06:28Roo has expensive tastes today
06:30Still contemplating that 175 pound pole screen
06:35These silver trays are stunning
06:39But way outside of my budget
06:41But this is what's caught my eye
06:44This isn't particularly stand out
06:47You see it on every dressing table
06:48The perfume bottles, the hairpin holders
06:51The cut glass and the crystal
06:53But this is a hair pot
06:56It was made as a part of a dressing table set
06:59Now this is 1925
07:02So it's late Art Deco
07:03Cut glass, let's check the condition
07:06Looks good
07:08Signs of wear but the silver
07:10There's one little dent on there
07:13But you know what, that's to be expected
07:16This seems to have held its own
07:18Considering it is, oh, exactly 100 years old
07:21Happy birthday pot
07:22£34, that could be a nice little buy
07:26But it all adds up to 287
07:28Hector
07:31Do you know what makes me really happy?
07:35A gong
07:36That's a good loud one
07:39I think you have his attention
07:41I found three things
07:42OK
07:42One is the peacock fire screen
07:45And then you've also got a pair of cloisoni vases
07:47That are 78
07:48And then this little chap at 34
07:52So, I don't know if you're Team Ru or Team David
07:55Or Team David
07:57Are you?
07:58No, I'm not
07:59Don't do that to me
08:02He's a tease
08:03The poll screen especially
08:05I mean, I know it's a big ask
08:07But if you don't ask, you don't get
08:08Looks apprehensive
08:10I was thinking
08:11Rock bottom, 80
08:14OK, go on ahead, 80 quid
08:1780 quid
08:18Fine, fine, OK
08:19The cloisoni vases
08:21Could they be
08:2340-ish?
08:2750
08:2845
08:30OK
08:32And then your hair tidy here
08:34At 34
08:36Could that just be a nice round 20?
08:39The death on it
08:40No bargaining
08:41OK
08:4220 quid
08:42OK, done
08:43145 in total
08:46Would 140 be cheeky?
08:49Yes, it would
08:50Go on ahead
08:52140
08:53Hector, you are such a good man
08:56Trojan, I'd say
08:58Making the screen 80
09:00The vases 40
09:01And the pot 20 pounds
09:03Cheeky doesn't cover it
09:07And so, with goods to be collected later
09:09And 60 pounds left over
09:10Rue is departing from Ballyclare
09:13And we'll catch up with David
09:15Last seen taking a shine
09:17To a bit of brass
09:18Oh, I like that
09:20So
09:23Looks like maybe a picture frame
09:26But it isn't
09:27It's a pocket watch stand
09:30And fortunately
09:31We do have a pocket watch
09:33So I can demonstrate
09:34Because when this was made
09:35Pocket watches were a necessity
09:38It's well before the invention
09:40Of the wrist watch
09:41Late Victorian by the looks of it
09:44And if you had something about you
09:45You would always put your pocket watch
09:47In its specific pocket watch stand
09:51And therefore creating
09:54A lovely little mantel clock
09:57Isn't that gorgeous?
09:58OK
09:59£68
10:00Now, is there a market for pocket watch stands?
10:04Well, yes
10:05It's a very big yes
10:07Let's add it to the list then
10:08Anything else?
10:09Oh, he's nice
10:12Oh
10:14Don't you think he's nice?
10:17In miniature door knocker
10:19He's bronze
10:19But look at the way he's worn down
10:22The Durham Cathedral
10:24Has a great big bronze knocker
10:28That looks remarkably like this character
10:30David's a County Durham resident, of course
10:33It's called the Sanctuary Knocker
10:34Because if you were a criminal
10:36Running through the streets of Durham
10:38If you got to the Durham Cathedral main door
10:42And grabbed hold of the Sanctuary Knocker
10:45And screamed Sanctuary
10:47The crowd behind you
10:50Legally were unable to touch you
10:53Well, not for 37 days at least
10:56No ticket price on that one
10:57He is gorgeous
10:59And for the right money
11:00I'd have it
11:02Now, Christine is definitely around here somewhere
11:06OK, I've got three objects
11:08Lovely
11:09Letter opener
11:10That could be 30
11:11Can it be 20?
