00:00Тоби и Шон Эллиотт, следующий.
00:06Великолепно, Вилл Пурдю,
00:08формер СПУР,
00:104-time NBA champion.
00:12Look at this.
00:14Hey, let me tell you something.
00:16Do you see Вилл Пурдю
00:18laying that ball up?
00:20Absolutely not.
00:22He's throwing it down with authority.
00:24And you've joined us here courtside.
00:26How about that?
00:27I can't believe it.
00:28And I also had to change my ring to make sure I put the Spurs ring.
00:31Yes, you did.
00:33And he came prepared.
00:34He has notes, Sean.
00:35Yeah, I know.
00:36Yeah, but here's the thing.
00:39Hey, Jacob, you and I just met today.
00:41Yes, we did.
00:42Honor to Prudvich.
00:43I have a tendency when I'm doing games for Westwood One Radio or somebody like that,
00:48I write the names down.
00:50Now, obviously, you can't read what I put down in case I didn't understand Sean.
00:53I cannot read that word.
00:56Is that a nickname he used to call him?
00:58I wasn't the only one.
01:00What's it like to be back together, guys?
01:04Unbelievable.
01:05Will Will's my man.
01:06I mean, obviously, one of my all time favorite teammates.
01:10You know, the thing about Will that was funny to me when the first year I played with him,
01:16is that he was like one of the first players I ever saw that would, like, talk back and yell at the coach.
01:21He's like, what?
01:22What are you talking about?
01:23And I was like, wait, this dude will produce.
01:25He's sassy.
01:26Well, Pop made the mistake of saying that I want the players to have a voice.
01:33I don't think I quite understood the statement.
01:35Right.
01:36But, you know, also, I want to make sure to give a shout out to Daniel and the kick.
01:42Yes.
01:43That, you know, they were part of the Spurs organization when I was there.
01:47They've obviously done a great job.
01:48They're still here.
01:50You know, they put up with Sean's crap.
01:53Well, they're still here because we couldn't find replacements.
01:57I just, you know, the main thing is just remember this, Jacob.
02:06If he turns into a diva, you can put him in his place.
02:09He's okay.
02:10Can I, though?
02:11Yes.
02:12I don't know.
02:13I'll be scared to put him in his place.
02:15I mean, if I turn into a diva.
02:18He didn't step foot.
02:19He didn't step foot out in the snow today.
02:21He was surprised to see him in Chicago.
02:24He's a diva.
02:25I mean, where do the Sean Elliott stories start?
02:28Yeah, you.
02:30Oh, no.
02:31I hope this wasn't a big mistake.
02:35I was given specific instructions by Tom James.
02:38Oh, you were?
02:39Oh, and they're going to be all good.
02:41But as far as Sean goes, so for those that don't remember, I was the guy that was traded
02:48for Dennis.
02:49Yep.
02:50Okay.
02:51So, I mean, even from the day that I was traded, I always considered that to be an honor, right?
02:57The guy's in the Hall of Fame, right?
02:59He just, you know, his ideal didn't match up with the future of what the Spurs are trying
03:06to do.
03:07Yep.
03:08And Sean was probably the first guy that actually talked to me as a person.
03:16Because I got, it was the year of the lockout, and I always try to tell people it was a lockout.
03:22Yeah.
03:23Yes.
03:24Right.
03:25We did not, you know, and I just remember I get there on Tuesday.
03:32We leave for Austin on Wednesday because that first year we play, we had practice at Austin,
03:39UT.
03:40Right, yeah.
03:41And their student facility, we would go twice, twice a day.
03:46And it was one of the best experiences for me because a lot of people, like, talk about,
03:51well, you missed all those championships in Chicago.
03:53But I say, actually, it helped me find who I was as a player.
03:57Right?
03:58And I was able to help the organization win their first championship in 99.
04:02But I just remember, practice would always start with the bigs on one end and the guards
04:07on the other.
04:08Right?
04:09Mm-hmm.
04:10And for some reason, Sean found it necessary to kind of, while he was on the other end of
04:15the floor, peek down at us because you start out with the bigs on one end.
04:20Yeah.
04:21And we do this drill.
04:25And Pop told me before practice, the very first practice, we traded for you for a reason.
04:30You've got eight games in four weeks to prove to us what you can do.
