00:00Why these moves have been chosen by our predecessors.
00:06We just want to look at the position that is in the limelight.
00:13If you have appetite for opening studies, just look at early stage.
00:18There's always room, especially at the club level.
00:22It will be more difficult, of course, to make real improvement at 25, 26, 2700.
00:28Though the moves that I mentioned, H3 and H4, are played by very strong players.
00:32H3 by Karekin, for instance.
00:34The H4 also by 2700 plus players.
00:39And my recommendation would be that you make an assessment.
00:49A genuine assessment of your expectations from the openings.
00:52Maybe you believe that you'll be comfortable by playing some sharp, though semi-correct openings.
01:02I can, let's be honest.
01:04King's Gambit, semi-correct opening.
01:06But it still can work if your opponent is not ready.
01:10Because at the end of the day, it's not about objective value of the position only.
01:14But it's also about your ability to surprise your opponent.
01:19Sometimes surprising your opponent works well.
01:23And I still feel that there's plenty of room for improvements.
01:28Not necessarily for doing Fisher's 960.
01:31Just reshuffling the pieces.
01:33But even with our classical, old-fashioned position, there's still plenty of room.
01:38But it will be your choice.
01:40I believe that now it's for you to make all this work.
01:44Because unlike us, 34 years ago, you have almost unlimited opportunities to study these openings
01:53and to have a tree in one minute.
01:59And we'll see you next time.