11:13No
11:14No
11:14We might go 28
11:1728
11:18So we've got the pocket watch stand
11:21Our very best is 55
11:23Right
11:24Yes
11:25The bronze door knocker
11:26Oh, lovely
11:27Is he cheap and cheerful?
11:30I'll do him for 20
11:3120 is fine
11:31That's fine
11:32That's great
11:33Not half
11:34Another triple purchase
11:36103 in total
11:38With 97 left over
11:40I've never bought so much bronze in my life
11:43Back in Bryan
11:44Our trippers are together once again
11:47And about to take a brief break
11:48From their relentless acquisition of fine antiques
11:52Have you ever been to Belfast before, Ruth?
11:54I have
11:55Very exciting city
11:57Beautiful
11:57And it's vibrant
11:59Well, if David's got his directions right
12:02That's exactly where you're heading
12:04Northern Ireland's capital
12:05Which is rightly famed for its rich maritime history
12:10As both a port and a shipyard
12:12In which capacity
12:13It once contributed almost 10% of the world output
12:18Including several great ocean liners
12:21And one of the many attractions of the waterfront regeneration
12:25Is a piece of Victorian seafaring history
12:28Which, although almost 140 years old
12:31Only arrived here in Belfast in 2015
12:34That's it, eh?
12:38The great light
12:39Wow
12:39Ruth and David are about to find out more
12:42From Kerry Sweeney
12:43Of the Belfast Maritime Trust
12:46Hello
12:47Hi
12:48I'm David
12:49Nice to meet you
12:49Welcome to Belfast
12:50I'm Ruth
12:50And welcome to the great light
12:52What is the great light?
12:53It's one of the largest ever light house optics to be built
12:58It's 7 metres tall
12:59It's 3 metres wide
13:01And it weighs 10 tonnes
13:03Are we allowed in?
13:04Yes
13:04Follow me
13:05Although the light no longer fulfils its original purpose
13:09It seems fitting that it now occupies a place
13:11On the iconic Belfast waterfront
13:14Close to where the SS Titanic was constructed
13:17When was it actually built?
13:19This was built in 1887 in Paris
13:22And then it was in a lighthouse off the coast of Donegal, Tory Island
13:28Up until 1924
13:31And then they dismantled it
13:33And it went on to another lighthouse called Mew Island
13:36And then from Mew Island we rescued it
13:39When it was being replaced with an LED
13:41And how did you get it from its last location to here?
13:44It took a helicopter and two boats and a huge crane
13:49We had to dismantle it into hundreds of pieces
13:52Oh my goodness
13:53And then rebuild it
13:54Lighthouses like this one in Alexandria
13:57One of the world's seven wonders
13:59Have existed since ancient times
14:01During the 19th century
14:03The introduction of a revolutionary lens
14:05Thanks to French physicist Augustin Jean Fresnel
14:09Extended the beams of light much further out to sea
14:13Making lighthouses dramatically more effective
14:16How many are there in existence and where are they?
14:21There was only ever 30 of them made
14:24And you had different grades
14:26But this was the largest you would ever get
14:28And they were on landfall sites
14:30On the edge of the world
14:32Directing the shipping across those massive oceans
14:36In the worst of weather as well
14:38And that was their job
14:40One of those still in use
14:42Is the Cape Race Lighthouse in Canada
14:45Which in 1912 received the Titanic's distress call
14:49OK, I think we can let you pop up and have a look inside it
14:53Oh, I say how very exciting
14:54One at a time though, please
14:57Oh, ladders and me are not a good combination
15:00Especially wearing a cape
15:02Oh my goodness
15:04I'm a good shower singer
15:05But the acoustics are better up here
15:07I'll let you have a look
15:08Of course, aside from impressing school children
15:11And antiques experts
15:12The great light does still have plenty of uses
15:15Can you change it different colours for different occasions?