04:33We're not going to hold you to anything regarding what you did in Chicago.
04:37Show us what we think you can do and if you think you can do more.
04:40He was even like, if you've got to shoot 10 threes a game, go for it.
04:43Oh.
04:44I still didn't shoot a single one.
04:46But the first time, you know, they bring the guys out.
04:50The bigs always play one-on-one on the block, right?
04:53And I run out there and I'm like, I've got to prove myself.
04:56I'm like, you know, I've been in the league.
04:59I'm a veteran, won a couple of championships.
05:00But I felt like I needed to prove something to these guys.
05:03So I went out and I played defense on day first.
05:06And Dave did some little move.
05:07I don't think he understood, you know, what I was trying to accomplish.
05:12Kind of did some like little half-hook and I blocked it.
05:15And from the other end of the floor, I just hear somebody go,
05:18that's what I'm talking about.
05:19So that's when I kind of knew who Sean was and what he stood for.
05:28And that, I just forgot about this.
05:31So that's another thing we have in common.
05:33Both of us were traded for Dennis, right?
05:35Yeah, that's exactly right.
05:36And, you know, one of the things that people talk about as far as what makes teams so good
05:47was the relationships that you develop off the floor, right?
05:52And the other thing about Sean was is that Avery and Dave would get into some religious discussions
06:00on the bus, on the plane.
06:01Oh, yeah.
06:02Right?
06:03Yes.
06:04And those of us that weren't as smart.
06:07I mean, how many threes is this guy going to hit tonight?
06:10That's three.
06:11He's got more left.
06:12I mean, I just couldn't imagine trying to guard this guy, right?
06:16No, it'd be a nightmare for...
06:17Well, it's a nightmare for any pick.
06:19Yeah.
06:20Because of how much room he now has to operate.
06:22Because you've got to respect the three-pointer.
06:24How many has he hit tonight?
06:25Where's the three?
06:26He's hit three of them.
06:27Three out of five.
06:28Right?
06:29And he hit two in a row.
06:30But I remember in the second quarter, not only does he then block Vooch's shot
06:34and Vooch is claiming for a bull tending.
06:37But what makes his shot so difficult is because he blocks the ball so far from the rim.
06:43Usually as bigs, you're used to blocking the ball close to the rim.
06:46Right.
06:47Right?
06:48Yep.
06:49This could be a huge mistake.
06:51Oh!
06:52Right on cue with Purdue!
06:55And because of his length, Vooch did everything he could do.
06:59Right.
07:00Yeah.
07:01Throws his body into him.
07:02Look, ball fake, head fake.
07:03When Viana bites.
07:04But because of his length and he has that second jump that's so quick,
07:08LaVooch is looking around going, what do you want me to do?
07:12Pass it out.
07:14That's fun.
07:15The Memorial Day Miracle.
07:17May 31st, 99 Western Conference Finals.
07:21Will Purdue, what do you remember about the Memorial Day Miracle?
07:26Okay, so listen.
07:29Here's the thing about this.
07:31All right.
07:32Pause.
07:34If Sean was an upper body shooter, we were screwed.
07:40But because he shot with his legs, he never brought his heels down.
07:44If he would have been a shooter like Larry Bird, he would have stepped on the sideline because Larry Bird shot with his upper body.
07:50Sean was a lower body shooter, and as a lower body shooter, if you're on your heels, you can't shoot.
07:56So when he caught the ball, he was on the balls of his feet, not his toes.
08:00Right.
08:01And he was able to then, because he was shot with his legs, he was able to take it up and shoot it.
08:05I mean, we all, because of the angle of the bench, we all thought he stepped on the end line.
08:09How could he possibly not?
08:10Right?
08:11Right.
08:12And there's no replay back then.
08:14That's right.
08:15But didn't we have, by the time we got in the locker room, Joe Pronte had it pulled up on the screen and we watched it in the locker room to see if that actually was legit or not.
08:27Yeah.
08:28It was legit.
08:29Let's check it.
08:30But that was crushing to Portland.
08:32Yes, it was.
08:35Speak it, Will.
08:36That just took the win right out of their sails.
08:39They had outplayed us in both those games at home.
08:42They did.
08:43And they came back.
08:44I was looking at my ring.
