00:00On today's Media Missed Minute, does Zoran Mamdani represent the future of the Democratic Party in the U.S.?
00:06One of the party's top leaders doesn't think so.
00:09And new ethics questions over who's paying for President Trump's new White House ballroom.
00:17I'm Craig DeGrelli, and this is your Media Missed Minute, where we highlight two stories being missed or minimized by partisan media outlets.
00:25First, a story being missed by left-leaning outlets.
00:28House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries says that while he has endorsed New York City mayoral candidate Zoran Mamdani, he doesn't see him as the future of the Democratic Party nationwide.
00:39No, I think the future of the Democratic Party is going to fall, as far as we're concerned, relative to the House Democratic Caucus and members who are doing great work all across the country as it relates to our need to both take back control of the House,
00:57but in doing so, make sure that we're communicating to the American people like we understand you deserve better than the country that you have received.
01:06Now a story being missed by the right.
01:08A new report from Ralph Nader's nonprofit Public Citizen is raising red flags about the donors behind President Trump's White House ballroom project.
01:16The group found that most of the private donors have received a combined $279 billion in federal contracts over the past five years,
01:25and more than half are under federal enforcement actions or had them suspended by the Trump administration.