15:18Yeah, we do it all the time
15:20Which one's your personal favourite on this?
15:22I love pink
15:23Pink
15:23I might be with you on that
15:25Nice
15:26Well, that was a busy day
15:30Lots of shopping followed by a heap of history
15:33Sadly, now when we think of Titanic
15:35We think of Rose and Jack
15:37I've never seen the movie
15:39Have you never?
15:40No
15:40They found love despite their class differences
15:43Well, this is very much like us, Rue
15:45So if we were floating on a door
15:46Would you let me on the door?
15:48Oh, absolutely
15:48You would?
15:49You wouldn't even have to say sugar up, Rue
15:52Night-night
15:54Next morning, the Teach Yourself the Local Lingo classes are coming along nicely
16:04What's the crack is a good phrase, but one I've been saying for years, which I love is top of the morning to you
16:11That's lovely
16:12You know, in Northern Ireland, she's looked after us, hasn't she?
16:14Absolutely she has
16:16And they've also been helping themselves, of course, with David snaffling a paper knife, a pocket watch stand and a miniature door knocker, as you do
16:24He is gorgeous and for the right money, I'm happy
16:28He did, and so has £97 for today's purchases, while Rue spent a bit more on a pair of cloisonne vases, a dressing table pot and a Victorian pulse cream
16:40I've fallen hook, line and sinker in love with it
16:44Leaving just £60 in her kitty
16:47Not that a lack of cash is her only concern
16:50Is my driving getting better or worse?
16:53It's getting worse
16:53Is that normal?
16:56For once, I agree with you
16:57Well, our Brian seems to be taking it in his stride
17:01Their very next opportunity to buy will be back in Belfast
17:05Close to those famous shipyards at the On The Square Emporium
17:10Oh, David, I found my first buy
17:13Cats
17:13Look at these handsome boys
17:15I bagged them
17:16Honestly, you and cats
17:18Grrrr
17:19Wow
17:20Oh, hello
17:21Oh, this is going to be fun
17:22It's massive
17:231,300 square metres, actually
17:26Which should give them plenty of room to spread out
17:30And not be stepping on each other's toes too much
17:32Going once
17:36Going twice
17:38For the third time
17:39Sold
17:41Excitable as ever
17:44Oh
17:46Now this makes me happy
17:48I love a globe
17:49Because this is a snapshot
17:51Of the world at that time
17:53And this is an example of an educational globe
17:56This is 1960s
17:58It is beautiful
17:59And if I look closely
18:01I am actually on the map
18:04Well, I am Roo
18:05But Roo is really Arusha
18:08And if you look here
18:09Tanzania
18:10This is a safari town called Arusha
18:13Population just over 600,000
18:16I love it
18:17The price is £165
18:19It's probably about right because globes are collectible
18:24But I'll keep looking for something I can afford to buy
18:26£60 left, remember
18:28Roo
18:29Roo
18:29Hmm?
18:30Would you like to test your character, personality and nature?
18:35Is it a machine that can handle all of that?
18:37Not been invented yet
18:39Would you like your palm read
18:40Or would you like your love tested?
18:43Oh, my love tested
18:44Here we go
18:45Love that sound
18:49What'll it be?
18:53Poor fish
18:54Poor fish
18:55Oh, dear
18:56David's turn
18:57Are you ready?
18:58Yes
18:58Come on
18:59Come on
19:00Rich and famous
19:03Lordy
19:04That won't be forgotten in a hurry
19:05Although they really do need to press on
19:09And perhaps find something other than a fairground attraction
19:12Very nice
19:14Oh, I do like that
19:16It's the Bully Beef Tin Can Opener
19:19The famous bully beef
19:21In fact, they made millions of these
19:23But what's fascinating about the tin can opener
19:27Is that it was invented about 40 years after the invention of the tin can
19:32You really couldn't make it up, could you?
