00:00In New York, they're trying to elect a communist, Zoran Mamdani.
00:06This guy is a communist at the highest level, and he wants to destroy New York.
00:10I love New York, and we're not going to let him do that.
00:13Less so because of who I am, because of where I come from, because of how I look or how I speak,
00:19and more so because he wants to distract from what I fight for.
00:22I fight for working people.
00:24I fight for the very people that have been priced out of this city,
00:27and I fight for the same people that he said he was fighting for.
00:30As president of the United States, I'm proclaiming here and now
00:34that America is never going to be communist in any way, shape, form, and that intrudes to New York City.
00:42This is the same president who ran on a campaign of cheaper groceries,
00:46who ran on a campaign about easing a suffocating cost-of-living crisis.
00:50And ultimately, it is easier for him to fan the flames of division
00:53than to acknowledge the ways in which he has betrayed those working-class Americans.
00:57And as you know, recently, we've seen some of our political system attempting to overthrow
01:02the timeless American principles and other pillars of our liberty
01:06and replace them with some of the most noxious ideas in human history,
01:11ideas that have been proven false.
01:14Members of Congress and even former presidents have been openly embracing vile creeds
01:19such as socialism, Marxism, and straight-up communism.
01:23In New York, they're trying to elect a communist, Zoran Mamdani,
01:29the guy who wants to defund the police, take over the stores and run the stores,
01:35and have the people hand out goods.
01:37And when everything falls apart, it always does.
01:40It always works that way.
01:42It never has worked any other way.
01:44Anarchy and dictatorships prevail.
01:48This guy is a communist at the highest level, and he wants to destroy New York.
01:52I love New York, and we're not going to let him do that.
01:56Generations of Americans before us did not shed their blood
01:59only so that we could surrender our country to Marxist lunatics
02:03on the eve of our 250th year.
02:07As president of the United States, I'm proclaiming here and now
02:10that America is never going to be communist in any way, shape, form.
02:15And that intrudes New York City.
02:19And under my administration, we're bringing back freedom and liberty,
02:23law and order, and above all, we're bringing back common sense.
02:28Right? Common sense.
02:29Donald Trump said that I should be arrested.
02:35He said that I should be deported.
02:38He said that I should be denaturalized.
02:41And he said those things about me,
02:47someone who stands to be the first immigrant mayor of this city in generation,
02:51someone who would also be the first Muslim and the first South Asian mayor
02:54in this city's history.
02:56Less so because of who I am,
02:58because of where I come from,
03:00because of how I look or how I speak,
03:02and more so because he wants to distract from what I fight for.
03:06I fight for working people.
03:08I fight for the very people that have been priced out of this city.
03:11And I fight for the same people that he said he was fighting for.
03:14This is the same president who ran on a campaign of cheaper groceries,
03:17who ran on a campaign about easing a suffocating cost of living crisis.
03:21And ultimately, it is easier for him to fan the flames of division
03:25than to acknowledge the ways in which he has betrayed those working class Americans,
03:29not just in this city, but across this country,
03:31and the ways in which he continues to betray them.
03:33Because we know that he would rather speak about me
03:36than speak about the legislation that he is shepherding through Washington, D.C.
03:39legislation that will quite literally take health care away from Americans,
03:44legislation that will steal food from the hungry,
03:47legislation that looks to build upon one of the largest transfers of wealth
03:51we've seen in recent history in his first administration,
03:54and do it once again for the very Americans who already have enough.
03:58We should be fighting for those that do not have what they need to live a dignified life.
04:03That is what I will do.
04:05And I am thankful to have the protection and to have the support of so many New Yorkers
04:12who have stood up and said how unacceptable this is,
04:14including our governor, including members of the labor movement.
04:17And ultimately, what I fear for is that if this is what Donald Trump
04:21and his administration feel comfortable about saying
04:24about the Democratic nominee for the mayor of New York City,
04:27imagine what they feel comfortable saying and doing
04:30about immigrants whose names they don't even know.
