00:00I'm Tom Morris, Jr., and this is Fugitives Caught on Tape.

00:22This guy has no regard for anybody else on the road.

00:24First up, we're in Dallas, Texas, where officers are in pursuit of a

00:54fugitive in a box truck who rammed a police vehicle, bled a traffic stop, and is now driving

01:01recklessly on the highway.

01:04Earlier, according to police reports, undercover detectives were surveilling a stolen moving

01:09truck when the driver of the truck seemed to spot their tail.

01:14He then backed into their unmarked SUV, ramming it into a fire hydrant and causing its airbags

01:21to deploy.

01:22The driver then fled the scene as officers called for backup.

01:26Now, as the chase continues, the truck blasts through a stop sign.

01:34And then gets on the highway, where he continues to drive dangerously, sideswiping and slamming

01:48into vehicles and swerving across lanes of traffic.

01:53But it's not long before his reckless driving begins to take its toll on the truck.

02:10It's like one of their back tires is going to get out.

02:19I'm coming up to the Monaco bird exit.

02:24Now, the suspect sideswipes an SUV, nearly driving it into a concrete wall.

02:34Eventually, he exits the highway.

02:40Now, on local roads, the suspect speeds towards a red light in this busy intersection.

03:17the driver loses control, hits the median, and crashes into a tree.

03:25Amazingly, he then exits the truck, seemingly unharmed, and flees on foot.

03:34Officer Keenan Craven gives chase.

03:43The suspect runs through a parking lot at Dallas' Love Airfield.

03:49With Officer Craven closing in, the suspect runs toward an open hangar.

03:55Then, suddenly...

04:05The suspect turns and fires two shots at Officer Craven.

04:09Both shots are off the mark as Craven returns fire.

05:18officers cuff the suspect who's been shot in the leg and then provide medical assistance

05:25he was identified as 41 year old ryan taylor taylor was taken into custody and then to a local

05:37hospital for treatment officers secured his handgun at the scene which they soon discovered

05:43had been reported stolen taylor was charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon

05:48aggravated assault of a public servant and evading arrest he's yet to enter a plea and his case is

05:55pending remarkably no officers were hurt and no injuries were reported among the 13 vehicles

06:03that taylor crashed into during the 27 minute long pursuit

06:07next we're in volusia county florida where deputies are in pursuit of a suspect wanted for aggravated

06:17battery with a deadly weapon earlier deputies who've been surveilling 39 year old randolph brown

06:24as they prepared to arrest him pulled brown over and with the help of a second unit boxed in his car

06:30and that's when things got intense quickly hands out the window hands out the window

07:05As deputies try to get control of the situation,

07:10Brown suddenly rolls up his window and makes his move.

07:20As their suspect leaves the scene,

07:22deputies on the ground alert the department's helicopter, Air 1,

07:26which is already overhead.

07:28Air 1, we've got to be sleeping. We can't bring our vehicle.

07:32All right, I got you guys coming up. Find the white van.

07:36While Air 1 tracks Brown's vehicle,

07:39ground units set up stop sticks further up the road.

07:42And when the suspect approaches...

07:48Okay, see you there.

07:50After driving over the stop sticks,

07:53Brown's vehicle spins out of control and crashes onto the sidewalk.

07:57But somehow, he's able to get back on the road and continue fleeing.

08:02As the suspect continues to drive dangerously,

08:05even speeding through this red light,

08:08deputies quickly deploy a second set of stop sticks.

08:11All right, the silver one. Silver one, get ready.

08:25But as Brown approaches the scene,

08:27he seems to spot their trap.

08:29And makes a desperate, dangerous move

08:31into the opposite lane of traffic.

08:45where traffic slows,

08:46and he runs out of driving room.

08:56Brown exits the vehicle

08:57and begins to walk away,

09:00just as deputies and a K-9 unit pull up.

09:03He's out. He's walking away from units.

09:08He's running towards the 7-11 around.

09:09He's down at 44.

09:11K-9 Red is deployed

09:12and takes off after Brown.

09:37In his vehicle,

09:38deputies say they found a loaded firearm

09:40and a backpack containing illegal drugs.

