00:00Hi, I'm Jake Anastas, and I'm an electrical technician here at Sydney Airport.

00:04I've been here almost six years now, and that's my dad.

00:08Hi, I'm Parson Anastas, and I work at Baggage as mechanical technician here at Sydney Airport.

00:14I've been here for around ten years, and that's my son.

00:18We're both very fortunate that we work on the same shift pattern, albeit different departments,

00:24which is sometimes handy.

00:25We drive up from Wollongong together, which at times can be quite interesting,

00:30but I don't think I'd have it any other way.

00:33I love working at Sydney Airport, mostly because of the people I work with.

00:37The crew that I'm a part of make the day sometimes quite challenging,

00:42but at the end of the day, it's always rewarding.

00:44Oh, I love it because the people I work with, and the shift pattern is really good,

00:50and I enjoy meeting people as well.

00:53For me, working with Dad, it's been a really proud moment for me, in a sense,

00:59because I've seen him go from being a trades assistant

01:02to having the support here at Sydney to actually go on and get his trade certificate.

01:06Everywhere I go, I meet different people, and they find out my surname,

01:11and they find out that Jake's my son.

01:12They speak highly of him, and it makes me so proud that he works here,

01:17and he's enjoying it.
