00:00Marking a decade of progress in Malaysia's future of work movement, the Life at Work Awards, or LAWA 2025, celebrated outstanding employers who are redefining how the nation works, with flexibility, inclusivity, and sustainability at the core.
00:18It was hosted by Talent Corp, the strategic think tank under the Human Resources Ministry, or KASUMA. Minister Stephen Simchikyong said this year's awards, carrying the theme, Driving Inclusivity, Powering Sustainability, reflected Malaysia's Madani vision, where progress is defined not only by profit, but by purpose.
00:37Human dignity underlies our goal here in KASUMA. I always say my aspiration is very simple as a minister of labour, of manpower, that every worker in Malaysia will be able to go to work in an honourable condition, and that they receive a dignified compensation, and at the end of every hard day at work, they will be able to go home safely to their family and loved ones.
01:06The Life at Work Awards, LAWA, celebrate this spirit.
01:12Talent Corp Chairperson Wong Shuchi said that over the past decade, the awards have evolved into a national movement, recognising organisations that make work more human.
01:21Behind every submission lies a story of innovation, inclusion, and leadership.
01:29Of a mother returning to the workforce.
01:32Of a manager learning to lead differently.
01:35Of teams discovering that caring for people and driving results can in fact happen together.
01:44This year, 266 organisations submitted 719 entries across 13 award categories, a 33% increase from 2024.
01:56New categories, Future Ready University and College, Future Ready School, and Changemakers reflect Malaysia's whole-of-nation approach to inclusivity and lifelong learning.

02:49And it's definitely, we have been doing a lot of good practices based on our People First strategy, that we always put our employees and Mercedes-Benz as our most priority.
02:58And based on that, we have done quite a bit of initiatives.
03:01And I think it's time for us to also showcase that we are a great place and a great organisation to work for in Malaysia.
03:08More than 750 guests attended the ceremony, including Kesuma Secretary-General Datuk Azman Mohamad Yusuf, senior government officials, industry leaders, and awards participants.
