00:00Oh God, yes! Where did you get that?
00:03I have my sources. That'll be $85.
00:06Welcome to WatchMojo.
00:08And today, we're looking at 10 times South Park unknowingly predicted something long before it came true.
00:14You know the saying, life imitates art or something.
00:18Hey, fellas!
00:20Boy, this is neato, huh?
00:25Butters, what the hell are you doing?
00:27Number 10. The Coney Island Hot Dog Sale.
00:31This is the historic Aspen Park Hot Dog.
00:34200 square feet of pure luxury. Let's check it out.
00:38One of the most bizarre circumstances Cartman has found himself in occurred in South Park's 25th season.
00:44Having failed to find more work and thus unable to afford their home,
00:47Cartman and his mom find themselves living in a parodied version of the Coney Island Hot Dog Shack.
00:52We've got running water, a couch to sleep on, and most important, we have each other.
00:58It wasn't long before this plot in the episode became somewhat of a reality.
01:05The Coney Island Boardwalk Hot Dog Stand in Denver, Colorado was put up for sale in May 2022,
01:11three whole months after the City People episode aired.
01:15At the time of this video, it has yet to be sold and remains vacant.
01:19I think it's cool we live in a hot dog.
01:22Number 9. The Making of Legendary Cinema.
01:26When's this thing start? I hope there's some good previews.
01:28Stan, film festival movies don't usually have previews before then.
01:31They what?
01:31This might be one of the more famous or infamous examples of South Park accidentally predicting things.
01:37The episode features a scene where Stan and Wendy go to see a movie featuring two cowboys who become lovers.
01:43As simple as it is, the plot in the movie is very similar to the 1997 short story Brokeback Mountain,
01:58which would receive a film adaptation seven years after this episode first aired.
02:02The only difference between the 2005 movie and the South Park version as well,
02:07we don't remember any scenes where Heath Ledger and Jake Gyllenhaal are eating bowls of pudding.
02:12There's nobody's business but ours.
02:13Number 8. Criminal Pocket Monsters.
02:16I tell you, those Japanese really know how to market to kids.
02:19I've got to collect all Chimpokamon. I've got to collect them all so I can become Royal Crown Chimpokomaster.
02:23In this episode, South Park satirizes the overblown panic parents had over the real-world Pokemon franchise
02:29exploding in popularity among kids.
02:32While the kids are all obsessing over collecting all of the Chimpokamon,
02:36the company manufacturing the monsters is secretly using them to brainwash them.
02:41Hey, I'm going to take your Roostor and put it in this bag where it will flourish or expire depending on fate.
02:46There had never been an incident similar to this at the time,
02:49but there were some raising concerns when Pokemon Go launched in 2016.
02:54Because the app relied on users' locations to function,
02:57authorities began warning players about the dangers of trespassing,
03:00abduction, and human trafficking.
03:03Damn it, this is not Japan!
03:07Number 7. The Death of Osama Bin Laden.
03:12Ever seen someone predict something twice before it ever happens?
03:23It wasn't that South Park called out Osama Bin Laden dying.
03:26Everyone dies eventually.
03:28How he died is a different story.
03:32Both episodes, Osama Bin Laden has farty pants,
03:36and it's a Jersey thing,
03:38depict Bin Laden dying from a shot fired by an American soldier.
03:42Well,
03:42May 2nd, 2011,
03:44marked the death of Osama Bin Laden,
03:46who had been shot by U.S. Navy SEALs during a raid of his hideout in Pakistan.
03:50Sure, South Park didn't get every detail right,
03:53but to show the U.S. finally finding Bin Laden
03:56and taking him down twice,
03:58it's enough to make some folks believe Trey Parker and Matt Stone are psychic.
04:01And we owe it all to Osama Bin Laden.
04:11Number 6. Predicting a Skyscraper.
04:14We are getting reports now that Japan is building their own ladder to heaven
04:17to compete with the U.S.ases.
04:19Let's go live to SNN correspondent Nobu Hira Sabasuguro.
04:22While the boys are building a ladder to reach Kenyan heaven,
04:25Japan announces that they have begun their own ladder
04:28to reach the great afterlife in the sky
04:30before a bunch of American kids do.
04:32They succeed rather quickly,
04:34though they are soon exposed to have faked the whole thing.
04:37That's the news of the frame of heaven.
04:41No! No! No! No! No!
04:43No! No!
04:44However, Japan did manage to build a tall observation tower in the real world.
04:49In 2008,
04:50six years after a ladder to heaven aired,
04:52Japan began construction on what would become the Tokyo Skytree.
04:56The tower finished construction in 2012
04:58and has since been deemed the third tallest structure on Earth,
05:02right behind the skyscrapers the Burj Khalifa and Merdeka 118.
05:06To stabilize the tower,
05:08engineers rely on fluid dampers
05:10developed during NASA's Apollo space program
05:13and from something closer to home.
05:16Number 5.
05:18The Poop Cruise.
05:19Dad, what are you doing?
05:20At first,
05:28this was just a passing jab at a major cruise line,
05:31but it was wild to see it become a reality years later.
05:34Creme Fresh opens with Randy and Sharon watching the news.
05:38The anchor stating,
05:39Passengers said the Carnival Cruise line smelled like poop,
05:43but that that was an improvement.
05:44Well,
05:45the world got a glimpse of that kind of incident
05:47three years after this episode aired.
05:49In 2013,
05:51a Carnival Triumph cruise was stranded in the Gulf of Mexico
05:54after the engine room caught fire.
