02:09Okay, I just stopped you for the tail lights
02:11That's all
02:12I got them on now, right?
02:13Yeah, they're probably good now
02:14I got to walk back there and check
02:16Can you shut it off to step out for me?
02:18No
02:19Why not?
02:20Why am I stepping on the vehicle?
02:22Because I believe you had something to drink tonight
02:24How much did you have to drink tonight?
02:25Nothing
02:26Nothing at all?
02:27No
02:28Okay
02:29There's an open can of steel reserve behind your seat
02:31Oh yeah, that's cool

02:33And your eyes are glossy and your speech is slurred
02:35Okay

02:44Stop, stop
02:45The suspect takes off
02:48And Sergeant LaLuzerne rushes back to his cruiser to take up her suit
02:52I'll take spikes from the county and I'll take mutual aid
03:06Soon, another officer pulls up behind the sergeant
03:1024, 145, I'm with you
03:1210-4, get in front of him and try to box him and he'll come up on your side
03:16The two officers try to stop the suspect by boxing him in
03:22But he pulls away and strangely makes a call to 911
03:28Unlike county 911, where's your emergency?
03:30I am in a high speed chase right now, heading north on 41
03:34Let the cops go, if they stop me, I got a gun here, I'm gonna start shooting
03:38No, sir, I need you to not do that, where is the gun now?
03:42They put my left
03:44What type of weapon do you have?
03:46I'm not gonna tell you what kind of weapon it is
03:48You're not gonna tell me what kind of gun that you have?
03:50You will, but if they stop me, I will shoot them all together
03:54I'm not going back to jail
03:56I'll stand them, I'll shoot them
03:58Okay, all right, you do not do that
04:01No, I swear to God, as soon as I stop, I'm coming off the door and I'm shooting
04:05Okay, I need you to stay on the line with me, Lauren
04:07Bye
04:08No
04:09Bye
04:10After he hangs up, the dangerous high speed chase continues
04:144145, we are in the right lane, doing 73 behind the semi
04:19That's when the 911 operator surprises the driver by calling him back
04:24Hello, who's this?
04:26Lawrence, is that you?
04:28Who is this?
04:29This is the 911 center, we just lost connection
04:32I need you just to cooperate and listen to me
04:34As soon as I come out of this car, as soon as I come out of this car, I'm shooting
04:38Lawrence, I need you to not yell, okay?
04:41All right, here we go
04:42Lawrence?
04:45Lawrence?
04:46The suspect makes a sudden exit off the highway, smashes through a fence, and into this field, where his car comes to a stop
04:54All right, time to shoot
04:56Lawrence, do not do that
04:57As the sergeant and other officers arrive on the scene, they shine a spotlight on the fugitive's car
05:04Lawrence, I need you to talk to me
05:15R145, he's got something in his hand, I can't tell what I was
05:19Lawrence, can you hear me?
05:20Hey man, don't do it
05:21Hey!
05:22Put your hands up!
05:23Put your hands up!
05:24Put it down!
05:25What do you have in your hand?
05:26Put it down!
05:27What do you have in your hand?
05:29Don't!
05:30Don't do it!
05:31Don't do it!
05:32He begins walking toward the officers
05:35Don't do it!
05:37Don't do it!
05:38Hey, listen!
05:39Hey, buddy!
05:40Buddy!
05:41This is not a big deal!
05:43Relax!
05:44Relax!
05:45Show me your hands!
05:46Show me your hands!
05:47Show us your hands!
05:48Come on!
05:49Show us your hands!
05:50Show us your hands!
05:51Come on!
05:52Don't do this!
05:53Listen man!
05:54Hey!
05:55Buddy!
05:56No!
05:57We can talk about this!
05:58Listen!
05:59But instead, the suspect, who's still on the line with 911, walks back to his vehicle.
06:06He's reaching!
06:07He's reaching!
06:08Standby!
