00:00and Auburn taking on Vanderbilt in Nashville.
00:03It's on the road, and this game's inside of a touchdown
00:06and trying to figure this out for what's going on there
00:09with the Auburn Tigers, and I know Vanderbilt lost last week,
00:12but still in a pretty good spot, and you still have playoff hopes alive.
00:16Listen, that was a tough spot for Vandy last week, as we discussed.
00:19Depending on when you bet that number, if you bet that number,
00:22the doors might have even came through the back door to cover
00:25the three-and-a-half-point dog in Austin.
00:28A really tough beat if you laid a bad number on Texas.
00:31It's why you always have to do things early.
00:33Vandy is still a really good football team.
00:35As we have said, Vanderbilt is going to give you some chunk yardage.
00:39Vanderbilt is going to allow some points to be scored.
00:41We saw Archmanning in Texas take advantage of that in the opening half
00:44on Saturday in Austin.
00:46Again, a tough spot for the Commodores that, although they are on the Ascension
00:50as a program, they were playing three consecutive weeks
00:52against three straight-ranked foes.
00:54Texas back at home for the first time since late September.
00:57Vandy is still a really good football team.
00:59But guys, if you were to take off Hugh Freeze and maybe the Auburn name right now
01:04and look at some of the numbers the Tigers have put up each of the previous two seasons,
01:08you would also think Auburn is a really good football team
01:10in terms of how they can move the football.
01:13Offensively, this year has struggled to put points on the board,
01:16but even defensively, limiting yards per play for their opponents.
01:20There's a lot to be said when you have these fired head coaches
01:23not matching the expectation at these premier programs,
01:26but the talent on the roster is still there.
01:29And we have seen the interim bump be incredibly productive this year.
01:33In the first game following a firing, because Florida covered last week
01:37in the cocktail party in Jacksonville against UGA,
01:40the team in their first game following the dismissal of a permanent head coach,
01:44now 7-2 against the number.
01:47So, maybe there is something to be said.
01:50But Auburn is not a fired football coach and an 11-and-a-half-point underdog
01:54against a ranked foe in the SEC.
01:56This game is within a touchdown.
01:58I think a lot of the metrics say Auburn can keep it in this football game.
02:01The key, as it always will be for Vandy, is what does the ground game look like?
02:05We saw Texas last week stifle everything Diego Pavia
02:08and Vanderbilt wanted to do on the ground.
02:10It's still how they construct their offense.
02:12They don't want Pavia to be an air-and-out type quarterback.
02:15Auburn is really good up front.
02:16Can they contain Vandy and keep this game close?
02:19Again, I still think Vanderbilt is a better football team.
02:21You're only asking them to win by a touchdown.
02:23But there's a lot to be said about how good Auburn really is,
02:26but how much they faltered under a head coach who cared more about his tee times
02:30than figuring out how to run the football.
02:31So, we'll see what happens on Saturday.
02:34Man, that's – and Auburn's one of those teams, like,
02:37there's only three teams that have given up 24 points or less.
02:40Ohio State, Indiana, Auburn.
02:42But they also can't score.
02:42They only scored three points versus Kentucky last week.
02:44Guess what?
02:45You know, War Eagle.
02:46War Eagle.
