00:00Being on the ballot and what it would potentially mean to be voted into the Hall of Fame.
00:04Yeah, obviously it's, you feel good that you're on the ballot.
00:09But I think I've been on, I don't know which ballot I've been on in the past.
00:15I've always been pretty non political about it.
00:21I'm not really a guy at politics for kidding in or anything else.
00:27And I think I said it on the Dan Patrick show, he had asked me about the Hall of Fame in general.
00:33And I think as the older I've got, and I want to say it the right way.
00:38But again, you know, politics to get into the Hall of Fame.
00:42But I said, there's not really anybody in there that I don't think I could get.
00:47And if I was on the field with those guys, I feel like I'd be, I wouldn't be out of place.
00:53I kind of say it simply like that.
00:55When you came to that decision at the end of such a successful season.
01:00Probably was closer to that decision before it ever, the season never started.
01:05Kind of had a pretty good feeling that this was going to be my last year in Toronto.
01:10And really kind of like when I went to Toronto, when Ross called me, I was thrilled.
01:20Had a great time there, the organization's been tremendous.
01:24The fans there are tremendous.
01:26It's been a great run.
01:29But I thought before the year started that this was kind of like,
01:34I felt like this was kind of the end with Toronto.
01:38And really nothing more than that, just felt like it was the right time.
01:43Any thought on that, being a manager again?
01:46Not really.
01:47I haven't really thought about that at all.
01:50I don't know if that's something that's in the cards for me.
01:55At this point, definitely don't think, I don't say this in a bad way, but
02:01the Rockies is probably not a good fit for me.
02:03That's more of a, obviously, a building situation.
02:07Probably meant more for a younger guy with lots of energy.
02:11So I wouldn't think that would be the proper fit.
02:14For a fan base that adores you here in New York,
02:16would you return to the New York Yankees coaching in any capacity?
02:19I think at this point, I just want to just chill and
02:24figure out what I want to do.
02:26You know, I don't know.
02:29I think you just kind of wake up today, take everything in,
02:36try to relax from the season.
02:38And again, just trying to find, see what comes up and
02:42what balances the family and work.
02:46What do you like to do next?
02:48You know, I don't know.
02:50I think the thing I wrestle with is trying to balance family with a 10 year old.
02:57Trying to balance that with still loving doing, you know, doing what I'm doing.
03:04And then balancing the road as, you know, 64, feel good.
03:09But the road can get, kind of wears you down.
03:14If I talk about it right now, I was like,
03:16the last thing I want to do is be on the road.
03:18But you never know how you feel in, you know, a month from now or whatever.
03:23So kind of those are the things I wrestle with, really that balancing act of family.
03:30And, you know, and still being a part of the game, which, you know,
03:34I still like, I like what I'm doing.
03:37You are even a part of the game.
03:40You keep going.
03:45You have to do.