06:09Lawrence, can you hear me?
06:10He's reaching around in the car!
06:11Hey, he's reaching!
06:12He's reaching!
06:13Watch his hands!
06:14Lawrence, can you hear me?
06:15Oh, 145.
06:16Update.
06:17He's back in the car.
06:18Come on!
06:19Give me!
06:20Lawrence, can you hear me?
06:21The fugitive soon begins walking toward the officers again.
06:25This time, he's got one arm behind his back.
06:28Show me your hands!
06:30Stop!
06:31Stop!
06:32Stop right there!
06:33Stop!
06:34Hey, listen!
06:36Hey, let's talk about this!
06:40Let's talk about this!
06:41Put your hands up!
06:43Put your hands up!
06:44And when he still refuses to follow the sergeant's commands, moving even closer with his hands
06:51still hidden behind his back, officers take action.
06:56Shots fired!
06:57Sergeant LaLuzerne fires two shots and the suspect goes down.
07:02Door 145.
07:03Shots fired.
07:04We can't see his hands.
07:05Suspect is down.
07:06Give me EMS right away.
07:08He's down in the ditch.
07:09The officers hold their positions as backup arrives.
07:12I shot, yeah.
07:13You did, okay.
07:14Yeah, you told me he was going to shoot when he was approaching.
07:16I'm all right.
07:17I'm good, I'm good.
07:18I tried to talk to him, good, and I tried to talk to him for so long.
07:21Son of a bitch, dude!
07:24Officers slowly move into the field and approach the suspect, who is unresponsive.
07:29EMS arrived and provided emergency care, but the suspect died on the scene from his injuries.
07:36He was ID'd as 36-year-old Lawrence Drennan, an ex-con with past convictions for disorderly
07:42conduct, operating while intoxicated, theft, and burglary.
07:46Blood tests later revealed that at the time of the incident, Drennan had a BAC of .198,
07:53more than twice the legal limit in Wisconsin.
07:56No firearm was located at the scene, and no officers were injured during the incident.
08:01Following an investigation by the Winnebago County District Attorney's Office,
08:05Sergeant Laluzerne's use of lethal force against Drennan was deemed to be justified,
08:10and he did not face criminal charges.
08:17Next, we're in Peach County, Georgia, where police are responding to a call about a woman
08:22who witnesses say has been driving in the opposite lane of traffic
08:26and is now putting law enforcement and civilians in danger by refusing to exit her vehicle.
08:31Earlier, after witnessing the suspect's reckless driving,
08:37local motorists blocked the vehicle in at an intersection and called police.
08:42When officers arrived on the scene, they attempted to talk the driver out of her SUV.
08:48Now, when the driver doesn't comply, officers lay stop sticks in front of her tires.
08:59Better work, are you?
09:01But seconds later...
09:02Now you just had a wreck!
09:06Yeah!
09:07Yeah!
09:08Yeah!
09:09Yeah!
09:10The suspect tries to escape by ramming vehicles,
09:14as well as police and bystanders who are blocking her path,
09:17even sending this man falling to the ground.
09:21Break glass! Break glass! Break glass! Break glass!
09:23Get out of the car! Get out!
09:25The driver then reverses direction,
09:27but then moves forward again, rolling over the stop sticks a second time
09:31before nearly running over the man in the blue shirt again,
09:46who attempts to jump onto the SUV's hood to avoid being hit.
09:51After the suspect pulls away,
09:54Byron PD captain Brian Hunter, along with other officers,
09:59immediately gives chase.
10:01Come on!
10:03But the fugitive doesn't make it very far,
10:06as the effects of the stop sticks kick in,
10:08forcing her to stop in the middle of the road.
10:11Officers quickly move to block her in again.
10:18But the suspect doesn't seem ready to give up.
10:29As a sheriff's deputy attempts to punch out one of her windows,
10:38the driver hits the gas,
10:40aggressively ramming into a cruiser,
10:42and somehow driving off.
