00:00That's the fun thing about life, you know?
00:02Yeah, you can't really predict the future
00:04and you can't really know what's gonna happen
00:06but that's the fun part of it and you just gotta try
00:09and give it everything you got in the moment
00:11and hope for the best, I think.
00:21Hi, I'm Lucy Ford and today we are joined by
00:24Inhypers!
00:25Yay!
00:27For the latest in Enemies in Conversation series.
00:30Hi!
00:31Hi!
00:32How are you doing?
00:33We're good.
00:34You just had the concert last night
00:35so I forgive you if you're really tired.
00:38Like I said, we are in London.
00:40It's your first time performing here on tour.
00:43How was it?
00:44I think we had the best that we could possibly imagine.
00:48The energy was just incredible.
00:50It's our first time being in London
00:52and doing our own concert.
00:54so we kind of didn't know what to expect
00:56from the fans and the crowds
00:58but they were more than we expected.
01:00They were so energetic.
01:01You all kind of mentioned on stage that you
01:03always really wanted to come to London.
01:06Yeah.
01:07What is it about London that you've always wanted to
01:09to come to us?
01:11Well, I don't know.
01:12I don't know.
01:13I don't know.
01:14I've never seen it before.
01:17I've never seen it before.
01:18London is a kind of
01:21I've never seen it before.
01:22I've never seen it before.
01:23kind of
01:36I've never seen it before.
01:37I'm not sure who people are in one way.
01:42So I wanted to know how I these fish and chips
01:47I feel like we have an unfair critic, though, because you're Australian. You have pretty good fish and chips, so
01:53I feel like, I'm a hundred percent sure. But the restaurant where we went was very high quality. It was like a proper restaurant
01:59So the fish and chips there were very kind of.. I don't know how to put it, but it was very high quality
02:03quality yeah but i don't know back in australia you would just get fish and chips like on the
02:08road kind of like yeah on any restaurant and they would just serve you like on a plastic
02:13like a paper plate and yeah but here was like very proper so it's like a burger you can have
02:19like a really nice burger or you can have like a dirty burger you know what i mean but they're
02:23still both good they're both good there's no such thing as bad fish and chips in my opinion
02:28um what were you excited about about being able to come to this side of the world

04:44ν¬μ±μ J, you get a moment to play instruments on stage. How's that? How does that feel?
04:50It's really embarrassing because like UK it's like one of the most biggest band industry in the whole world so
04:58so uh it's a little embarrassing for me as a big fan of British music but uh i just try my best every single time like
05:06trying to making more like colors of the stages like uh instruments or anything else we can do without dancing or singing
05:16so i'm think i think i'm always trying my best to make a new color of the concert

05:50I know J, you actually did mention last night how much you do like British music.
05:55Is there any in particular that you like?
05:58There's a lot of like legendary bands in UK like Police or The Who, U2 and Rolling Stones.
06:09A lot of legendary bands in UK.
06:12So I love like brick pop, British rock like a genre for my life.
06:18So I think it's one of the most like favorite music in my life.
06:25Do you feel like you've got it down now?
06:27Do you know the things you need to do to feel well on stage to do your best?
06:33Or are you still kind of always learning?
06:35Well, I'd say we're definitely less nervous about going up on stage compared to maybe our first tour.
06:42I remember we used to be very nervous being back up backstage, you know, just before we go on.
06:48But now I think we're more relaxed, we're more hyped.
06:50That just came with experience.
06:52Being up on stage in front of a lot of people, I feel like no human being is really not nervous about that at first.
07:01But you get used to it and you just get more ideas of how to make that crowd enjoy more.
07:08So as a group, we're more confident now compared to our first concert.
07:13I would be worried if you weren't nervous about that.
07:15I would be like, you need to go have a rest.
07:18Do you do anything to like hype yourself up before you go on stage?
07:22I ate a bread a lot.
07:26Nice.
07:27With a strawberry jam.
07:29Is that every time or just?
07:32Most of the days.
07:34Yeah.
07:35And also I wanted to like eat a lot.
07:39Yeah.
07:40Carb a lot.
07:41Like carb loading?
07:42Like you're doing a marathon basically.
07:44That makes me energetic.
07:46Yeah.
07:47It's a great excuse to eat loads of bread.
07:50Jake, you mentioned that jet lag can be pretty grueling.
07:53I guess like physically, mentally.
07:55I know when I'm jet lagged, I just want to cry all the time.
07:58Do you guys do anything?
08:00Like do you know how to sort it out now?
08:02Um, I feel like everyone gets jet lag whenever they're traveling.
08:06But the hard thing about jet lag is the time you need to sleep, you can't sleep.
08:10And when you can't sleep, you just get so tired.
08:13I think we're just used to it now.
08:14There's like, we just came to the conclusion that you can't really do anything about it.
08:18So you just got to go through it.
08:20Is there any essentials that you have on tour that you like can't leave home without like necessary?
08:26What's that?
08:27What's that?
08:28Melaton.
08:29Yeah, Melaton.
08:30Very important.
08:31Most important thing ever.
08:32Melaton and jelly.
08:33We need that.
