00:00More than 1,000 flights canceled on day two of the mandated flight slowdown.

00:06I'm hoping that the government can take care of it.

00:10I mean, we put all our eggs in this basket.

00:14It's the only way that we can travel abroad.

00:17So I'm hoping that we can figure it out and make it work for everybody.

00:22Travelers around the nation hope the shutdown comes to an end very soon.

00:25The FFA reports reductions impacting commercial airlines start at 4% of flights at 40 targeted airports.

00:32That percentage will rise on Tuesday.

00:34By Friday, if there's still no deal, the number hits 10%.

00:37Some travelers felt the risk of cancellation doesn't outweigh the need to see family.

00:42We have plans. We make plans based on the flights that we buy.

00:46So it worries me that maybe we can miss a flight and lose our jobs.

00:51But I also do want to go see my family.

00:53So, I mean, I'm going to take the risk, I guess.

00:57Other travelers worry about the stress level.

00:59I mean, travel is stressful enough and then you put these disruptions in place

01:03and it really makes everything more challenging.

01:05It is important to note that not all of the cancellations are due to the FAA order.
