00:00Senate Republicans have rejected a Democrat offer to reopen the government
00:04as the longest government shutdown in U.S. history nears the 40-day mark.
00:09Senate Democratic Leader Chuck Schumer made the offer to end the shutdown

00:16But Senate Majority Leader John Toon quickly swatted down the offer, calling it a non-stop.