08:34Because of jet lag.
08:35You can't get it in the UK.
08:37Really?
08:38I know.
08:39They don't sell it here.
08:40Yeah.
08:41I just have to get everyone to bring it to me.
08:43Is it like illegal?
08:44Yeah, I mean like it's fine if you have it.
08:46But like you can't buy it here.
08:48You're not going to get in trouble.
08:49Okay, okay.
08:50I was like, what?
08:51No, no.
08:52Please.
08:53No, no, no.
08:55Yeah, we bought it from America.
08:56What a bunch.
08:57I thought it was illegal.
08:58I thought it was illegal.
08:59No, no.
09:01You're all fucked.
09:02You're completely burned.
09:03It's just that I suffer.
09:05Really?
09:06I can't get it.
09:07Yeah.
09:08I thought it was illegal.
09:09Okay.
09:10I was like, whoa.
09:11No.
09:12It's all good.
09:13Whoa.
09:14You're not allowed to leave.
09:15So do you guys have to buy another country?
09:18Yeah.
09:19You can just buy it.
09:20Yeah.
09:21Next time you guys come, I'm gonna ask you to bring it.
09:24Alright, alright.
09:25So back to the essentials?
09:26Yes, back to essentials.
09:27Anything else?
09:30There's an essential thing that I regret not bringing.
09:34Which is my own pillow.
09:36When I sleep, I feel like...
09:37One of those people needs to bring their own pillow.
09:39I feel like pillow is one of the most important thing.
09:42To get a good night's sleep.
09:43But I was thinking about it, but it was way too big to fit in my trunk.
09:47So I couldn't bring it.
09:49But I regret it.
09:50It's also good for your skin as well.
09:52He said it's also good for your skin as well.
09:54To have the same pillow.
09:55Yeah, the same sheets, clean sheets.
09:57What do you think about it?
09:58What do you think about it?
09:59What do you think about it?
10:00What do you think about it?
10:01I think about it.
10:02I think about it.
10:03I think about it.
10:04Okay, so he has...
10:05He has blocked nose.
10:06So...
10:07I don't know if you have this in the UK, but this is a bottle, right?
10:11In Korea, you have this bottle.
10:12It's like a little...
10:13You sweat water through the nose.
10:15You have that here, right?
10:16We do have that.
10:17But it's very clean.
10:19It's like...
10:20It's not normal to have water.
10:21It's like salted.
10:22Oh yeah, like saline?
10:23Yeah, saline kind of.
10:24Yeah?
10:25He does it every day.
10:27Yeah.
10:28But it's really good to fit in there.
10:30Jay, you have said that you think 2025 is the most important year for ENHYPEN.
10:35Yeah.
10:36Why do you think that is?
10:38Okay.
10:39Like this year plan was like...
10:42To change our character...
10:44Like change our team to the next level.
10:46And to the next page of our like team.
10:49The schedules we did, the big events in this year was all for that, I guess.
10:56So I think it will make another like era of our team next year.
11:02So did you come into this year being like, we're going to do bigger stage, more, you know, more stuff?
11:09Yeah.
11:10New challenges like the Europe tour.
11:13It's like intentional.
11:14But to be honest, that's what we talk about at the start of every year.
11:19It's like we try to say, we always gather around the beginning of the year saying that this year is going to be the biggest.
11:26But I think that that's going to be the same for next year.
11:29It's just going to keep going.
11:30Yeah.
11:31You as a group have this really like fantastical lore, you know, that comes with it, like the concepts that you have.
11:38But you kind of don't do that as much on stage.
11:41Do you see them as separate?
11:43Sort of the concept of the group in videos and all that stuff?
11:47And then on stage is more just about you as individuals?
11:50I'm going to make a lot of different things.
11:52I'm going to make a lot of different things.
11:55What are your designs?
11:56Actually, when we're making a project, we can't do it.
12:00We can't do it.
12:03We can't do it.
12:04We can't do it.
12:06We can't do it.
12:08We can't do it.
12:11I think we can't do it.
12:14It's completely different than that.
12:17I think it's a new concept.
12:22We can't do it.
12:26How do you guys stay grounded and sort of plant your feet on the ground when maybe life is whipping you into crazy situations?
12:35It's a very deep question.
12:37I know, sorry.
12:39You can go back to melatonin if you want.
12:41I can't really give you...
12:43Me, personally, are there anything I can give you the answer right away, right now?
12:46Because one of the biggest questions we go through in life and we're still trying to figure out
12:51how to balance and how to do what you said.
12:54But we always come back to, I think, our fans, our engines.
12:57They help us stay grounded and they're kind of the reason we're able to do all this.
13:02Like you said, performing in front of big crowds.
13:04We can't be performing in front of no one, right?
13:07We can't be touring without people watching us.
13:10So I think it always comes back to our fans.
13:13Them being there and them giving us so much love and support.
13:17You said on stage last night that the Walk the Line tour is about looking back in the past and also sort of forging ahead to the future.
13:25When you look into the past, what are the things that you're looking at?
13:29Like what's the first place that you go?
13:32Yeah.
13:33Yeah.
13:34Very difficult.
