00:00What are some of the awkward, uncomfortable, terrible things that have happened to you on set?
00:07Oh, gosh.
00:09Ooh, that actually reminds me of something I definitely want to talk about before our time is up today.
00:14Okay, great.
00:16Actually, I'll lead into it very well.
00:17So, two issues of kind of consent.
00:23One of the just awkward, funny things was there was a girl-girl scene I was doing.
00:27We were in 69, and she definitely farted, but it was like a silent but deadly fart.
00:36Oh, no.
00:37And I'm such a professional.
00:41I said nothing.
00:42I just kept the scene going.
00:44I didn't laugh.
00:46I said, yeah.
00:47But when someone puts that scene out there, like, I just, you know, it's a very, it's a funny memory.
00:54It's a good little.
00:55Do you, like, think about that when you see her?
00:58Did she acknowledge it at any point?
00:59No.
01:00Yeah, I guess.
01:01How do you bring that up?
01:02Like, hey, did you notice when I farted in your face?
01:04Like, nobody says anything.
01:06I mean, like, also, sometimes, like, I don't know if we've all been there, but, like, we've been in similar, if you do this work, you've probably been in a similar situation.
01:12Like, I was on stage feature dancing, and I was, you know, just, like, I had my butt in some guy's face, and, like, I did, like, a roll.
01:21And as I'm coming over to the other guy, like, I definitely farted in his face, and I really hoped it was fine.
01:27I have no idea, because I quickly moved away.
01:29I just wanted him to think it was the guy sitting next to him.
01:33But, you know.
01:34But was it loud?
01:35No.
01:35Okay.
01:36Well, it was probably audible, but, like, quiet enough.
01:41Like, there's music going on, you know?
01:43I feel like.
01:44That, like, he could be unsure.
01:47Yes.
01:48He's like, was that a fart, or was that, like, her latex or her boots?
01:51Exactly.
01:52So, that's my funny story from set.
01:55My, like, uncomfortable, horrible things that have happened on set.
02:00I'm going to skip over one I was just going to talk about.
02:02Okay.
02:03We'll talk about it off camera.
02:05But the other two are pretty safe.
02:06So, this was back in, like, 2017, 18.
02:11Before, all studios were very strict about the 14-day testing.
02:15Yeah.
02:16Some studios back at this time were doing 30-day testing.
02:18There was a weird in-between.
02:20There was.
02:20Where it was, like, some studios were doing 14-day testing, and other ones were okay with 28-day testing.
02:26And it was kind of, like.
02:27Yeah.
02:27Yeah, it was a weird time.
02:28It was a weird time.
02:29So, that was that time.
02:31And I was on set.
02:33We had all gone through makeup.
02:34It was me, a girl that was of similar notoriety to myself, and a whale.
02:43You know?
02:43Like, a really popular girl.
02:45A really popular?
02:45No, no, no.
02:52I was like, oh, don't cancel me for that.
02:54And we had all gone through makeup.
02:58And then the director pulls me and the other girl aside and says, hey, she forgot to get tested.
03:06Technically, on your call sheet, it says 14-day tests.
03:09But, you know, are you two, would you be comfortable doing the scene anyway?
03:14Because technically, our company policy is 30 days.
03:17And I did not feel safe to say no because of who this, the girl who forgot to get tested was.
03:24Now, this was, it was like a 17- or 18-day test.
03:27Like, back then, actually not a big deal.
03:30However, when you go to set and you're expecting everyone's going to be 14-day tested, it's kind of the principle of the thing.
03:37And it was, it was pretty horrible that.
03:41To be put in that position.
03:42To be put in that position.
03:43The onus of responsibility for testing and consent is on the producer-director.
03:48And he never should have asked us.
03:50He should have sent her home, regardless of how popular she was.
03:53And I think that's the thing is, it's because of her popularity that she could get away with it.
03:58Yeah.
03:59So, that's the sort of thing that I'm really glad has changed in the industry quite a bit.
04:04Is now that people are, people in productions are so much more strict about the 14-day testing, it doesn't matter how popular you are.
04:12That's the kind of thing you will get sent home for.
04:14So, that's one of those things that the industry has evolved with.
04:17And I think everybody understands that now, too.
04:18Like, we're at a point now where people get that.
04:21You know what I mean?
04:21Like, that performer would understand, you know, that their test was late and that they need to go home.
04:27Right.
04:27I mean, my policy, especially after COVID, was I had to get everybody's test the day before.
04:34A lot of people are doing that now.
04:35Yeah.
04:35And if you weren't cleared, even if, like, your test, you know, because some girls would be like, oh, I'm getting tested, like, the day before or something.
04:42And then my test will come back the day of the shoot.