10:48She's not going to make it far.
10:50She's not going to make it far.
10:51She's not going to make it far.
10:52Let's go!
10:58But she only makes it to the next light,
11:00her SUV now badly damaged,
11:03and her front left wheel completely destroyed.
11:07After a cruiser rams into her,
11:10police box her in again.
11:13I got you.
11:24Sir.
11:25Ma'am.
11:26We got it.
11:28I know I'm buckled, sir.
11:30I know I'm buckled, sir.
11:31Yeah.
11:32Sir.
11:33No.
11:34I didn't do anything.
11:35I didn't do it, sir.
11:36You just tried to kill 10 people.
11:37No, I did not, sir.
11:38Alex, for sure.
11:39No.
11:40Sir, stop.
11:41Sir.
11:42I didn't do it.
11:43Stop.
11:44You're not.
11:45Stop.
11:46I did not do whatever you guys are talking about.
11:52As officers cuff the driver,
11:54a witness discovers that a small child
11:57has been at risk inside the vehicle
12:00throughout the entire incident.
12:02You killed that kid.
12:04I didn't do anything.
12:05Yes, you did.
12:06You almost killed three people.
12:08The driver was identified as 24-year-old Sierra Hibbert.
12:13Hibbert was arrested and charged with assault,
12:15criminal interference with government property,
12:18willful obstruction of law enforcement officers,
12:21criminal damage to property, reckless driving,
12:24and cruelty to children.
12:26She was released on a $50,000 bond,
12:29and her case is pending.
12:31The child in the back seat was examined and medically cleared by EMS
12:35and then turned over to her grandfather.
12:38Police did not release the child's age or its connection,
12:41if any, to the suspect.
12:43No officers or civilians were seriously injured during the bizarre incident.
12:48Next, we're in Concord, California,
12:53where local PD are in pursuit of two allegedly armed suspects
12:58who police say just robbed a bank and carjacked a vehicle.
13:02Earlier, security cameras at a local bank
13:05captured these images of two masked men as they approached tellers at a counter.
13:10After one of the men pulled out a gun, the tellers began handing over cash.
13:15The suspects then fled the scene with an undisclosed amount of money
13:19and witnesses provided a description of the getaway car.
13:22But when the fugitive's vehicle became disabled in heavy traffic,
13:26a bystander filmed the two men as they attempted to carjack the vehicle in front of her.
13:33The suspects removed the victim and got into their car.
13:37But the victim, who was unharmed,
13:40was able to activate a feature in the vehicle that disabled it,
13:44preventing the suspects from restarting it and fleeing.
13:47Now, Corporal Sean Parsley is the first officer to arrive on scene.
13:52Hey, try the carjacks on.
13:56Hey!
13:57The corporal ditches his bike and runs through traffic with his weapon drawn.
14:01Let me see you! Hey!
14:03As he approaches the scene,
14:05he sees that the suspects are now trying to carjack the vehicle driven by the woman
14:10who just moments earlier was recording them on her phone.
14:14Hey, get back! Let me show you!
14:16Shut up!
14:17The suspects are already inside the woman's car
14:20as she desperately rushes to gather her two children from the back seat.
14:24Shut up!
14:26As the fugitives peel away, the corporal checks on the three victims.
14:30Are you okay?
14:31We got you!
14:32We got you!
14:33We got you!
14:342-15! We got found!
14:35Additional officers join the chase as the suspects exit the highway onto local streets.
14:39Long side of the road. Long side of the road.
14:42But as the fugitives continue to drive recklessly...
14:45Oh, Judge T.C. with somebody right in front of...
14:48Their luck finally runs out.
14:50The suspects crash into another vehicle,
14:53and as Sergeant Ramirez pulls up, they make a run for him.
14:57Suspect is, uh, two suspects running.
14:59Sergeant Ramirez carefully follows them in his cruiser.