08:45I was like, does it say when our playoff record wasn't here somewhere?
08:48I think.
08:49We lost two that year.
08:50No, it doesn't.
08:51So we went 15-2?
08:52Yeah, I believe it was.
08:53Because that was, was it still five in the first?
08:55Yeah, we beat Minnesota 3-1.
08:57So it was 15-2, right?
08:59Probably the most impressive was the sweep of the Lakers, though, right?
09:02A sweep of Lakers and Portland.
09:04And that was when Phil Jackson was so pissed that he's like, well, you know, we should put an asterisk next to that.
09:11Pretty good, Will.
09:12I mean, that's pretty good.
09:13Phil Jackson.
09:14That's what he sounded like.
09:15I played for him enough.
09:16I know.
09:17But, um.
09:20Fox, nice drive.
09:22What's, what's the biggest thing that stands out from that 99 team when you think back and look at your ringer?
09:26Well, I started telling that story about camaraderie, right?
09:29Yep.
09:30And the things that we learned that I was telling a story about and I kind of got distracted by women, Yana, which is easy to do.
09:36But we was talking about how I knew who Sean was and what he stood for because Sean was not afraid of anything.
09:46And my point was is that unless you really know, and this is more about beliefs than, you know, education, because of David and Avery's belief and knowledge of the Bible, I made the mistake of getting involved in that conversation one time.
10:04And I told myself I never would again, right?
10:08But they would be having that conversation on the bus and all of a sudden you knew something was said.
10:14Because this guy who would, was, I, would you classify yourself as an introvert back there?
10:20Yeah, yeah.
10:21Would all of a sudden be like, wait a minute.
10:24He would pipe up, right?
10:25And that's when I, when I was doing whatever I was doing.
10:28Oh, they actually put them in for me.
10:32Blue Cornette.
10:33Yeah.
10:34Yeah.
10:35Why not?
10:36Little Vandy on Vandy crime.
10:37But, uh.
10:39Oh my goodness.
10:40Vujovic had a wide open layup.
10:42But what is, but I'll ask Sean, when you have a shot blocker in the game, what is that?
10:46Instead of focusing on the rim, he's looking for where that's what we've been talking about.
10:50Yeah, and I've said it, I mean, a thousand times, Will.
10:52You know what I'm talking about.
10:53You, you're thinking about where is Victor and you take your eyes off the ball.
10:59Because he's basically looking at everything but the rim because he knows.
11:02Okay, look at this.
11:03Wide open.
11:04Where is this guy?
11:05He's trying to get it up so quick.
11:07Yep.
11:08That the ball literally just pops out of his hand like an orange, right?
11:13And I will say this about Luke.
11:14I mean, you think about, he's only played in two games, right?
11:18Yeah.
11:19I think he's played all of like 50 minutes.
11:21Yeah.
11:22But he's been very productive.
11:23And he's doing exactly what they assigned him to do.
11:26I mean, I'm not trying to be disrespectful, but he's an insurance policy.
11:29So when he comes in, his job is, quite honestly, I mean, I was told this coming off the bench, too.
11:36Just don't screw it up.
11:37Right?
11:38Come in.
11:39Play hard.
11:40Have a positive impact on the game.
11:42Right?
11:43You're down four when he comes in.
11:44So this is us, a guy coming off the bench.
11:47This is what you dream about, right?
11:52You're down four.
11:54I get two or three minutes, right?
11:56If I can come out and we've cut that, even if we've cut that lead from four to two, I've been successful in my role.
12:02Right?
12:03And what did he do?
12:04He set a hell of a screen, opens these guys up.
12:07He's a communicator on the back end.
12:09He's a guy that has an incredible basketball IQ.
12:12Mm-hmm.
12:13And he fits right into what San Antonio's trying to do.
12:15Exactly.
12:16Right?
12:17Great offensive rebounder.
12:18Look at that protector.
12:19He just did.
12:20He didn't try to block the shot.
12:22Because if he tries to block the shot, he probably commits the foul, right?
12:25But he just keeps his hands up because he's a big body.
12:28And he won the title with Boston.
12:31So he was bringing that championship experience.
12:33You brought the championship experience from the Bulls to the Spurs.
12:37And you can kind of teach the young guys as well.
12:39Remember those moments?