09:44Two of the drivers that Brown struck

09:45suffered from minor neck injuries

09:47but made full recoveries.

09:49Brown was charged with aggravated fleeing,

09:52battery on law enforcement officers,

09:54drug possession, and other charges.

09:57He pled not guilty

09:58and is being held without bond

10:00in the county jail.

10:02and his original aggravated battery case

10:05are pending.

10:06Next, we're in Las Vegas, Nevada,

10:12where a park ranger and state troopers

10:14are pursuing a man who police say

10:16fled from a traffic stop

10:18and is now driving recklessly.

10:20Earlier, just before 6 a.m.,

10:23police received a 911 call

10:25from a woman who told them her son,

10:2729-year-old Eric LaGreed,

10:28was in distress

10:30and driving around

10:31in nearby Red Rock Canyon.

10:34Rangers soon spotted LaGreed

10:35driving recklessly around the campground

10:37where he struck several fence posts

10:39and lost the front bumper of his truck.

10:42About 30 minutes later,

10:44ranger Christopher Allen

10:45caught up with LaGreed

10:46near the entrance to the canyon

10:48and tried to pull him over.

10:50But the suspect fled to the visitor center

10:52and parked in the lot.

10:54Now, Ranger Allen,

10:56along with state troopers

10:57Marcus McBadden

10:58and Anthony Hernandez

10:59pull in

11:00and prepare to confront the suspect.

11:06Just as they move to block him in,

11:10LaGreed gets out of his truck.

11:42LaGreed starts the truck's engine

11:44and rams Ranger Allen's vehicle

11:46in front of him.

11:4955-44, he's just rammed it.

11:51He then reverses

11:52and takes off,

11:54striking Trooper McBadden's vehicle

11:56as he exits the lot.

11:59LaGreed flees the scene.

12:02Trooper Hernandez takes a pursuit

12:04as the suspect pulls into

12:06another section of the parking lot

12:07and additional state troopers,

12:09including Sergeant Lauren Carell, arrive.

12:12The officers don't know if LaGreed is armed or not.

12:23Hernandez takes up position behind his vehicle

12:26as McBadden calls for more backup.

12:39but then LaGreed makes a move.

13:20Sgt. Carroll and the troopers approached the truck

13:24troopers approach the truck behind a bulletproof shield.

13:40LeGreed is hit four times, twice in each leg.

13:44Until EMTs arrive, the officers move him out of the truck

13:47and begin emergency medical aid.

14:04LeGreed was treated for his injuries at the hospital,

14:07released less than a day later, and arrested.

14:10He was charged with battery with a deadly weapon on a protected person,

14:14resisting an officer, and damaged to state property.

14:17LeGreed was released on a $100,000 bond

14:20and eventually pled guilty to a felony count of battery on an officer.

14:25He was sentenced to no more than three years probation,

14:28and two years later, LeGreed was given an honorable discharge from probationary status.

14:34Next, we're in Santa Fe, New Mexico,

14:39where state police are in pursuit of a stolen vehicle driven by a wanted man.

14:46Earlier, dispatch received a 911 call from a woman

14:49who reported that her phone, keys, and SUV

14:53had just been stolen by her ex-boyfriend,

14:5639-year-old Stephen Jimenez,

14:58after they'd gotten into a verbal argument.

15:01Jimenez already had an active warrant on a recent DWI case

15:05after he violated bond by removing his GPS ankle monitor.

15:11State police officer Leticia Verran heard the call

15:15and then spotted Jimenez on a local road driving right past her.

15:19We're going to be going south on 63.

15:23We're almost to I-25.

15:25He's driving all over the road.

15:27Are there any units closer to me so I can pit him

16:04This time, almost hitting a cyclist on the side of the road.

16:15Just as Officer Verran gets back on the road,

16:18the suspect turns around and heads straight for her.

16:29As the officer regains control of her cruiser,

16:32she spots Jimenez exiting the stolen vehicle,

16:35which is now in a ditch.

16:44and begins attacking it.

17:13as he tries to steal the good citizen's truck.
