00:10and we really have never put our own touches on it.

00:13They recently went on a trip to the Amalfi Coast,

00:16and they told me that that inspired them on a different level.

00:19We're hoping 1.5 million.

00:221.5. We're bringing Italy to Vegas.

00:25Italy is not cheap.

00:27I found out that I had a pancreatic tumor.

00:30I'm three years free,

00:31which is part of the reason we were inspired to do this project.

01:30try to get some answers on why this backyard is so torn up.

01:34They apparently failed two soil tests,

01:37which is kind of unheard of.

01:39Reid and Philip have already been charged $12,000,

01:42and they're worried that this could just snowball

01:44into something way bigger.

01:55addition don't you have to pass the soil test before you get a permit? When this house was

02:00initially built they do a pad cert. They say for five feet past this house this is the soil and I

02:04verify this is the soil under that house. Okay. So you go off of that you go off core samples that

02:08they do in the front of yard. That matched here. This didn't match here or there. So in layman's

02:14terms what is the problem with this soil? It's too fun. And so how do we solve that though? Just by

02:20you have to go down deep. Because the deeper they go the more room they have to compact. And so after

02:25you've settled the dirt how long do we have to wait until the house can actually start being built?

02:29We'll be pouring next week. Once that concrete's laid we just go in we pass our inspections we move

02:34on we just keep going and going and going. Since we are in Vegas no bones found or anything like that.

02:38Demo wasn't exciting so we were hoping for a body back here. It's a million and a half dollar renovation

02:45that almost got completely derailed by dirt so we don't have any room for error and I really hope

02:52it gets solved. Reid and Phillip did not plan on doing the exterior but since everything's torn up and

03:03the soil test has been a nightmare. This is the time to do it. So I'm going to bring them to meet

03:17landscape designer. He's the top landscape designer in Vegas. He is a total creative and expert. He did

03:25my house. We're really excited about this. We've spent so many summers by the pool contemplating what to do

03:31with that backyard and never coming up with a solution so this is going to be. Well we've got

03:35some great elevation changes for you. Really? Nice. And some cool cool little areas vignettes.

03:40Are you guys ready? Okay. Wow. So it's zero level here when you come into the backyard you have this

03:49living space here. I have options of barbecue here. Trellis above with all lighting on top and then we

03:56have day beds and big fire pit area and then I raise the dirt behind this too to do some nice trees patio

04:03trees back here and then here when you're sitting here in the gym or in here this is this great back

04:09rock that looks across this way. Brilliant. Wow. So basically all the action is shifted up here. Yes. With

04:16respect to the pool. Correct. Now that looks real inviting. This will become truly like I think a fairy tale. So with that

04:25nice view out the kitchen window will that make you want to wash dishes more? No. The old roof tiles

04:34are gone. This new roof line has so much visibility. This has been a huge source of contention right? Yes. The

04:42old ones you hated. Yes. Clearly we got rid of the old ones which by the way your roof line is awesome. It is

04:49awesome. Because this looks so clean. I think the house will finally have a presence. Whether it's

04:55from the street or when you're just standing close to the house you can see the roof tiles. What do we hate

05:00about the last one? I hated the color. It was all uniform. No depth. Right. There was no depth. So we're

05:06going to choose. Let's say we're going to choose four. Okay. And then they will do the blend for us. Okay. I do

05:12not want these. I don't either. I was going to say that's my first one out. I don't want red either. I don't

05:16really want the muddy mauve. Not on either. But I want to play with these colors. Oh wow. Okay. But

05:24now we need to add depth. So let's pick like a darker tone. I like that one over there. Which one?

05:36really nice color. So all these kind of comboed. Isn't this pretty? Oh my gosh. The pink roof is gone.

07:30But then we didn't really account for the landscaping. I mean that's definitely going to put us over

07:38the budget. Well your budget for me and from the beginning never had landscape in it. So you guys

07:44didn't have landscape as part of your scope. Landscape design, anything outside was never part of the

07:56plan. So we've already purchased everything for the inside of the house. So if they don't add to

08:02their budget then I don't know how they're going to do anything outside. I am under budget with

08:08Kingdom and Company. I'm super proud of being under. Yeah. So yeah it's just uh I guess you have

08:15something we'll need to figure out how much of the landscaping we can we can do. Yeah. Go meet with

10:40It felt like half the doorway was in the shade and half was out.

10:46So were you able to cantilever it further out to get more shade here?

10:51Obviously, it's a little bit more labor and material, but it can be done.

10:55By doing this, now all your furniture sticks out how we have in the drawing and comes out a little further.

11:01And just so you know, it's not going to be a cheap change order.

11:04Joey's really pushing for this trellis to be extended, and I get it.

11:56Trevor is my fiancé, and he is just the sweetest, greatest man in the world.

12:02He and I met through a mutual friend, and the rest is history.

12:06He's a therapist, and I've been in sales for well over a decade now.

12:10Trevor and I have known that we wanted to expand our family, and we are pregnant.

12:16It happened right according to plan, and we feel extremely blessed that Zev will be a big brother in no time.

12:24I'm really anxious about it because I need to tell Allison.

12:29I just think she'll be disappointed that it's happening so soon, you know, because she's mentioned, like, a couple times, like, don't get pregnant yet.

12:37And I'm like, listen, like, you know the drill.

12:40Like, this is our timeline.

12:41But obviously, it's, like, way too soon to start telling people that we're pregnant.

12:45Like, we're not even at that three-month mark.

12:52I just, like, once I tell her, like, I feel like I have to, like, make this big decision of if I'm going to, like, leave my job and come work for her.

13:02And that's, like, way too much for me to think about right now.

13:08I'm just now getting used to being a mom.

13:13And now we're having another baby, and that's amazing, and it's a blessing.

13:16And the opportunity with Allison is a blessing.

13:21But I have to make this huge decision.

13:24It just feels really scary.

13:25What's the scariest part about it?

13:28Leaving Sev and you and putting you guys in a tough spot.

13:31I am nervous to tell Allison that I'm pregnant because no matter what she says, I know there's going to be, like, a tinge of disappointment.

13:42I know that.

13:43And she can say all she wants, like, no, no, no, it's fine.

13:47But I know she's going to be slightly disappointed at the timing, but it is what it is.

13:52It is overwhelming.

13:57And we'll navigate it just like we navigated things before we had Sev, right?

15:25so natural, and there's so many variations of it.

15:33it's going to look like at night.
