00:00So I had a flight this morning

00:298.05 on Air Canada. I was in Connecticut. I take an Uber to get here

00:34in time. When I'm in the Uber, all of a sudden they canceled my

00:37flight. So it says you were rebooked. So I'm in the Uber

00:41and I'm like, oh, okay, great. I'm rebooked for an hour earlier. So I'm panicking

00:45will I even make it to Newark and catch the flight? 7.05 now was the

00:49flight. So I say to the Uber guy, I'm like, we got to go fast.

00:54Then all of a sudden I pull up the whole itinerary. Are you ready for this?

00:57They rebooked me at a JFK an hour earlier

01:01with an 11-hour layover in some place

01:05called Port of Spain. Crazy, crazy. So of course I can't take that

01:09flight. Wouldn't get in until tomorrow morning

01:12and I was only going away for the weekend for two days. So we don't end there, right?

01:17So I'm calm. I'm calm. I'm a surgeon. I'm used to chaos. You have to just think

01:21logically. So I'm like, okay, I talked to a few people here. They're saying, if I were

01:25you, I would not travel over the next three days. It's going to get worse. TSA

01:29said that to me and the airline counters said it like unofficially. They can't,

01:33right? But they gave me their take. So I'm like, okay, I'll go get a rental car

01:37because I have a Connecticut license and the flight was canceled. They won't rent

01:42me a car. Guess what I have to do? I'm going to U-Haul and I'm going to drive a

01:47truck across country to get back to Utah because I have to be back by Tuesday.

02:04I am currently booked on a one o'clock flight from Newark, New Jersey to Jacksonville, Florida.

02:10Of course, it's 930 in the morning and I'm here out of fear that my flight could be canceled.

02:17And if so, I know there is an alternate flight that leaves from Philadelphia going to Jacksonville,

02:25Florida at roughly 4 p.m. So I would have time to hop on the train, which we know is not impacted

02:31by the issues that are going on. But I'm very fortunate. I've learned weekly how to track my

02:39own travel. I just found out that my plane left Tampa, Florida, coming to Newark, New Jersey on time.

02:46So my plane is going to be here. So hopefully I will be able to leave from here and not have to go to

02:53Philadelphia.
