00:00We raised, actually we cut national insurance towards the end of the election, but remember
00:05when we raised taxes, that was for COVID. We spent a lot of money paying people to stay
00:10at home. This is completely different. They put in their manifesto that they would not
00:14raise taxes for working people. They also, after they raised taxes last year, breaking
00:19the manifesto, then made a promise, Rachel Reeves made a promise saying I'm not coming
00:25back for more tax rises. So it is the fact that they clearly lied, they were dishonest
00:29with the public. Nobody voted for this. That's why it's wrong. What they need to do is what
00:34we've been asking for is cut spending. We have put alternative proposals about where they
00:39can cut spending without harming public services and get Britain working again.