12:40Yeah.
12:41That's the other thing.
12:42You know who asked the most questions?
12:43Sean.
12:44He did.
12:45Yeah.
12:46Were they all good questions?
12:47Yes, they were.
12:48Okay.
12:49Well, I remember the big discussion we got into on the plane about drinking wine.
12:55Yeah.
12:56And this is before I was a wine drinker at all.
12:58And it was funny to hear David and Avery argue that Jesus drank non-alcoholic wine.
13:06I'll never forget that argument.
13:08I think Avery had his tongue in his cheek that entire time.
13:14That right there, that's what Bozellis has really improved on as far as his game goes, right?
13:19The ability now to shoot the three to extend the defense.
13:22That was something they told him he had to work on.
13:24I love this kid because he's got an incredible, you know, he doesn't have an ego.
13:29He talks about how his, he wants to be the most improved player this year.
13:34Yeah, yeah, it's pretty incredible.
13:35That's a goal.
13:36Tell us a little bit about, you know, number 23 that you played with for a number of years
13:41and his competitive drive.
13:43And what's your thoughts about, you know, the greatest players of all time
13:47from, you know, the comparisons being made to Michael.
13:54You know, and I know everybody talks about who's, who's your, who's the guy that, you know, is the closest to Michael.
14:01Yeah.
14:02I'll bring that by saying, you guys can talk about whoever you want, but like to me, the closest to Michael was Kobe.
14:08Right.
14:09And not just because he basically patterned his game off of him, but just, what people don't understand is the killer instinct that Michael had.
14:18Right, the killer.
14:19It's just, you, that's just, and that is something you can learn, right?
14:24But people ask the question, you know, what was it like playing with Michael?
14:29You know, I was like, it was hard because of the expectations that he had for you as a player.
14:36Right.
14:37And I got the utmost compliment from Michael after I got traded.
14:42Ran into him at all places on the golf course.
14:44Right.
14:45He walked up to me and hugged me and the ultimate compliment was we traded the wrong guy.
14:50And, you know, I, I, I missed out on three championships here.
14:54But as what I talked about was, is I found a voice of who I was, what the player I could be, and answered a lot of questions.
15:01If that trade's not made, you know, I probably won six championships, but I'm still here at 60 years old.
15:07Why, being this close to the game, thinking about what I could have, should have, you know, if I didn't have certain limitations that were put on me because I played a specific role in the triangle offense, which suited me quite well, quite honestly, because of my basketball IQ.
15:22But to get back to Michael, I always use this example, right?
15:25And people just kind of like, they nervously laugh when I make, say this comment.
15:30And Michael would be the guy that would make the ultimate sacrifice, which I don't think today's players truly understand what that term means.
15:41Right?
15:48Now that's a foul there in Victor.
15:50Was he, was, uh, P. Will inside the circle?
15:54I'm just curious.
15:55Let's see.
15:56Oh, he got outside.
15:58Oh, it's actually Smith.
15:59He was outside.
16:00So it's a good call.
16:02That's a tough one once.
16:03Cause you know, and that's where probably the, the progression of one women Yana is that with the mid range, right?
16:10Right.
16:11Where he can stop instead of taking all the ball all the way to the basket, picking up those charges.
16:14And in the mid range for him, it's not going to be a shot.
16:16It's going to be that new, the push shot that everybody has, right?
16:19So because of his length, you're not going to be able to block it.
16:22But the thing about Michael was, I give this example, if he had to basically take the bus and run over his mother to guarantee a win, he'd do it.
16:34But not only would he do it, he would put it in reverse and run back over just to make sure he finished the job.
16:42But then when he, when you would question him about it, he would look at you and say, my mom would, that's, even though it was my mother, if I didn't finish the job, she would look at me and go, you forgot something.
16:55But that's, he learned that from his mother, that killer instinct.
16:59Yeah.
17:00I mean, I talk about when I was playing with Michael, he got some kind of infection, right?
17:06He was playing games with a port in his arm because he was getting antibiotic treatments two or three times a day, right?
17:16And he literally had two of his toes sewed together.
17:20That's Timmy Duncan saying, what's up to you, Big Will?
17:24Well, Tim Duncan, oh, can I tell a good Tim Duncan story after the break?
17:29Yeah.
