00:00As lawmakers continue to respond swiftly to the needs of typhoon victims,
00:05some members of the House are turning their attention to a more detailed investigation
00:09into infrastructure issues that may have exacerbated the damage.
00:14Our Mela Lesmoras reports.
00:18House Speaker Faustino Boje D. III expressed his sympathy to our countrymen severely affected by typhoon Tino.
00:26According to Speaker D., lawmakers in the affected districts are already taking action
00:31to deliver immediate assistance and support to their constituents.
00:35He added that the House of Representatives is ready to allocate funds for programs
00:40that would help speed up the recovery of the typhoon victims and accelerate the rebuilding of their homes.
00:46House Committee on Public Accounts Chair Terry Ridon echoed Speaker D.'s statement.
00:51He also urged the Independent Commission for Infrastructure to investigate flood control projects
00:57in provinces that experience severe flooding.

01:34also called for an investigation on the alleged red flags in flood control projects
01:39in Davao City's 1st District from 2019 to 2022.
01:43He said he will file a resolution in the House regarding the matter
01:47but added that it would also be best for the ICI or the Office of the Ombudsman to look into it.
