00:00Morning. Something a bit brighter for most of us this Saturday. We should see quite a bit of autumn sunshine on offer.
00:06It's been a very mild week and not quite as warm today, but temperatures will still be above average by this afternoon.
00:12Now it is a bit of a grey start, certainly across much of Scotland and eastern England.
00:16Some rain and drizzle in places, but that is all heading away.
00:19Still the odd shower coming into western Scotland. It may stay fairly grey in Shetland.
00:24One or two scattered showers through the day, of course, West Wales, maybe southwest England.
00:29And later on, the cloud will thicken and some rain will trickle back into Northern Ireland.
00:34But for a good part of the country, most of the day dry, bright and with some autumn sunshine as well.
00:40As I mentioned, it's not as warm as it has been, but temperatures will still be above average for most getting into the teens.
00:4715, 16 Celsius with a bit of sunshine here and there. Light winds, that's going to feel pretty pleasant.
00:52The breeze, though, will be picking up a little bit around western coasts, in particular as this zone of rain then comes in through the evening across Northern Ireland, then into western parts of Scotland.
01:03For most of England and Wales, if you're heading out tonight, it should be dry, it should be fine and still relatively mild.
01:09Later in the night, though, the rain may well pep up across Northern Ireland.
01:12We'll start to see some of that rain edging into parts of Wales, southwest Wales in particular, and the far southwest of England.
01:18But much of the Midlands and eastern England will stay dry, and as the winds stay light here, it may well turn a bit misty, one or two fog patches, and it'll certainly turn quite a bit chillier than recent nights.
01:30Now, there's nothing particularly cold about these numbers.
01:34Seven, eight degrees in towns and cities, a little lower in rural spots, but that is quite a bit chillier than many a night of late.
01:41In the west, though, temperatures, with that increasing cloud and breeze, are still likely to stay in double figures.
01:47It does make for a bit of a grey start across Northern Ireland, West Wales, and western Scotland.
01:52Much of eastern England will either start with some fog or with some sunshine.
01:57Now, there is a bit of a question mark about the timing of this rain band as it comes through.
02:01It's going to have little waves, little ripples upon it, which are going to slow it down.
02:04So the rain may get stuck over parts of southwest England, Wales, and maybe the Midlands, making for a soggy afternoon here.
02:11But that zone of rain could be further east, it could be further west.
02:14The rain should edge away from parts of Scotland, so brightening up here and Northern Ireland.
02:19And much of the southeastern corner will probably stay dry, just with increasing amounts of cloud.
02:24Still pretty mild.
02:25Again, not as warm as it has been for most of this week, but these numbers are still a little bit above the average for the time of year.
02:32So staying mild.
02:33But it will be a wet Sunday for some.
02:36Just depends on the position of that weather front.
