00:41hutzel and cahill co-starred in the delta delta delta sketches with siobhan fallon cahill popped up in the

00:48bill swersky superfan sketches as denise bob's daughter we're real proud of you thanks denise

00:56just a few more minutes before the bears start kicking some ass huh some girl i got it girl

01:02scat spunk only lasting a season on snl cahill hasn't had many on-screen credits since cahill did

01:09return to snl once in 1999 albeit for a voiceover role as heraldo's assistant in the tv funhouse sketch

01:29cahill also balanced comedy with a second career as a fashion designer anne brisley season six was the

01:36first without lawn michaels marking one of the darkest chapters in snl history after only 12 episodes

03:07only played 42 seconds you made three big mistakes okay i gotta take the hit on that one yeah i'd like

03:14to hit you such a kidder both were upgraded to repertory players for their third season although

03:22thompson's career took off while mitchell ironically appeared in even fewer sketches that year budget

03:28issues led to mitchell's subsequent exit this is destrippination up in here post snl mitchell

03:34found work in films like who's your caddy and shows like disney channel's ant farm mitchell returned to

03:40stand up and hosted the understand this podcast but his on-screen roles have been few and far between

03:53it's our day nora dunn surviving the infamous 11th season nora dunn had a solid five-year run on snl

04:03impersonating celebrities like ann landers and gene dixon uh what about rumors of a baby for the happy

04:18felicity will have a child she also breathed life into original characters such as french sex worker

04:24babette and talk show host pat stevens unfortunately dunn is remembered less for her versatile work on snl

04:32and more for how she left things you know i am going to emphasize two things to you once again

04:39keep the knees in a locked position and read a book when it was announced that controversial comedian

04:45andrew dice clay would host in season 15 dunn refused to participate in the episode few stood

04:52by dunn whose snl tenure ended shortly after while done had guest spots on shows like the nanny and

04:58cameos in movies like pineapple express we can't help but wonder if the dice man incident prevented her

05:24their snl legacy is cemented gail matthias's time behind the desk has gone overlooked for two reasons

05:31one she only co-anchored six segments with charles rocket two she joined during the ill-fated sixth season

05:38meaning her time on snl wouldn't last long i told her she can only get pregnant if she um like goes

05:44all the way and stuff uh or if um like she swims in a pool with guys or um yeah or like if she sits

05:53in a chair when they've just gotten up following a series of bit parts in live action projects

05:59matthias became better known for her voiceover work as shirley the loon in tiny toon adventures

06:05and martha generic in bobby's world lucky last week you told me channeling was new age nonsense

06:11it's a term of endearment oh please you gotta help me get invisible plucky your whining is stressing

06:20out my aura to the max you lunch meat while you undoubtedly heard matthias's voice in the 90s she

06:27vanished from tv in the early 2000s it wasn't until 2017 that matthias got back in front of the camera

06:34she remains involved in improv and sings with the shambles la rock band do you want to know what

06:39comes between me and my clovens my brains jim brewer hey remember goat boy i think he should be protected

06:49because if he had to enter every lawsuit that that came his way then he wouldn't have time to govern the

06:55country he was part goat part human and a relic of all things 80s presented through a nostalgic 90s lens

07:06jim brewer played goat boy in addition to other recurring characters like heavy metal guy

07:12he was perhaps best known for his impression of joe pesci but brewer wasn't the happiest camper during

07:29his three seasons on snl what bothers me about that is that's great for you what about cousin vinnie over

07:35here you know all the academy gave me was a swift kick to my goodfellas over here leaving in 1998 it

07:42seemed big things might be on the horizon for brewer who co-starred in the comedy half-baked while that

07:48film gained a cult following it's still brewer's most high profile role aside from his stand-up brewer

07:54has primarily made headlines in recent years for his anti-vaccine stance and stories detailing why

08:00snl isn't a dream job for everyone

08:07victoria jackson already fairly well known for her contributions to the tonight show starring johnny

08:13carson victoria jackson joined snl in 1986. i'm getting a divorce from my husband i know and he's a

08:20a fire eater yeah and um so yeah and you wrote a poem about it isn't it i wrote a poem it's called

08:26alimony that's right and i bet you're i bet you're gonna stand on your head too is that it

08:30she was a frequent presence on weekend update serving as a correspondent you think you can label

08:37me but don't you dare cause i am not a bimbo this provided jackson with a platform to showcase her

08:47unique talents like performing poetry while impersonating a table jackson had a modest film

08:53career but her star began to fade after leaving snl in 1992. by the 2000s comedy had taken a back

09:01seat with jackson primarily using her position to promote her christian and conservative beliefs

09:07so i stayed home with her and i discovered amazing as it may sound that my daughter when fed cheerios

09:14can predict the future while jackson still found acting work her contentious comments on the lgbtqia

09:21plus community and abortion likely limited her options since her breast cancer diagnosis in 2015

09:28jackson faced additional health issues sherry o terry sherry o terry was one of several new

09:35hires who helped breathe new life into snl during the mid-90s between playing one half of the spartan

09:51cheerleaders and nadine the simmer down lady a terry was always a source of unhinged energy throughout her

09:58five seasons months after leaving snl in 2000 a terry had a funny supporting role in scary movie

10:14suggesting that we'd be seeing a lot more of her in the years to come a terry's career has been largely

10:20restricted to small roles in live action and animation however for someone who was such a

10:26scene stealer during her snl days a terry simply hasn't been given many roles to steal as of late

10:33even when she has the material hasn't always been there on paper we can make our own sandwich

10:39with us with us is the bun and you as the hot dog chris katan auditioning around the same time as a

10:46terry chris katan was another snl breakout who seemed destined for superstardom in addition to live

10:52wire characters like mango and mr peepers katan stood out as one of the roxbury guys co-starring

10:58with will ferrell in a feature

11:08where ferrell's film career skyrocketed katan had back-to-back misfires with monkey bone and corky

11:14romano not destined for the silver screen many questioned what katan would do after he left snl in

11:212003. aside from a recurring role in the middle not march sadly katan also had a stint on dancing

11:28with the stars where his history of neck issues came to light then there was this scene from nope

11:34reminding us that katan really was a force on snl and it's it's katan he's just crushing it he is a force

12:50walk-on roles in movies like the santa claus a recurring role in sabrina the teenage witch and

12:56various voiceover roles gross was last seen in a 2012 episode of raising hope missing from the screen for

13:03more than a decade gross is presumably retired in any case she's off the map you think you can just

13:10vanish off the face of the earth and then just come waltzing in here 20 minutes later
