Defence Force won the battle but still lost the war yesterday in the Concacaf Caribbean Cup.

The Army men defeat Mt Pleasant 1-0 in Jamaica in the second leg, but bowed out 5-2 on aggregate.

And the defending TTPFL champs still have a lot to play for in the upcoming third place battle.

00:00It was always going to be a tough task for Defence Force to overcome their 5-1 first leg defeat to Mount Pleasant, more so on Jamaican soil.
00:09Despite this, Devon Jostling's intention was to give it a genuine shot.
00:12We know it was difficult, but as we know in football anything is possible, I think we started the game really well.
00:19We scored first, and I think anything was possible from there.
00:24We had some close chances in the first half, and had one of those chances, moving into that game of the year.
00:32But it didn't materialise, credit to Mount Pleasant.
00:36As I said, we had a bad day at the office in Jumland, and this is the Defence Force.
00:44I know, I told the Trader and Tobago, and I'm so proud of the guys, disappointed, yes, but I'm proud of the response of the guys.
00:52But there is still a lot for the TTPFL champions to fight for, as a third-place finish will guarantee qualification to the CONCACAF Champions Cup.
01:01I think that I like this game was so important.
01:03You know, sometimes when you have obstacles, you know, guys tend to doubt themselves.
01:10So coming to play the knife against Mount Pleasant, playing the strongest possible 11, and showing that we can match them and beat them,
01:17it will do a lot for us going into the third-place player.
01:20This, though, was just another chapter in the Jamaica vs. TNT rivalry, as there is an even bigger one to come when the two countries clash later this month in World Cup qualification.
01:32And Jostling had that match in mind with his management of skipper, Kevin Molino.
01:37Kevin playing back home and being the captain of Trader and Tobago, that says everything, right?
01:43He's one of a kind. He's magic for us, right?
01:46And the reason for me taking him off tonight is looking forward to that game against Jamaica, which is a must-win game for our country.
01:55So that was the reasoning for taking him off.
01:57But Kevin Molino is Kevin Molino.
01:59That is our message.