13:35Iγγγ©γ, so that those companies knew the groove of people and developers had Pyakinose.
13:38I have a pleasure to see.
13:39When we function a conference and the staff member Utilized.
13:40I wish you had Deputy Mike a Lucian Mananking and how they want to zoals,
13:45when it comes to our then the companyDS.
13:50When the staff member segers and was invited to publish the Youtgenals,
13:53we see a couple of Bear table guys.
13:58I feel that I've grown up a lot.
14:01You're celebrating five years since you were on island.
14:04Yeah.
14:04Is there anything about your life now that you feel like you could have never predicted?
14:09No that's the fun thing about life you know?
14:12Yeah.
14:13You can't really predict the future and you can't really know what's gonna happen but
14:17that's the fun part of it and you just gotta try and give it everything you got in the
14:21moment and hope for the best of things.
14:23Yeah.
14:24And so much has changed like I remember watching the show and we were all like stuck at home
14:29and I was texting on my friends because I couldn't see them you know just like life
14:33and now last night in a massive arena surrounded by people that must have just been a kind
14:38of crazy thing for you guys as well.
14:41How did you feel?
14:42But it was really five years ago, so we were all so young and so we were all so young.
14:49I think you're a lot of comparing now and we were all so young.
14:54We were all so young and we were all so young.
14:57I think it's not a bit different from that time.
15:02Do you watch it back at all?
15:04I don't watch it.
15:05Sometimes.
15:06Sometimes.
15:08Do you have to be in the right headspace to do it to look back on yourself?
15:12It's fine.
15:13It's not gonna lie.
15:14It's hard to be.
15:16It's not easy if you want to be humble.
15:18Or proud of yourself.
15:21What would you say is like the biggest learning curve that you have experienced over the
15:26last five years then?
15:27I feel like I'm going to do it.
15:31I felt like I'm going to do it.
15:34I felt like when I was in the debut of the first time, but I felt like I felt like I'm going to do it.
15:38I felt like if I was going to do it for a schedule, I felt like I was going to do it.
15:45That's right.
15:48It was a bit of a series of series.
15:50The schedule is also like, we were able to do it.
15:54If we were to do it, we were able to do it.
15:57Can we do it?
15:59But I felt like I was able to do it.
16:01I felt like I was able to do it.
16:03Is there anything that you like literally never thought you'd be able to master that now feels like second nature or that you can do?
16:12I'm just playing on the stage.
16:15At the first time, I'm playing on the stage.
16:20I'm playing on the stage.
16:22I'm playing on the stage when I'm playing on the stage.
16:25Ah, right, right.
16:28I'm playing on the stage when I'm playing on the stage.
16:33I feel like that's a great idea.
16:46Yeah.
16:47I think one, as time goes by, I think the chemistry between the stage and the stage and the stage and the stage.
16:54You have many roles.
16:57I think one, as time goes by, I think the chemistry between the stage and the stage and the stage,
17:02the chemistry between us seven just gets better.
17:05And if we're up on stage, you can tell if someone's not feeling well or someone's having less kind of energy.
17:13And then it's the rest of the members' job to kind of fill that in.
17:18We don't do that without talking.
17:20You can just feel and see that on stage.
17:23I think that we couldn't do that at the beginning.
17:27But I think as time goes on, as we do more concerts, as we do more performances, I think that just comes by naturally.
17:35Now, looking ahead, like you said in the ethos of the tour, do you have any specific goals in mind?
17:41I mean, we've still got a few more months of 2025 to make it an even better year.
17:46Well, we still have the Europe tour left.
17:49We only did London.
17:50I know.
17:51I'm rushing you.
17:52I feel like the closest goal is to do well and that finish the tour well.
17:58We're going to Singapore as well for the Walk the Line tour.
18:01So I think just ending Walk the Line is very important to us.
18:05And rather than look back and look ahead, is there anything in this moment that you're just like really proud of yourself for doing, you know?
18:34I think I'm a lot of talking about it.
18:36I think I was really interested in Coachella's position.
18:39I think I had a big point in our team.
18:44I think that we had a big point in our team.
18:45We had Coachella's position.
18:47We had Coachella's position.
18:50I was really interested in our thoughts and input.
18:54It was a lot of input.
18:57So we had a lot of new direction.
19:04I think that we can be able to move forward with the strength of our own.
19:14That was the most important moment in my life.
19:19I think that Coachella has been a long time in the schedule.
19:25It was a lot of fun and fun.
19:29It was a lot of fun and fun.
19:32You like that.
19:33You like that.
19:35You like that.
19:37That was a huge part of the stage that I really like.
19:41I thought that was really great.
19:46It was a really good stage.
19:48That's fine.
19:49That's fine.
19:50Well, thank you so much for chatting with me.
19:52Oh, thank you.
19:53Yeah.
19:54Unless you want to talk more.
19:56Anything else to say?
19:58I like your hair.
19:59Oh, thank you.
20:00I like your outfit.
20:01I like all your outfits and all your hair.
20:05Thank you so much for chatting with me.
20:06Thanks for having us.
20:07Best of luck for the rest of the tour.