19:34So the tin can was invented in the early part of the 19th century
19:37And the can was designed to transport, of course, food around the world
19:42But also gunpowder and, crucially, seeds
19:45It might take months to get there
19:48But if you sealed them in a tin can, they were preserved perfectly
19:52But somebody had not thought about inventing a tin can opener
19:58Do you know that the manufacturers recommended that the best way to open a tin can
20:02Was using a hammer and a chisel
20:05Or a bayonet
20:06So very practical
20:09Works today as well as it did 150 years ago
20:15Price to 24 quid, it's fine
20:17But it's not going to make much more
20:18So as much as I love him, he's not going to auction
20:23No, can do
20:24How's his chum getting on?
20:27A lot of silver
20:28This is interesting
20:34Now I've got £60 left, not a huge amount of money
20:37So I'm looking for something small, safe and affordable
20:42Now you look at this
20:44You see so many of them in antique shops
20:46Not particularly fashionable
20:47They're these silver little pin dishes
20:50Often pierced work
20:52But I'm not sure if it's silver
20:54Because it's saying £12 on the price tag
20:57But it looks like silver
20:58It's got the feel, the sheen
21:00Ah
21:00That's what you're looking for
21:03Well spotted
21:04£12
21:05Not too exciting
21:06But you know what?
21:08I think that could sell for £30, £35 auction
21:11That has to be an easy profit
21:13Now I'm looking for something to tie in with it
21:17This ring is appealing to me
21:19This is definitely Marcus T
21:21The smoky grey quartz type stone
21:24Was huge in the 1920s and 30s
21:27Very, very art deco
21:29And here is a tiny little mark
21:32I'll tell you all my eyes are being tested today
21:34Which looks like £9.25 for American silver
21:39Ticket price, £25
21:41Do you know if I got that for, say, £12, £14
21:44Along with this?
21:48That can be a bit of a no-brainer
21:49And leave me enough for the next shop
21:51I'm going to go have a chat with the dealer
21:53And see what he thinks
21:54Over to Stephen
21:56Hello
21:57Hi Ruth
21:58So I found this little pin dish
22:01And the ring
22:03Now the pin dish is priced up at £12
22:06And then we've got this ring
22:09American sterling silver
22:11Priced up at £25
22:12I would love to buy the two
22:14And it comes to £37
22:15Could it be £20 for the pair?
22:19Do you know what?
22:19Since you're so nice
22:20Let's go £20
22:21You're an angel
22:22Done deal
22:23Well, that was all very amicable
22:26Wish me luck at the auction
22:27Good luck
22:28Bye-bye
22:28Leaving £40 for her last shop
22:31Fun's come out just in time
22:34Which brings us back to David
22:36With 97 still in hand
22:39Oh, that is right up my street
22:43Take a look at that face to your eyes
22:45Wowza
22:45So we've got this bronze
22:47Coppered bowl
22:49With a very rough cut edge
22:53Showing that it's all been done by hand
22:56Made in the early part of the 20th century
22:59I would guess
23:00In North Africa
23:01Can't quite work out what it was used for
23:04But look at the handles
23:05The handles are certainly not North African
23:09They are antique handles
23:11Put on the North African bowl
23:13Made in the early part of the 20th century
23:16That's interesting
23:17But it's not as interesting as the base
23:21It's a puzzle base
23:22Let me explain
23:23I'll take the bowl off
23:24That is carved from one piece of wood
23:27This is how it works
23:29Watch this
23:29That's why it's called a puzzle base
23:36The skill in that is remarkable
23:38Those dogs' heads are absolutely exquisite
23:42Made of mahogany
23:44£98
23:45I want desperately to buy this
23:48I think I might be naughty
23:51If I bought it
23:52Sell the bowl separately
23:53And then the base for a glass-topped coffee table
23:57Would be
23:59Fantastic
24:00Oh, he does love a coffee table
24:02Time to talk to Justin
24:04It's a North African table base
24:06That puzzle base
24:07Yes
24:07Priced at £98
24:09And tight on money
24:11What are you going to hit me with?
