A man in Florida walked into a bar and got into a heated argument about how many eggs chickens can lay ... and then he grabbed a gun and opened fire ... and no, this isn't a joke.

00:01In the criminal justice system, arguments about poultry are considered particularly ridiculous.

00:06The detectives who investigate these incidents are known as the Special Chickens Unit.

00:14A man in Florida got into altercation with some men outside of a bar.

00:18Not just any Florida man, 44-year-old Peter Riera, who raises chickens and also looks exactly like a guy who raises chickens.

00:27And yes, they were drinking.

00:28There was a conversation about how many, I kid you not, how many eggs a chicken can lay.

00:34We've all been there, pretty much every Thanksgiving argument, are we right?

00:38But for the record, chickens can lay at most one egg a day.

00:42It takes about 22 to 26 hours to form an egg.

00:44What if they get constipated?

00:46It doesn't come out their butt.

00:47I don't think I know how eggs work.

00:49Not many people do.

00:50But one of the three men tried to explain why Chicken Man got so mad.

00:54Me and my friend were like, oh, hire us as helpers.

00:56Like, and that's when I started asking them questions about the eggs, because I wanted, like, a better understanding.

01:02Time just looks at me and he's like, you're trying to con me.

01:04And that's when things got a little weird.

01:06And so then the guy goes into the bar, brings his gun, and fires off four rounds.

01:13Well, fortunately, no one was shot, but the police were called.

01:19The guy who fired the gun is being held without bond as he faces charges, and two of the people

01:24he allegedly shot at ended up getting arrested during the police response.
