00:08on the floor of the House of Representatives. House Democrats are in the minority but continue
00:17to control the floor as if we were in the majority. Making progress on behalf of the
00:24American people, including by extending the Affordable Care Act tax credits earlier this
00:32year to protect the health care of more than 20 million Americans, by passing successfully
00:42a War Powers Resolution as part of our continuing effort to stop Donald Trump's reckless and
00:50costly War of Choice in the Middle East. No more stupid wars that make life more expensive
00:57for the American people. And then of course this week, perhaps for the first time in the
01:05history of the United States of America, the majority party was forced to pull a bill relating
01:15to veterans. Because House Democrats, led by Mark Tucano, have made clear all week that
01:22this bill doesn't benefit hardworking veterans in the United States of America. It would
01:31actually hurt them. In advance of Donald Trump's speech, let me also be clear about one thing.
01:37Donald Trump lost the 2020 presidential election. Something's really wrong with this guy. I think
01:44he actually needs to be checked out. Why does he continue to focus on a conspiracy theory
01:52related to a 2020 presidential election that every rational person in the United States of America
02:01knows he lost? And yet, instead of focusing on actually driving down the high cost of living
02:09in an economy in an economy where hardworking American taxpayers are suffocating from the affordability
02:18crisis, Donald Trump continues to peddle election conspiracy theories. House Democrats are committed to making sure
02:32that we have a free and fair election in November. And when that occurs, we're confident that we're going to
02:40take back control
02:40of the United States House of Representatives. What Republicans are doing since they were once again neutered on the floor
02:49of the House of Representatives
02:51is to advance an America last budget resolution that will actually provide $60 billion in additional taxpayer money
03:04for Donald Trump's reckless and costly war of choice in the Middle East that has left Iran in a stronger
03:12position
03:13than they were in before this reckless war started. And the American people in a weaker position economically as a
03:22result of high gas prices.
03:25And yet Republicans continue to double and triple down
03:31on Operation Epic Failure. The war
03:34in Iran has been a disaster for the American people
03:37and House Democrats will strongly oppose
03:41their America last budget
03:44resolution
03:45and fight
03:46to actually restore
03:49the devastating cuts to Medicaid
03:52and to nutritional assistance
03:54that Republicans
03:56jammed down the throats of the American people
03:59with their one big ugly bill
04:01last year.

04:57urgently
04:58and the conditions

05:01a just and lasting peace
05:03need to be acted upon

05:08and that involves
05:09surging humanitarian assistance
05:11into Gaza
05:13to alleviate the suffering
05:15of Palestinian civilians
05:17it means
05:18not just the reconstruction
05:20of Gaza
05:20but the modernization
05:22of Gaza
05:23and investing
05:24along with
05:25our partners
05:26in the Gulf states
05:27and moderate Arab nations
05:29in a path
05:31toward prosperity
05:32for the Palestinian people
05:35Hamas needs to be
05:36disarmed
05:37and completely removed
05:39from power
05:40and we need to deal

05:43the out of control
05:44settler violence
05:46that the Netanyahu administration