24:13£50
24:13Ooh
24:14You can squeeze me to £60
24:16£60 will do fine
24:17Thanks, Justin
24:18Great to see you as ever
24:21Cheers
24:21Thanks a lot
24:22Just in time, actually
24:24£37 still in hand
24:26Looks pleased, doesn't he?
24:28But it's time now to find out where Rue's got to
24:31In the county-downed destination of Dromore
24:35The town where ballet dancer Melissa Hamilton took her first steps
24:40And the dainty Tootsies of our expert are about to set foot in Wrath House Antiques
24:47And they'll definitely know she's arrived
24:51That's a welcome and a half
24:53Just £40 left to spend, remember?
24:59This is a very nice tazza
25:09Which is the Italian name for a dish like this
25:13Little stem, nice foot
25:15And you put your bonbons, your sweets, your jellies in there
25:18It's quite an elegant shape
25:20And this could be uranium glass
25:23Really popular in the 19th century
25:25Made with uranium
25:26So under UV light, it glows bright green
25:29But obviously, as time went on
25:32There wasn't as much uranium in these
25:34Let me have a look
25:35I think there's a torch here
25:36Let's see
25:39It's almost like magic, isn't it?
25:42Never fails to impress
25:44It's quite mesmerising
25:45And the thing is, it's very collectible
25:47No ticket, though
25:48Let's see what she sounds like
25:51That's a beautiful ring
25:55It also says that there's no cracks
25:58Hey, I'm starting to fall for this
26:00A tenner would be amazing
26:02But I'm not sure I'll be that lucky
26:04Well, she could always consult shopkeeper Kevin
26:08But meanwhile, back in Belfast
26:10Her road trip mucker
26:11Has just arrived at his last shop
26:14Oh
26:17Sounds impressed
26:19He has very little to boast about
26:22As far as the Harper wallet is concerned, however
26:24Just £37 remaining
26:26Perfect for the mini
26:28So there needs to be a bit of seeking
26:33At Belfast Antiques and Coins
26:35Oh
26:36Coins
26:37Coins, coins, coins
26:39Of course, I mean, you can go back thousands of years
26:41Roman Greek coins
26:43You can buy them for very little money
26:45£10, £20 for a good one
26:46Oh
26:47Now there is a worn-out coin
26:50Priced at £95
26:51Oh, just help yourself, David
26:54If you just move it around in the light
26:56You can see the face of our most wonderful
26:59Queen Elizabeth I
27:02And there she is
27:03She just kind of reveals herself in profile
27:06Turn the coin over
27:07Let's get a date
27:08So there's the Tudor coat of arms
27:11And there is the date
27:121562
27:15And this is a sixpence
27:18Made from silver
27:20Struck quite early in her 45-year reign
27:24It's an amazing thing
27:25£95
27:26But in mint condition
27:28It would be worth £2,000
27:32But that just puts a smile on my face
27:35That is a lovely, lovely thing
27:37He could just about afford half a sixpence
27:40What about Rue in Dromor?
27:43She's only a few pounds better off
27:45And has already taken a fancy
27:48To this unpriced uranium glass tatsa
27:50This is catching my eye
27:55First of all, the shape
27:57It is very Arabic
27:59It reminds me of the minarets
28:01You get on top of the mosques
28:03You get Arabian oud
28:05Pure flower musk
28:08And you would unscrew it
28:11Let me have a look at the bottom
28:13Oh, that's interesting
28:16This is silver
28:19Solid silver
28:20But it's gold in colour
28:21So this must be gold plate
28:24On silver
28:25And there's a tiny little A
28:27Meaning
28:28It's Aspreys of London
28:30That is decadent
28:32Oh
28:35That smells good
28:36Sure to be pricey as well though
28:38Kevin
28:39Okay Rue
28:41This is beautiful
28:42Yes
28:42Do you know anything about this?