15:05One suspect, black shirt, all black, hang gun, running down Timothy and Mulberry.
15:10The other one is in a gray, all gray, with a firearm.
15:14Both have firearms.
15:15As the two fugitives run in opposite directions, the Sergeant and another officer pursue the driver.
15:21At the same time, a local citizen's dash camera picks up the chase as the driver runs toward them.
15:28As he reaches the car with the dash cam, the suspect drops his gun and attempts to jack it.
15:34But when he's unable to open the door, he picks up his gun and continues to run.
15:41Sergeant Ramirez then exits his cruiser and fires his weapon.
15:48The suspect, who dropped his gun again while running away, was hit and fell to the ground.
15:54But he doesn't stay down.
15:56Stay down!
15:57Stay down!
15:58Get on the f***ing ground!
15:59Officers quickly catch up to him.
16:01Get on the ground now.
16:02Get on the f***ing ground now.
16:03Get on the f***ing ground now.
16:04Get on the f***ing ground now.
16:06Get on the f***ing ground now.
16:07The two officers cuff the suspect and call it in.
16:10Shots fired.
16:11Shots fired.
16:12Shots fired.
16:13Uh, one suspect being taken into custody.
16:16Um, give me another arm!
16:18I got one outstanding suspect in the last location I gave you.
16:21Other officers apprehended the passenger nearby.
16:24They were ID'd as 29-year-old Cruz Vargas, the driver, and 21-year-old Elijah Phillips, the passenger.
16:32Police soon discovered that Vargas, who was treated for a gunshot wound before being taken to jail, was already on parole for a previous carjacking conviction.
16:42Police also found Vargas' gun at the scene, which had been illegally modified to become fully automatic with a high-capacity drum magazine.
16:51He received several new charges, including felony robbery, fleeing a pursuing peace officer's motor vehicle, driving against traffic, carjacking, possession of a machine gun, and hit and run.
17:03As for Phillips, who already had active warrants for domestic violence and theft, he was charged with felony robbery, carjacking, and possession of a machine gun.
17:12Both men have pled not guilty and remain in custody.
17:16Their cases are pending.
17:18Next, we're in Atlanta, Georgia, where officers are in foot pursuit of a fugitive wanted for armed robbery and aggravated assault.
17:31A week earlier, police say a man armed with a semi-automatic handgun entered a local convenience store, approached this customer, and demanded his car keys.
17:42When the customer didn't hand them over, the suspect snatched them away and fled the scene.
17:49But a little more than a week later, Officer Eddie Yu was flagged down by a clerk who told him they saw the suspect back in the store that day.
17:58Officer Yu began canvassing the area, and soon spotted a man who matched the description of the suspect.
18:05Walk that way, walk that way, walk that way.
18:08Okay.
18:09The suspect continued to walk away, so Officer Yu moved quickly to detain him.
18:23Additional officers, including Sergeants Dennis Greenwood and Scott Perry, arrived and helped take the suspect into custody.
18:30Chill for a minute.
18:31But while Officer Yu was transporting him to jail, the suspect was somehow able to slip out of his cuffs and jump out of the cruiser.
18:43He got away, but officers searched the area and were able to locate him a short time later in this parking garage.
18:51Now, as the foot chase continues, backup arrives.
19:06Stop, stop, stop.
19:08And officers find the suspect hiding behind this building.
19:12Stop, stop.
19:23Get on the ground!
19:24Get on the ground!
19:29Get on the ground!
19:31The suspect was ID'd as 27-year-old Jaquan Blakeney.
19:36Blakeney already has previous convictions for auto theft and criminal trespass.
19:42He was charged with aggravated assault, armed robbery, possession of a firearm,
19:47willful obstruction of law enforcement, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
19:53He's pled not guilty, and his case is pending.
19:56If convicted on all charges, Blakeney faces up to 60 years in prison and up to $100,000 in fines.
