00:00Authorities in Michigan say they successfully thwarted a terrorist attack over Halloween
00:05weekend. Two local men are facing charges of supplying weapons for an ISIS-like attack
00:10in the U.S. and had allegedly been scouting LGBTQ-friendly bars in a suburb of Detroit
00:15as targets. Authorities say they were inspired by the Paris attacks in 2015 that killed 130 people.
00:22Mahmed Ali and Majid Mahmood of Dearborn were allegedly planning to carry out the attack on
00:26Halloween night. Now, the criminal complaint also refers to five unidentified co-conspirators as
00:31well as a minor who was allegedly going to carry out the attack with Ali. And the plan was apparently
00:36for everyone else to flee to Syria to join ISIS. Now, investigators say they tailed the two men for
00:42weeks as they looked for targets and practiced at a local gun range. Feds raided the suspects' homes
00:47and a storage unit before any kind of gruesome attack could be carried out. Authorities say
00:53that they recovered three AR-15-style rifles, two shotguns, four pistols, more than 1,600 rounds
