00:00High noon, Jones and Keefe. It's a Wednesday here on WEI, and that means it's time for Pure Hoops with Terp.
00:09Justin Turpin, WEI.com. What's up, Terp?
00:12Pure tank. Let's do it.
00:13Oh, boy.
00:14I'm only kidding.
00:15I know. I know. You're not there yet, although it does not look great.
00:18It doesn't.
00:19It's been a rough go. I mean, it's one thing you mentioned early in the season you get the Knicks or you're home against the Rockets.
00:26It's like, okay, but that Jazz game and the way they lost it, getting smoked on the boards, they can't throw in the three at all, and the Jazz aren't good, and so that was frustrating.
00:35Yeah, my biggest issue with the Jazz game is you even have Joe Missoula calling them out for their effort after the game.
00:41Like, that's unacceptable for this team, and you would think that wouldn't be a problem with this team.
00:45It's full of guys that are trying to prove themselves.
00:48In some cases, these guys are playing for what's next.
00:50You would think the one thing that you can expect night in and night out, and I get it's an 82-game season, and you're not going to have your all every night,
00:56but for this team, the one thing you would expect to be a consistent thing is their effort.
01:01And for Joe Missoula, who really steers away from calling out his players in any form publicly to the media,
01:06for him to go out and say that they got outplayed, I thought that was very telling.
01:10So you just can't have that.
01:12Obviously, there's deficiencies on this roster.
01:14It has major flaws.
01:16The one thing you can control is your effort, and for them to not do that and drop a home game when they were 10-point favorites
01:21to the Utah Jazz who were on the second night of a back-to-back, that's just not acceptable.