17:30Yes, please.
17:31Oh, here we go.
17:33Timmy texted Sean telling Will what's up.
17:36More Will Purdue after the break.
17:39Will Purdue represented well on the Bulls banners here inside of the United Center, four-time NBA champion.
17:45Three with the Bulls, one with the Spurs.
17:48Joining Sean and I here at the table, it's great to have you, great to see you.
17:53And just awesome to talk hoops with you, man.
17:55It is.
17:56But all right.
17:57So my first Tim Duncan story, right?
17:58Yes.
17:59Tim's here.
18:00We get drafted.
18:01I'm sitting with Dave on the bus.
18:02We're headed back to Austin.
18:04Dave leans over and he goes, does this guy know whose team this is?
18:12And I look at Dave and I go, eh, it's your team.
18:15He goes, I'm going to show this guy a little something in practice.
18:18And he goes, you're with me, right?
18:19I'm like, yeah, I'm with you.
18:21We have that first practice.
18:22It's still two-a-days.
18:23I walk by Dave and I go, good luck.
18:25Tim comes in with the shorts on, with the label on the back, wearing them backwards, right?
18:31Yes.
18:32You're like, what is this punk doing?
18:33Right, right, exactly.
18:34Who does this guy think he is, right?
18:36Couple under, up and under moves, couple finishes.
18:39I was like, okay.
18:40Yeah, Dave, I'm not sure if this is your team anymore.
18:44But I mean, he, this, as humble as Sean is, Tim might be the most humble champion you'll ever, ever, ever, ever.
18:54And the biggest prankster that you'll ever meet.
18:57Listen, I'm electronically, I'm just bad, right?
19:03And what I mean by camaraderie is, like, with this team, we would all go to lunch after practices.
19:09We'd go to dinner on the road.
19:11But I remember we were at lunch one time.
19:13Tim probably doesn't even remember this.
19:15But I go to the bathroom, and I come back, and Tim disappears, and he goes over in the corner,
19:21and he just keeps calling my phone, and he put on this girlish phone ring or something, right?
19:26And I look at my, and I'm like, whose phone is that?
19:28And I'm like, it's yours.
19:29I had no idea how to get it off.
19:31He just kept calling me, right?
19:33It was, I don't know what it was.
19:35But this guy used to just do stupid stuff like that, right?
19:38That would just get under your skin.
19:42But I just, I mean, I had so much fun playing with this guy.
19:45His, his basketball IQ, his knowledge of the game, how humble he was, right?
19:50And then his master of nonverbal communication was, I just loved playing with him because you didn't have to talk with him.
19:57Right?
19:58You could read.
19:59You could read his eyes, right?
20:01Yeah.
20:02What he was thinking, what he wanted to do.
20:04And probably the most fun I ever had with Tim was when I came back to the Bulls for a year, and we played you guys here.
20:14And I told the coach, I said, I want to guard Tim.
20:19They're like, why?
20:20I said, because I'm going to drive him nuts.
20:22They're like, what are you talking about?
20:23I said, I don't care if he scores 60, but I'm not going to go for one single pump fake.
20:28And he would sit there and he'd look at me, he goes, aren't you going to go?
20:32I'm like, no, just shoot it.
20:34I'll contest it once you shoot it, but I'm not going to allow you to pump fake me in your little one step dunk.
20:39And I'm like, not happening, right?
20:41That looked like Timmy's pump fake too.
20:43Oh.
20:44But if you made a mistake and look at him in the eyes, you were done.
20:49It was over, right?
20:50Right.
20:51Because he was just the master of the eyebrow fake, right?
20:54It just, I loved how he would work on the game always.
20:59He practiced all the time, you know, and it was just, it was such an honor to play with him.
21:05And Sean as well, real quick, best par I've ever seen on a par four was playing with this guy at the quarry, right?
21:14Quarry.
21:15Puts a tee down, hits one 300 yards, but unfortunately it was three fairways over.
21:21Right.
21:22He says, you know what?
21:24That's still what I do.
21:25I'm going to do it again.
21:26Hits another 300 yarder to about six feet, taps in for par.
21:30He looks at me and he goes, yeah, that's my game right there.
21:34That sums it up, big fella.
21:38And so, but so you haven't matured any on the golf course?