05:56This caused the entire ship to lose power,
05:58which affected its sewage system,
06:00thus garnering the name
06:01The Poop Cruise.
06:02When Jen announces
06:04that it's going to be two or three more days,
06:07it's like,
06:08I don't know if I can hold it.
06:09Number 4.
06:10The KFC Black Market.
06:13Can I help you?
06:14I need,
06:14somebody said you could help me,
06:16I have to,
06:17I haven't had KFC in almost a week.
06:19In case you hadn't seen this one,
06:21Medicinal Fried Chicken centers on Cartman
06:23desperately trying to find some KFC,
06:26which soon escalates to him running a cartel
06:28supplying individuals with illegal KFC goods.
06:31We move over 16 tons of chicken every month.
06:35Of course,
06:36with the new laws in Colorado,
06:37my business has taken quite a hit.
06:39I'm worried other states might follow suit.
06:42Believe it or not,
06:43there was an incident similar to this
06:44that occurred in 2018.
06:46This was the year
06:47when the fried chicken chain
06:48saw a massive shortage in supply in the UK
06:51after some severe mismanagement
06:53in their logistics departments.
06:55It wasn't long
06:56before people began selling
06:57their own old orders from the chain
06:59at exorbitantly high prices.
07:02At least,
07:02we got some hilarious new buckets
07:04out of the disaster.
07:05I told you a long time ago,
07:07you f***ing little monkey,
07:09not to f*** me.
07:10Number 3,
07:11Jared Fogle's Crimes.
07:13He's still looking good.
07:16His name is Jared.
07:18His name is Jared,
07:20and he likes to eat the sandwiches.
07:22In 2015,
07:24the world was shocked
07:25when Jared Fogle,
07:26who had long been known
07:27as the spokesperson
07:28for sandwich chain Subway,
07:30was caught talking about
07:31unspeakable acts
07:32involving minors
07:33and possession of material
07:35depicting said acts.
07:36Looking back on South Park's episode,
07:39Jared Has AIDS,
07:40it's almost eerie
07:41how Trey Parker and Matt Stone
07:43were almost warning us
07:44of Fogle.
07:45But after we get married,
07:46they'll be our AIDS.
07:48You'll love having AIDS, Christine.
07:50You really will.
07:50And when we have children,
07:51they'll have AIDS.
07:52In the episode,
07:53Jared talks about how he wants
07:55to give everyone in the world AIDS.
07:57People whose job is to assist others,
08:00and even give them to children.
08:01A play on words type of joke,
08:03yes.
08:04But it's hard to laugh at this joke,
08:06given what we know today.
08:08But I won't stop there.
08:10I'm going to seek out
08:11all the underprivileged
08:12and hungry children of the world,
08:14and I'm going to give them AIDS myself.
08:17Number two,
08:1817 years of development later.
08:21My friends,
08:22to victory!
08:23To victory!
08:24I don't play World of Warcraft.
08:26If you're an avid fan of video games,
08:28then you'll likely know
08:30about this hilarious moment.
08:31When Cartman gathers the boys
08:33to assess their situation
08:34in World of Warcraft,
08:35Butters reveals
08:36that he has never actually played
08:38the MMO before.
08:40Instead,
08:40he plays a game called
08:41Hello Kitty Island Adventure.
08:43Butters,
08:44you said you're on your computer
08:45all the time.
08:46Yeah,
08:46but I'm playing
08:47Hello Kitty Island Adventure.
08:48At the time of the episode's airing,
08:50no such game existed.
08:52But in 2023,
08:53the game became a reality.
08:55Hello Kitty Island Adventure
08:57released for iOS
08:58on July 28, 2023,
09:00before making its way
09:01to PC and consoles in 2025.
09:04And yes,
09:05it is exactly
09:06the kind of game
09:07we'd imagine
09:08Butters would be playing.
09:09An Animal Crossing-esque
09:11life simp,
09:12where you get to play
09:13with all of the different
09:14kind of characters
09:14from Sanrio.
09:16He's sharing everything
09:17with your friends.
09:20So if you've got

09:39Number 1.
09:43Bots make our movies.
09:45Greetings.
09:46I am the Asimo 4000.
09:50Wow.
09:51Now, this is one episode
09:54we never thought
09:55would actually become reality.
09:56Unfortunately,
09:57it's looking more and more likely
09:59every waking moment.
10:01Asimo shows Cartman
10:02tricking Butters
10:03into thinking he is a robot.
10:05During that time,
10:06the two wind up
10:06at a movie studio
10:07where Cartman is asked
10:08to pitch tons
10:09of movie ideas.
10:10Adam Sandler
10:11is like in love
10:12with some girl
10:13but then it turns out
10:14that the girl
10:15is actually a golden retriever
10:17or something.
10:20Oh, perfect.
10:21We'll call it puppy love.
10:23Well, at the time
10:24of this video,
10:25movie studios
10:25like Warner Brothers
10:26are investing
10:27in artificial intelligence
10:28to help identify
10:29market trends
10:30and predict the success
10:31of a movie
10:32before it can even
10:33enter production.
10:34Only time will tell
10:35how many of them
10:36star Adam Sandler.
10:38Boy, Los Angeles
10:39is great, huh, Asimo?
10:40Can you believe
10:41those guys paid us
10:41$100 a piece
10:42for those movie ideas?
10:43Did you find
10:44any of these predictions
10:45to be coincidental
10:46or does South Park Studios
10:48have a third eye?
10:49Let us know
10:50in the comments.
