00:04BTS, the name of K-pop's hottest group spelled out in drones above Seoul's nighttime skyline.
00:10A four-year hiatus while the group's members did their mandatory military service is finally over,
00:16and there's a comeback album to boot named Arirang after one of Korea's best-loved folk songs.
00:23The silhouettes of the group's seven members projected on Seoul's famous Sungye Moon Gate shows the national status they've reached.
00:30BTS equals South Korea.
00:32And on Saturday, they'll be back on stage with a concert streamed live around the world.
00:37For South Korean fans, this moment is a long time coming.
00:42I've been part of the BTS fan army for a long time, so I've waited for a really long time.
00:47I'm sorry, I've been looking forward to this concert for so long,
00:49and the new songs are even better than I expected, so I'm really looking forward to tomorrow's concert.
00:56But the number of foreign fans who've come to Seoul to celebrate the return of their idols is striking.
01:02BTS is one of the trailblazers that made South Korean pop a global phenomenon, starting in Asia and now far
01:08beyond.
01:09The light show is a bit short, but I think it's a teaser for their upcoming album.
01:13I think it will give the fans a glimpse, and I think it will make them be more excited for
01:21the upcoming album.
01:23Actually, we still didn't have the opportunity to listen to their new album, so we are pretty much very excited.
01:28It's also a very good opportunity to be here in Seoul, in South Korea, for the BTS comeback.
01:36And even fans unable to make it to Seoul are gathering wherever they can, like this meet-up in London,
01:41where many have been up for hours waiting to buy the new album.
01:44I specifically put my alarm down for like 7am to make sure I come here, because I knew there was
01:49going to be a queue.
01:50And I still woke up much earlier than the album, because I was so, so excited to hear it.
01:54It's been, you know, four years. We've been waiting for four years.
02:00The Supergroup's triumphant return is just getting started.
02:03A world tour starts April 9th in South Korea, and will go on to 33 other cities across the world.
02:09One of Asia's biggest acts is back.
02:12Devin Tsai and John Van Trieste for Taiwan Plus.