21:41No, my game's gotten, I mean, it's up and down.
21:44I saw your, I saw your handicap earlier on your phone.
21:47But I will say this, okay?
21:49You're 10, 10 six.
21:50Since Tim's watching, and that tells you something about this team as well.
21:54Tim's watching the game, right?
21:56I mean, it's a slow night in San Antonio, but he's watching the game.
22:01I want to come down to San Antonio and have him build me a car.
22:04Oh, yeah.
22:05Because that's, that's my ultimate dream is American muscle.
22:09That's, that's what I've got.
22:11Blackjack, this blackjack shop.
22:13Every time I pull in to get tires or something, you have all these hot rod cars out there that have been rebuilt.
22:19But I mean, I want like an old Chevy Camaro SS, um, you know, one of the old school muscle cars, you know, that that, that the coaster was killed off of.
22:31You know, with the old 400 horsepower V8.
22:35And, uh, I would love for him, I'd love to talk to him and get some of his creativity and do something like that.
22:42Just ring him up.
22:43Get Billy and Jason to do with you a nice one.
22:46As you know, I try to be safe right now and I drive a Tahoe because it's big and if I get in an accident, you know, you try to all this smart stuff, right?
22:54But I want to go back to my roots.
22:56You know, I grew up as a, as a racer.
22:58The only reason I played basketball is I raced quarter midgets, go karts.
23:03Then when I got too tall, I had to figure something else because my dad was a weekend warrior.
23:07Luckily, it was basketball.
23:09Will Purdue, thank you so much for being with us here in the third quarter.
23:12Awesome.
23:13This was awesome.
23:14Is there actually a game going on right now?
23:16I think so.
23:17It's working to rally.
23:19It wasn't really good luck for the Spurs, wasn't it?
23:23What's up?
23:24Of course, home NBA champ, Will Purdue.
23:26Thank you, man.
23:27By USAA, proudly serving the military community and their families for over 100 years.
23:34And by Whataburger, your favorite burger whenever you want it.
23:37Whataburger is open 24-7, just like you like it.
23:42Fourth quarter time here in Chicago.
23:44The Bulls have taken the lead here since the first quarter, Sean.
23:4972-55, the Bulls have outscored the Spurs.
23:52Yeah, and I really thought our defense was lacking in that second quarter.
23:56And defense kind of continued to remain the same there in the third.
24:01Well, great to catch up with Will Purdue in that third quarter, Sean.
24:05Such a special bond that that 99 team always has.
24:10Yeah.
24:11And Brazellis is going crazy.
24:12Yep.
24:13Brazellis is going absolutely nuts here.
24:15But, yeah, I mean, winning a championship, there's nothing like, you know, doing it as a team,
24:21bringing everybody across the finish line, and obviously, Will was a huge part of that.
24:25Largest lead for the Bulls here, up 12.
24:27Spurs had a 12-point lead in the first quarter.
24:29Hey!
24:30Cornette couldn't come down with it.
24:31Got fouled.
24:32And he'll get to the free throw line.
24:34He was loving Luke Cornette, Will Purdue was.
24:39Rightfully so.
24:40That was a hit.
24:41Luke should be shooting free throws here.
24:42I don't even know what the discussion is about.
24:43And he should be.
24:44Run up for now, you.
24:45No!
24:46No!
24:47No!
24:48No!
24:49No!
24:50No!

25:04Looking!
25:09Look, the former Bowl, 49 career games with the Bulls.
25:13Parts of two seasons.
25:17This is the first one now message from Frost Bank.

35:52이름, I thought the Bulls
35:54should have taken advantage of
35:55last time.
35:56And then Harder makes it bad.
35:57וסprice of this even through that ball.
36:00He's a terrific low post play.
36:03But he's still got a 3-ball out of it.
36:05Hevin Hurder has come alive.
36:06He's got 22 points to lead the Bulls.

45:15не знаю.
45:16Лиза got a free dog out of it.
45:20You knew he was going to take
45:23that three ball.
45:24You have to know that the way
45:27he's feeling it.
45:28We've seen it throughout his
45:30career early on.
45:32There's the sumo who puts him up
45:35five big time three ball there.
45:37Great passing herder out of the
45:39corner.
