00:00New Yorkers are facing twin crises in this moment.
00:03An authoritarian administration and an affordability crisis.
00:07And it will be my job to deliver on both.
00:09I will not mince my words when it comes to President Trump.
00:12I will continue to describe his actions as they are, and I will also always do so while
00:18leaving a door open to have that conversation.
00:21I spoke about how my city hall will stand steadfast with Jewish New Yorkers in fighting
00:25the scourge of anti-Semitism across the city, and making that clear in the actions that
00:30we deliver on from January 1st.
00:43Two questions again.
00:44The first one, has the mayor or anyone invited you to City Hall?
00:47Do you have plans to go to City Hall to meet with you in the coming days?
00:50What should New Yorkers know that you were asking from Mayor Adams during the transition
00:55of the city?
00:56At a time where immigrant communities and the people I serve are under attack.
01:01As we stand here today, 1.8 million New Yorkers...
01:04When you got the news and they called the race for you last night, how did you celebrate?
01:08What did you do?
01:09What was the first thing you did?
01:10Yeah, I'm an Arsenal fan.
01:12I have to be honest, when you said you were from Sky News, I just got very excited.
01:16Could you repeat the question one more time?
01:19My message to ICE agents and to everyone across this city is that everyone will be held to
01:28the same standard of the law.
01:29If you violate the law, you must be held accountable.
01:32And there is sadly a sense that is growing across this country that certain people are
01:38allowed to violate that law, whether they be the president or whether they be the agents
01:41themselves.
01:42New Yorkers are facing twin crises in this moment, an authoritarian administration and
01:47an affordability crisis.
01:49And it will be my job to deliver on both.
01:51It will be my job to stand up for the city and also to ensure that we do not look at Washington,
01:56D.C. as if it is the reason for all of the problems right here in New York City.
02:00And I will not mince my words when it comes to President Trump.
02:04I will continue to describe his actions as they are.
02:07And I will also always do so while leaving a door open to have that conversation.
02:13Because it cannot be understood as if it is an argument between two individuals.
02:19I have not spoken to Jonathan Greenblatt.
02:21I take the issue of anti-Semitism incredibly seriously.
02:25And last night in my speech, I spoke about how my city hall will stand steadfast with Jewish
02:32New Yorkers in fighting the scourge of anti-Semitism across the city and making that clear in the
02:37actions that we deliver on from January 1st.
