00:10The U.S. military and Iran exchanged new strikes overnight as Kuwait says its airport was hit by Iranian drones
00:17causing significant damage.
00:20Spain is hosting one of the major military exercises organized by the EU which has brought together some 2,500
00:27military personnel.
00:31Ukrainian drones struck energy and military sites in St. Petersburg as officials gathered for Russia's annual economic forum.
00:39Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said the Ukrainian military targeted an oil terminal in the city as well as an enterprise
00:46that produces Russian weapons.
00:48Russian authorities also confirmed that several of its infrastructure facilities were struck in three districts.
00:55It comes a day after Russia launched a massive drone and missile attack at Ukraine, killing at least 23 and
01:02wounding over 100 people.
01:04Every one of these drones, all types of Russian rockets, can't be produced without components that are brought from other
01:14countries.
01:15That is, in every one of these attacks is, maybe even not aware, but still a part of the participation
01:23of those who work in Russia.
01:25Zelensky warned Russia is preparing for another large-scale attack on Ukraine and urged allies to toughen its sanctions against
01:32Moscow.
01:33The Ukrainian leader also called on Washington to supply additional Patriot interceptors, which can intercept Russia's ballistic missiles.
01:45The U.S. and Iran exchanged new strikes overnight into Wednesday in their war following a stall in ceasefire talks
01:54and negotiations.
01:55The U.S. military said it launched strikes on an Iranian facility in response to strikes on Kuwait and Bahrain,
02:03which failed to hit their targets.
02:06According to the U.S. Central Command, two of those fired at Kuwait fell apart en route while U.S.
02:13and Bahrainian forces intercepted the missiles aimed at Bahrain.
02:17But Kuwait's army later said Iranian drones had hit its international airport, causing, quote, significant building damage and injuries to
02:27a number of people.
02:28The U.S. Central Command said it responded with strikes in an Iranian military ground control station in the Strait
02:35of Hormuz.
02:36The latest attacks come amid stalled ceasefire negotiations between the U.S. and Iran, with hopes dampening over the weekend,
02:43after Tehran stopped communicating with mediators, reportedly, over Israeli military action to Lebanon.
02:50On Tuesday, U.S. President Donald Trump disputed reports that negotiations had stopped, claiming they were ongoing and continuing.
03:02Israeli threats to strike Hezbollah's strongholds in Beirut have been temporarily put on hold following talks between the Lebanese government
03:10and the United States.
03:12Lebanese MPs, Lebanese MP Hassan Hasbani told Heron News. Yet, the former Deputy Prime Minister believes this agreement would be
03:19limited in scope.
03:21I don't trust any side to stop anything because Hezbollah effectively is an Iranian faction on Lebanese territory dictated that
03:29the actions are being largely dictated
03:32by the war that's ongoing today, and they are effectively a militarized force outside
03:39the Lebanese government's control on the Eastern Mediterranean, controlled by Iran,
03:43and they are at war with Israel.
03:47He stressed the Lebanese state is trying to de-escalate and avert further destruction
03:53in Lebanon.
03:56Today, it is about how can the Lebanese government control all of its territory and establish
04:02its sovereignty with the help of its supporting countries and to control the decision on war
04:09and peace so that we can avoid such a situation happening in the future where militarized factions
04:15on Lebanese territory can pull the trigger at any point in time and drag Lebanon into
04:20a war with Israel again.
04:21Meanwhile, fighting continues between the Hezbollah and Israel in southern Lebanon.
04:32Spain is currently hosting one of the major military exercises organized by the European
04:38Union.
04:39Mile X-26, a series of maneuvers, has brought together some 2,500 military personnel from
04:4513 countries in Zaragoza to test the European Union's rapid deployment capability in the
04:51event of an international crisis.
04:54The exercises aim to assess whether the European Union is prepared to mobilize forces in a coordinated
05:01manner and act swiftly in emergency situations.
05:04The exercises are being conducted at various levels of command, from the planning centers in
05:09Brussels to the units deployed on the ground.
05:12Spain is leading the European Union battle group, participating in the exercises.
05:16Among the resources deployed are leopard tanks, armored vehicles, drones, helicopters, and units specialized
05:24in intelligence, electronic warfare, and medical support.
05:33Thousands of people took to the streets of Tirana, Albania's capital on Monday to protest against a
05:39luxury resort project linked to US President Donald Trump's son-in-law Jared Kushner.
05:45Affinity Partners, owned by Kushner, wants to turn the coastal wetland area into a huge resort.
05:53The project is planned to be built on several hectares of the protected Viozernata coastal landscape and
06:00on the uninhabited Adriatic island of Sazan.
06:05Albanian anti-corruption prosecutors say they are investigating the project after environmental
06:10NGOs have long raised concerns that it could threaten the area's biodiversity and disrupt bird
06:18migration routes.
06:20Albania's Prime Minister, Eddie Rama, who earlier confirmed talks with Kushner over the deal that
06:25includes 10,000 hotel rooms, told lawmakers on Monday that the project does not encroach on a protected
06:32wildlife reserve.
06:34Rama said the final proposal has yet to be submitted and the environmental study done was not complete.
06:44With just days left before elections on Sunday, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan is walking a tight
06:51rope balancing his pro-West push with efforts to avoid an escalating clash with Russia.
06:57He responded to the Russian-led Eurasian Economic Union's call for an Armenian referendum on the country's
07:04pro-Western EU-line path saying that the moment for such a choice has not yet arrived.
