The government plans to build thousands of new homes around England’s train, tram and underground stations, under new planning rules. 00:07to revamp our planning system to ensure it's meeting housing need in full and it's unleashing economic growth.
00:13And the new framework we've published today sets out national policy, if you like, in a clearer, more comprehensive fashion
00:18and includes a number of substantive reforms,
00:20including where suitable proposals come forward for development on land around train or tram stations, that the response should be
00:28a default yes and in principle yes to those proposals,
00:32because these are some of the most sustainable locations for new homes and development in the country.
