00:00Perikatan National, PN, will contest 41 seats in the 17th Sabah state election on November 29, the coalition announced on Tuesday.
00:12Its chairman, Tanshri Muhyiddin Yassin, unveiled the list of candidates, with Sabah PN chief Ronald Kiandi set to contest in Sugut after 35 years.
00:22Sugut falls under the Beluran parliamentary constituency, which Kiandi has represented in the Dewan Rakyat for six terms.
00:30Muhyiddin said the line-up includes 33 candidates from Bersatu, five from PAS, and three from Gerakan.
00:37He added that nearly 90 percent of the candidates are new faces, while around 30 percent are youth candidates.
00:44Of the total nominees, five are women, representing roughly 15 percent of the line-up.