28:44Because I have a feeling this is pretty special
28:47Well, that was actually presented
28:49By the Sultan of Oman
28:51To his guests
28:52At one of his parties
28:54So it was
28:55So every one of his guests
28:56Got a gold plate
28:57And silver
28:58Asprey
28:59Scent bottle
29:00No price on it
29:01Is it price on application?
29:03£300 would buy that
29:05Do you know that's worth it?
29:07Phony I had bigger pockets
29:08Only 260 short
29:11Maybe something not so spenny
29:14Well, to be fair
29:18Every antique dealer
29:19Has a magnifying glass
29:21We cannot survive
29:22In this business
29:24Without one of these
29:26Because you've got all these
29:27Little hallmarks to look up
29:29But I've never seen a set
29:31Of magnifying glasses before
29:32Only ever one
29:33But you've got
29:34One, two, three, four, five
29:35Six
29:36And as a lot to take to auction
29:39They're probably a good lot
29:41They don't have the value
29:43In terms of age
29:44They don't have the value
29:45In terms of material
29:46But people do buy magnifying glasses
29:50And not only that
29:52They're elegant
29:53Look at them
29:53They hark back to the old world
29:55No label to be glimpsed on those, however
29:59If it's a come-get-me price
30:00Then I could be tempted
30:02They don't have the gravitas I need
30:04But they might have the price
30:05So, may I have a choice?
30:08Oh, not again
30:10A good old toot-toot horn
30:12I do need to get a hold of Kevin
30:14I'll see if it works
30:15Oh!
30:18Kevin!
30:19That was quick
30:20I spotted a couple of things
30:22Your uranium glass Tatsa
30:24Yes
30:25Then there's the set of six magnifying glasses
30:28Yes
30:29No price on those
30:31So, how much is the Tatsa?
30:33I could do 25 for the Tatsa
30:3525
30:35I was thinking round about the 15 mark
30:38I could make in the middle at 20
30:41At 20
30:41And the magnifying glasses out of interest?
30:4415
30:44So, for the sake of £5
30:46It makes sense to go for the uranium glass
30:48£20 it is
30:49Got cold feet about those magnifiers
30:52With 20 left unspent
30:54Cheers to the winner
30:59But what about events in Belfast
31:02Where her chum is busily trying to find the best possible use
31:06For his last £37
31:08Sorry, Billy
31:10You won't be getting rich just yet
31:13Aye, aye
31:16I hope the surprise ticket is correct
31:19£35
31:22Very realistically done
31:24Grass snake, I think
31:26So, non-venomous
31:28So, nothing to worry about
31:29Hand painted
31:31He's heavy
31:31He's cold
31:32He's bronze
31:34All of which means
31:35Literally painted on top of the cast bronze
31:39And then not finished
31:41So, layers and layers of paint built up on top of bronze
31:46And I absolutely recognised this model by Bergman
31:53A Viennese foundry which produced such items in the early 20th century
31:58But it's only £35
32:01Which tells me there's a bit of a problem going on here
32:05And I'm going to search for the crucial B
32:10And I'm going to search for the crucial B
32:10The mark of Bergman
32:12And it is not there
32:14So, haha
32:15Although I've got to tell you that not every single piece of Franz Bergman bronze was marked
32:23So, there is a chance that it is a Bergman
32:29A slither of a chance
32:31Bergman would be several hundreds of pounds
32:36This one, even just looking a bit like a Bergman
32:39And it's got to be worth substantially more than £35
32:42Hmm
32:44I have a feeling he's going to auction
32:46Not a shadow of a doubt
32:48Billy, what about a nice Northern Ireland snake?
