00:30Hundreds of riot police were deployed on Sunday as anti-government protesters clashed with loyalists of Serbia's President Aleksandr Vucic outside the Serbian Parliament building in Belgrade.
00:43Tensions soared a day after tens of thousands of people joined a huge rally in the northern city of Novi Sad that marked the first anniversary of a train station disaster there which killed 16 people.
00:55The disaster triggered a youth-led movement demanding political changes which has challenged Vucic's grip on power.
01:03The protesters gathered in support of the mother of one of the Novi Sad station tragedy victims who said she was launching a hunger strike near a tent camp outside the Parliament building which has been occupied by Vucic's loyalists since March.
01:17She said she was seeking accountability for the death of her son and the 15 other victims.
01:23She has also demanded that all detained protesters be released and that Vucic schedule an early parliamentary election as sought by the university students at the forefront of the demonstrations.
01:35Both police and Vucic on Sunday accused anti-government protesters of attacking his supporters' camp.
01:41Protesters said most incidents were caused from within the camp.

02:11Two men were arrested when armed police responded to the scene at Huntington Station where the train made an emergency stop.
02:19The two men who remain in police custody were identified as 32- and 35-year-old British nationals born in the UK of Black Caribbean descent.
02:28They were arrested on suspicion of attempted murder.
02:31There was quite a few people coming through, and one of the people that were coming through had my headphones on, then heard them say,
02:42they've got a knife, I've been stabbed.
02:45The train departed Doncaster and was en route to London when the attack occurred.
02:50Investigations into the incident are still ongoing as police look to discover the motivations behind the attack.
02:55Nigeria is on the edge over a long-standing controversial subject of Christian persecution and genocide alongside the threats of military action from U.S. President Donald Trump.
03:10They're killing record numbers of Christians.
03:12Many residents are reacting to the news of Trump's order to the Pentagon to begin planning for potential military action to deal with the decades-long problem.
03:21If it will end in security, we welcome it.
03:25If it will help to safeguard our communities, we welcome it.
03:29I think that we are at a level where terrorism is now a global problem, and our communities don't feel safe.
03:35And so if we have support from outside coming to say, we want to work with you to help stem the tide, I think we should buy it.
03:43This is something that we should welcome, frankly.
03:45According to Amnesty International, more than 10,000 people have been killed in jihadist attacks across central and northern Nigeria in the two years since President Bolatinebu took office.
03:59For Trump, this is about Christian genocide.
04:04For many Nigerians, it is an issue that's far more complex.
04:08According to analysts, while Christians are often systematically targeted, the majority of victims of armed groups are Muslims in Nigeria's Muslim-majority north, where most attacks occur.

06:03Due to weather conditions, the operations were suspended during the night and on Sunday, rescue operations resumed and two other bodies were recovered.
06:11Two men survived the accident and were airlifted to a nearby hospital in Bolzano.
06:33According to a spokesperson for the mountain rescue team, there was actually no particularly high avalanche risk on Saturday.
06:42It is possible that the avalanche came loose because of newly fallen snow that had not yet sufficiently bonded to the ground.
06:48The European Union's progress ahead of this year's climate summit COP30 was considered, quote, disappointing by experts.
07:00The bloc failed to present its new NDCs ahead of the climate change summit.
07:05The NDC stands for nationally determined contributions, which are essentially a country's goals on how they will reduce greenhouse gas emissions and adapt to climate change in line with the Paris Agreement.
07:17These targets are updated periodically and traditionally submitted in advance to allow more time for analysis and debate.
07:26There was a expectation from the presidency of the Brazilian COP of the presidency of that more NDCs would be presented during the pre-COP.
07:36Some were, but some were indicated, especially the absence of the EU.
07:44There is no way to solve the climate equation of the planet only with some countries.
07:51Either everyone is in the game or we will not be able to solve the problem.
07:55In an interview with Euronews, the executive director of the Amazon Environmental Research Institute criticized the bloc's progress, which was limited to just the release of a declaration of intent.
08:08European leaders promised to present the NDCs during COP30 held in november in Brazil and assured that member states are on the right track to meet emission reduction targets.
08:19I think that despite the uncertainties, the planet has to move forward.
08:24The climate change will not stop and wait for the war to end or wait for the definition of tariffs to happen to demonstrate its strength.
08:34The strength of the climate change is already being demonstrated in the form of incendios, in the form of dryness, in the form of rains, in the form of uncertainty for the investments.
08:44The UN released a report this week reviewing the 64 NDCs that had been delivered by September.
