Wales’ First Minister Eluned Morgan has visited a new housing development for Saundersfoot, which she says shows that the Labour Government is delivering for communities in Pembrokeshire.
Ger-y-Môr is a 72-unit development approved last year by the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park Authority.
Developers have stated that the zero-carbon ready scheme will bring a range of facilities to the local community, including an equipped play area at the heart of the site, contributions to highway and active travel upgrades, and a dedicated active travel link that connects the site back to Sandy Hill Road.
“In Saundersfoot, 25 of the new Persimmon Homes at Ger-y-Môr will be affordable, giving more local families the chance to move into secure, high quality homes,” said the First Minister.
“A new footpath will link the site to Saundersfoot’s harbour - part of our Active Travel Plan to connect new communities sustainably.
“Across Pembrokeshire, hundreds of new affordable homes are being built - part of the our mission to deliver 20,000 affordable homes across Wales, the highest on record.
“Welsh Labour, delivering for communities. Delivering for Pembrokeshire. Delivering for Wales.”

00:09because we know that people in this county are desperate for more homes, more housing, and this is what the last group is trying to deliver.
00:18We're on course, by the end of next year, to deliver 20,000 social homes in Wales.
00:24That is a remarkable achievement, highest on record, but we need to keep building, we need to make sure we've got young people the skills to build these homes
00:33and to make sure that everybody has a place where they feel safe and comfortable.