32:51Look at that, isn't he gorgeous?
32:53The place is entirely free of real ones, of course
32:55Good thing, £35
32:57Will 30 buy him?
33:00Yes
33:01Yes, fair enough
33:02Billy, you're a top man
33:04The snake is sold
33:07I'll see you again
33:08Yes
33:08All right
33:09Don't leave her too long
33:10I won't
33:10And with £7 left over, his buying's all done
33:15I've got a very good feeling about this one
33:18He's currently my favourite
33:20So, the next auction is fast approaching
33:24And they'll have to hop on a ferry and say goodbye to Northern Ireland soon
33:28But in the meanwhile, who's feeling peckish?
33:32Have you ever had a curry sandwich?
33:34I've never had a curry sandwich
33:36Phenomenal
33:37I imagine if you made a curry sandwich
33:39It would be delicious
33:40Sounds very nice
33:43Then, shut eye
33:45Thank you
33:46Back to Bristol
33:49Which, just like Rome, is built on seven hills
33:53After thoroughly exploring Ulster
33:56Whilst also doing an awful lot of shopping
33:58They've once again travelled east towards the west country
34:02At auctioneer, I mean Hanham
34:04Selling on the net on the phone and in the room
34:06With auctioneer Rob Dunnigan on the podium
34:09Are we done now at 80 then?
34:11Screen's gone quiet
34:12Fair warning
34:13Can you believe we were paying ourselves through this again?
34:17I know
34:17Why do we do it?
34:19Good luck, my friend
34:20Thank you
34:21All very harmonious at the moment
34:24David spent £193 on six auction lots
34:27Because he's selling his bowl and his stand separately
34:31What does Rob reckon on?
34:32I really like the cold painted snake
34:34It's in Franz Bergman style
34:36And it should do well
34:38Even though it's got no maker's marks to it
34:40Rue parted with a bit less
34:42180 for her five plots
34:44I really like the Japanese vases
34:47Just because they've got good colourway
34:48Nice, vibrant colour
34:49And a lot of interest as well
34:51So it should do quite well on the hammer today
34:53Well, there's certainly a mighty crowd in here
34:55Which should encourage our sellers
34:58I think you're going to perform a bit better this time
35:01Do you know my worry with you, David?
35:03You always buy one thing that just whoosh soars
35:06You think so?
35:07Yes
35:07I know you're confident
35:09I love what I bought
35:10You love what you bought?
35:11Let's see what happens
35:12David gets us underway with his watch stand
35:16I paid a lot of money for this room
35:17Listen, there's a big bronze market out there
35:19You can't lose money, can it?
35:21Yes
35:21No
35:22£15 on the books
35:23Do I see an advance at all?
35:25Commission bidder gone
35:25£18 now we have
35:27Show me £20 only then
35:28You're creeping up
35:29Creeping up
35:29We'll take it till next Tuesday
35:30Creeping up slowly at £20
35:32Fair warning if we're done
35:33That's a big loss
35:36Perhaps he's got the bad news out of the way then
35:39Fingers crossed
35:40Listen, I've had worse
35:41Well, it's so high, but still, it doesn't help
35:44Rue's turn now
35:45Her much-desired pulse screen
35:47I absolutely love this
35:50This is exquisite
35:51Commission interest allows me to go in at £30
35:53Do you know, Rue, it should be worth £500
35:56That's how good these things are
35:58You need to see the size of this
35:58£55 now we're up to
36:00£65
36:01£75
36:02Top of the bid's at £80 now
36:04Go on
36:05£55
36:05It keeps on climbing
36:06Asking £90
36:07£85
36:08I'm with you
36:09Big time on this
36:10£85, fair warning
36:11Well, you know
36:14I don't know what to say about that
36:17Because years ago it would have been £500
36:19And it should be £500 worth
36:21But it's not
36:22Still a profit though
36:23Good for you for buying it, Rue
36:25David's decorative brass letter opener now
36:28It's a good collector's thing
36:30And I have a soft spot for brass
36:32You do
36:33Give me the brass, give me the copper
36:34Absolutely
36:35I can go in at £15
36:37I thought he was going to say £60
36:39I've still got £20 with me
36:41£22 now
36:42£22 now is the top
36:44As long as it meant a bit
36:45I'd be OK
36:46Well, we're all done at £22 already
36:48Fair warning
36:49£25 now
36:49Thank you
36:50I've got £8 here
36:51Would you like £30?
