00:00The hiatus is officially over. BTS just announced their massive 2026 world tour and it is bigger
00:05than anything they've ever done. We're talking about 79 shows across 34 cities, their first
00:10full-scale trek since reuniting, setting a new benchmark for K-pop touring. To get you up to
00:15speed, BTS is a seven-member South Korean boy band that is widely considered the biggest musical
00:20act in the world. They're known for their massive dedicated fan base called ARMY,
00:25self-proclaimed music, and intricate dance performances. The band officially debuted
00:29on June 12, 2013 with the release of their single album Too Cool for School and its lead single
00:35No More Dream. And their first stage performance was on June 13, 2013 on M Countdown, marking the
00:41beginning of their active years as a group. But in 2022, the group had to pause everything due to
00:46South Korea's strict military laws. Korean military rules center on mandatory service for most able-bodied
00:53men aged 18 to 28 for 18 to 21 months. It involves intense physical and psychological
00:59evaluations to determine service type. And this isn't a VIP vacation. Reports state rules cover
01:04strict conduct, including physical fitness tests, and training can vary from advanced tech to basic
01:10drills. So starting in 2022 with the oldest member, Jin, all seven members stepped away to fulfill this
01:16duty, completing their service in mid-2025. Now with everyone officially discharged, they are back with a
01:21vengeance. The 2026 tour kicks off April 9th in South Korea before hitting North America, Europe,
01:27and Latin America. And this setup, according to reports, BTS will be using a 360-degree in-the-round
01:34stage, meaning the stage is in the center of the stadium, giving fans an immersive view from every
01:39angle. And if anyone worried that a three-year break would cool down the army momentum, the numbers say
01:44otherwise. Just this week, reports confirmed that V has shattered Instagram history. The 30-year-old
01:50artist is now the most followed Korean male solo artist, a massive record that reports state is unlikely to be
01:55broken anytime soon. This proves the fan base hasn't just waited, they've grown. And that demand is
02:01exactly why this tour will be a battle. Tickets for army membership holders drop January 22nd,