45:40Then you have an alley you begin
45:41you have the weak side
45:42defenders that for some reason
45:45to make a loop on that off of
45:47that play.
45:48And then of course it's the area
45:51fifty one takeover.
45:52There it is.
45:54Freak to alien.
45:55And then there's a big block.
45:56They almost blocked it.
45:57They almost blocked it into the
45:59basket.
46:00And then you give it right back
46:02to him.
46:03Mixes up Bruce a vision like
46:05Will Purdue said it's a nightmare
46:07for bigs.
46:08They're not accustomed to playing
46:09that far away from the basket
46:11and guarding a seven footer
46:13seven plus footer.
46:14He plays like a guard.
46:16Six of nine from three point
46:18land.
46:19Thirty six points.
46:22And a clutch shot from Victor
46:23Wemenyama.
46:24But there's still time.
46:27There's still time.
46:28You got to cover up the three
46:29point line here.
46:32That's pretty obvious.
46:33And again you got to talk
46:34everything out.
46:35Talk out every switch.
46:37It's not a point in the ball game
46:38where you can say okay my bad
46:39I did we didn't communicate.
46:41That doesn't cut it right now.
46:44The game is on the line.
46:45Talk out everything.
46:46How about this five blocks five
46:55three pointers women Yama six
46:56games since 2023 2024 and the rest
47:00of the NBA behind him in 26 to 10.
47:05Spurs the last nine minutes.
47:07And who's it off of.
47:12That was almost a ball game right
47:13there.
47:17Chicago, Chicago.
47:20Chicago with time 18 seconds
47:21Dosumu.
47:23Inbounding.
47:25Looking.
47:26Trying to get it to Herter.
47:27Herter for three.
47:29No.
47:30Castle the rebound foul Trey Jones.
47:35Well our guys decided to start
47:38playing some D in the last four
47:39or five minutes of the ball game.
47:41Well that was the key.
47:43And of course Victor.
47:46Well I don't even know how many
47:47three balls three here late in
47:49the fourth.
47:54Castle with a chance to make it a
47:55two possession game.
47:58First one good.
48:11The Bulls have one timeout
48:12remaining.
48:13Billy Donovan's going to call it.
48:15It goes in.
48:16It does.
48:17And he's actually not going to call
48:18it.
48:19Okay.
48:21Five point game trade.
48:23And foul given by the Spurs.
48:27The Bulls have one to give.
48:34Fourteen point eight seconds
48:35remaining.
48:40But you bitch.
48:50Kind of get it to somebody.
48:51It's Williams.
48:53And.
49:00No idea what the call is.
49:04They call it on Barnes.
49:06It was before the shot.
49:08Obviously.
49:13So Kevin Herter will shoot free
49:14throws.
49:15Herter.
49:16Eighty six percent this season.
49:17Seventy seven percent for his
49:18career.
49:23Right side of your screen.
49:24Oh yeah.
49:25There's the hold.
49:34You just got tangled up there.
49:36Hard to tell who's holding who.
49:39Herter misses the second one.
49:41Women.
49:42Yama the rebound.
49:43And they foul him.
49:4812 rebounds for Wemby.
49:51And can ice it here.
50:00Make them both for good measure.
50:02Don't foul.
50:03Let's get on the plane.
50:04Go home.
50:05Get ready for the Golden State
50:06Warriors back to back.
50:24First one down for women Yama.
50:25The bench loves it.
50:26Bulls controlled.
50:27The middle part of this game.
50:28The second and third quarter.
50:29But the Spurs.
50:30Have done their job here in the
50:31fourth.
50:33And out towards Chicago.
50:34Thirty two to seventeen.
50:35And Billy Donovan takes his
50:36final timeout.
50:37He gets a chance to advance the
50:38ball.
50:39Maybe he gets a quick hitter
50:40for a three.
50:41He's counting on them trying to
50:42get a steal in another three
50:43ball or just extending the
50:44game however he can.
50:46So that's going to be the
50:47game.
50:48That's going to be the
50:49awfully difficult right now.
50:50If our guys just continue to
50:51step up to the free throw line
50:52and knock them down.
50:54A big double double last game
50:55eighteen and eighteen for
50:56Victor.
50:57And.
50:58He has been amazing tonight.
50:59Thirty eight twelve five and
51:00five.