36:52Go on
36:53£30 out of my room bidder
36:55If we're all done at £30
36:57Fair warning
36:58Well done
37:00Well
37:00Well, well done
37:02Not really
37:02What was the problem?
37:03£2 quid
37:04Yeah, he does have a point
37:05It's a profit
37:07It's not an embarrassment anyway
37:08Tatter time
37:10Rue's radioactive offering
37:12See when you put that UV light on it
37:14The glow
37:15It just glows my heart
37:17Commission interest allows me to go straight in at £15
37:20OK
37:21£20
37:21It takes it straight in my commission bidder
37:23Come on
37:24Go on, Rue
37:24£22 now we're up to
37:25£28 now we're up to
37:26Show me the £30 then
37:27£35 now
37:29£40 is what we need
37:30Fair warning then at £35
37:32That's well done you
37:35Well done you
37:35Yeah, that's a profit, all right
37:38Next up
37:39David's wooden legs
37:40Budding coffee table creme
37:42Creators take note
37:43So I bought one thing and I've split it
37:46So I've got a North African puzzle table
37:49With a bowl
37:50But I'm selling them separately
37:51This is a risky tactic which could really pay off
37:54Commission interest allows me to go in at £10
37:57Oh
37:58I was getting a bit excited now
38:00£10 we have
38:01Come on
38:02I need some interior designers
38:04We're all done already
38:05£12 now we have
38:06Takes the commission bidder out
38:08£15 now asking
38:09Fair warning then
38:10OK
38:12It's not working so well at the moment
38:14In it for the long haul eh
38:16I've got faith in you David
38:17I'm losing faith in myself
38:19I know what you are capable of
38:21Part two
38:23Let's hope that does better
38:25Well it needs to make quite a lot of money this doesn't it
38:27Commission interest allows me to go straight in at £15
38:29£15
38:30£18 now
38:31£20 we're up to

38:39Screen's gone quiet
38:40Fair warning
38:41£22 that's terrible
38:44At least it was better than the legs
38:47That was a bad move on my behalf
38:49A very bad move on my behalf
38:51Rue's dressing table pot
38:53Got a hole in the middle so that when a lady was combing her hair back in 1925
38:59All the loose hair would go inside
39:01Oh attractive
39:02So NT's bid thank you very much
39:04Asking two now
39:05Five
39:05Eight we have at the top of their bids
39:0730 now it's just taking it

39:25His penultimate lot
39:27I love this thing
39:28It's got a lovely warm patination to it
39:31It's very stylish
39:32I like it
39:34You should double your money on this
39:37Any interest at £30
39:38Very unusual piece this one
39:39Any interest at £15 then

40:09His fortunes have taken a turn for the better
40:11That was a really nice looking thing
40:13Rue's silver trinket dish
40:15And silver ring is next
40:17I bought these two because of the price

40:30Stuck at £40 now
40:31So I see any advance at all at £45
40:33Fair warning
40:34Come on one more
40:35It's double bubble
40:36Congratulations
40:37Well done
40:38Thank you
40:38Another shrewd move by Rue

40:49Is his last chance to win
40:50Hold on to your seat for this
40:53Oh David
40:54Bergman bronze

41:25Snake eyes
41:26Boom boom

42:02A fabulous profit
42:04Which ensures
42:05Rue is our winner today
42:07Sometimes you go with
42:08Your gut instinct
