00:00Former Sabah DAP Chairman Frankie Poon, who resigned from the party last month, has confirmed

00:06that he will be joining Parti Kesejahteraan Democratic Masyarakat.

00:11He said he would submit his membership application at an event at SMJK Tionghoa in Sandakan tomorrow

00:17and also confirmed that former Sabah DAP Secretary Liao Fui Fui will be joining KDM with him.

00:24Poon and Liao quit DAP last month, claiming that the state chapter's current leadership

00:28favored younger members and sidelined veterans despite their contributions over the years.

00:34On Thursday, Sabah DAP denied suffering from a mass exodus of members following Poon's exit.

00:40State DAP Secretary Vivian Wong said such claims were aimed at giving the public a false perception

00:45of the party, adding that no divisions were dissolved after Poon's departure.

00:50Wong also denied that Poon and Liao had been sidelined by the party, pointing out that both

00:54were given posts in GLCs on Sabah DAP's recommendation, while Liao was fielded to contest the Batu Sabi

01:00parliamentary seat during the 2022 general election.