51:01And somebody that I know really
51:02well said.
51:03Get him the ball please.
51:04Especially in the fourth
51:05quarter when he had it
51:06rolling.
51:07Great.
51:08And he has been amazing
51:09tonight.
51:10Thirty eight twelve five and
51:11five.
51:12And somebody that I know really
51:13well said.
51:14Get him the ball please.
51:15Especially in the fourth
51:16quarter when he had it
51:17rolling.
51:18It's not that difficult.
51:21He has it going on.
51:22He's going to draw so much
51:23attention.
51:24And he has it going on
51:25especially.
51:26But beyond the arc.
51:27He's really feeling it.
51:28And so he's just going to
51:29make the game so much easier.
51:33Especially when he could do
51:34that.
51:37That's pretty much unguardable.
51:38You're going to guard him
51:39with a big guy.
51:40The big guy has no shot if
51:41Victor is rolling from
51:43beyond the arc.
51:44Women Yama 38 points.
51:48The second most a Spurs
51:50player has scored against
51:51the Bulls ever.
51:53Iceman had 44 in a game
51:55against the Bulls.
51:56But when B.
51:57With 38 second most points.
51:59In Spurs history against
52:01Chicago.
52:02A special game from Victor.
52:146.4 on the clock.
52:17Sumo to inbound.
52:20That hands up.
52:21You see how difficult it is
52:22to see the former
52:23victors in front of you.
52:24Hits it right back.
52:25He's going to drive.
52:26For two.
52:27Clock stops at three.
52:28Still a two point game.
52:30Depossession game rather.
52:31And Mitch Johnson has to
52:33call a timeout.
52:35Bulls did a good job of
52:37putting pressure on the
52:38Spurs.
52:41Not over yet.
52:42Use that timeout.
52:43You advance the basketball.
52:44That's it all the way to the
52:45front court.
52:46Even if the Bulls get a
52:47steal.
52:48They need a four point play
52:49to tie this thing up.
52:51So this one game road trip
52:52to Chicago.
52:53And then back home for five.
52:55For San Antonio.
52:56Two straight against the
52:57Warriors.
52:58Wednesday and Friday.
52:59That Friday game.
53:00NBA Cup game.
53:01The Kings.
53:02The Grizzlies.
53:03And the Hawks.
53:04It will be nice to be at
53:05home for a little bit
53:06there.
53:07You can establish
53:08something.
53:09The home crowds have been
53:10absolutely insane.
53:11The last couple of games.
53:12So you know what it's
53:13going to be like Wednesday
53:14and Friday with the Warriors
53:15in town.
53:16You got to bring that same
53:17energy.
53:18You need that same kind of
53:19energy.
53:20You need that same kind of
53:21energy.
53:22You need that same kind of
53:23energy.
53:24You need that same kind of
53:25energy.
53:26You need that same kind of
53:27energy.
53:28You need that same kind of
53:29energy.
53:30You need that same kind of
53:31crowd energy on Sunday
53:32against the Kings.
53:33Well Sean we've mentioned
53:34it.
53:35The Spurs five and one in
53:36clutch games this year.
53:37They have the best
53:38offensive rating in clutch
53:39games this season and have
53:41scored the third most
53:42points in that clutch
53:45scenario.
53:46They have been excellent.
53:47Yeah.
53:48So far.
53:49We've seen it was New
53:50Orleans.
53:51Brooklyn.
53:52Yeah.
53:53Against the Houston Rockets.
53:54They executed down the
53:55stretch.
53:56And it's nice to see.
53:57Those are all games that you
53:58go back to the last couple
53:59of years.
54:00You figure we wouldn't have
54:02won our share of those
54:03games.
54:08Harrison Barnes will throw it
54:09in.
54:10Chicago's got a foul quickly.
54:11We'll hope for a steal.
54:13Spurs up for Barnes looking
54:17through it up in the castle.
54:19Chicago lets them go.
54:22Well the plan was you get a
54:24steal.
54:25Make something happen.
54:26If they come up and catch
54:27the ball.
54:28You're just going to foul.
54:29You're really not going to
54:30have any chance.
54:31And so.
54:32Might as well let the clock run
54:33out.
54:37The Spurs beat the Bulls one
54:38twenty one to one seventeen.
