00:00Yaddy, yaddy, yaddy! Sign the bottom.
00:04Get it! Okay, give me five!
00:08Okay, maybe you've never signed a contract with a six-foot talking cat,
00:12but you do have a signature that says a lot more about you than you think.
00:19Fast Company explains how researchers found a significant correlation between how large
00:25someone writes their signature and their level of confidence or narcissism.
00:30They point to President Trump's signature as an example, famously large and distinctly his own.
00:36Actually, I love my signature. I really do. Everyone loves my signature.
00:40Researchers found signature size grows with both age and professional rank,
00:46suggesting it reflects a person's sense of self or status. The author of the Fast Company article,
00:52a long-time psychologist, calls it status awareness, meaning people in higher positions
00:57tend to show it even in how they sign their name. Take a look at these signatures from Bill Gates
01:03and Tim Cook because the connection shows up in corporate leadership too. Studies of CEOs and CFOs
01:10found signature size can help predict certain personality traits, including confidence and
01:15sometimes narcissism. Signs of people also broke down what your signature style might say about you.
01:21If yours ascends or rises toward the end, it's a sign of optimism, while a descending signature can
01:28suggest the opposite. If your signature stays straight, even on a blank page, it's a sign of
01:33balance and control. And legibility, if your signature is easy to read, it suggests straightforwardness,
01:40while a messy, hard-to-read one can signal a more private or guarded personality.
01:46So, if your autograph looks like it belongs on a multi-million dollar contract, but your career
01:51hasn't caught up yet, don't worry, at least the confidence is there. For more on this story and
