Official launch of the One Nation party branch in Wagga
Transcript
00:00Democracy is fragile, but it needs active participation.
00:04I want to thank everyone who's here.
00:06One Nation gatherings are sometimes a bit fiery
00:09because we have free-thinking, independent people
00:12who express what they think and what they feel.
00:15And that's exactly what a democracy needs.
00:18The one thing I want everyone to remember is that
00:21we, the people, are responsible for the government.
00:26The government we have and for holding it accountable,
00:32making it work for us.
00:34This matters because it's the key to restoring our country,
00:37our lifestyle and our standard of living, which are falling.
00:41The second thing I want everyone to remember is that
00:45true democracy, true democracy, not the sham we have,
00:48requires active participation, active people
00:52and returning government to work for Australia first.
00:55Isn't that what you want?
00:57That's basic. It's what Pauline's wanted for many, many years.
01:01I've come back to love, care and reason and why I'm pro-human
01:05and why it's important.
01:07We were talking, well, Paul was talking about the carbon dioxide tax
01:12and the climate scam, the climate fraud,
01:14and make no mistake, it is fraud.
01:16The energy scam, it is fraud.
01:19Once upon a time, we trust them.
01:21We can't trust them now. This is the whole problem.
01:23Since the 1970s, so yes, 50 plus years,
01:27we've been disconnected from the political discourse.
01:30And this has been an intentional act by the major political parties.
01:33They've been treating us as mushrooms and keep us over here
01:37because they don't want us knowing what's really going on.
01:40So they've kept us silent.
01:42And they've done this so that they get control of things.
01:46And we, the people, end up serving them.
01:49And that's not how a democracy is meant to work.
01:52An economy is not meant to work that way.
01:54An economy is meant to work for the people, not the other way around.
01:58And I look around this room, and I see some familiar faces,
02:02but I see an awful lot of faces.
02:03I have no idea who they are.
02:05So you've come from all walks of life, which is outstanding.
02:09Because again, that's what a democracy is about.
02:11You're meant to hold your political leaders,
02:15your political representatives to account.
02:17You're meant to hold your political account.
