00:00So my biological mom told her whole family that I was stillborn whenever I was born, which is crazy.
00:06She always knew she was adopted, but never knew how crazy the story was.
00:10So my mom and dad looking for a baby.
00:13When I say mom and dad, I'm referring to my adopted parents trying to adopt because my mom couldn't have kids anymore.
00:17She was a little older and had some health issues.
00:20My mom started going to this psychic, went to this random address that this psychic gave,
00:24and they walk into this like warehouse.
00:26And there's this big meeting where people were kind of like sharing their problems.
00:28So this white, like Italian, Polish woman raised her hand and she was like,
00:34Hey, so I'm white. I married a white guy. I have three white kids.
00:38But I cheated on my husband with a black guy and now I'm pregnant and I'm going to have this mixed baby.
00:43And my family says, um, so I want to give the baby up for adoption. I don't know what to do.
00:49And then my mom and dad looked at each other and they were like, holy sh**, there's our baby.
00:53And it was me.
00:54Despite this, Alicia couldn't help but be interested by her biological parents.
00:59Well, what's even crazier is that she said that her family members and friends were sending like balloons and flowers and stuff,
01:07grieving the loss of her stillborn.
01:09But meanwhile, she gave me up for adoption to my parents.
01:13She found out her biological mom's story when she first met her at 18.
01:17Prior to meeting her, I had prepared a long list of questions to ask her.
01:20Questions ranging from why did you give me up for adoption?
01:23What was your pregnancy like with me?
01:24Do you have any medical conditions, et cetera, et cetera?
01:27And one of the questions on that list was, what did you tell your loved ones?
01:30What happened to me?
01:31She looked at me and she was like, well, I told them that you'd give birth.
01:35Did it break my heart in regards to me?
01:37No, that did not change the 18 years of my life at that point at all.
01:40But what did break my heart is that she had to carry that with her for the past 18 years of her life.
01:46But there's another person in this story that Alicia needed to find.
01:49So this is how I told my biological father that I was his daughter, even though he had no idea I exist.
01:54So I ended up finding him on white pages and I typed in his name because I knew his name and all these different names popped up.
02:01And the one I clicked on, for some reason, I was like, this is him.
02:05This is it.
02:05A hundred percent.
02:06So I texted him and I said, hi, is this Kenny Morgan?
02:08And he literally responds, who's asking?
02:11And I was like, oh, God.
02:12And I told him that I had been put up for adoption by my birth mother and I shared her name.
02:17And then I went ahead and I sent a picture of her and I.
02:20And then he responds to me and he goes, yes, that is my birth mother's name.
02:26And yes, I am that Kenny Morgan.
02:29And I was like, oh, my God, this is it.
02:32I finally found my biological father.
02:34And he said, this is a lot to process right now, but I would love to hop on a FaceTime call with you in the next week or so.
02:40And I totally understood and respecting that.
02:42Her adoptive parents have always been so kind to Alicia's biological parents, even giving her mom updates every six months.
02:49And since finding them, Alicia has seen her biological mom and dad several times.
02:54Her story has so many twists, but she's proud to be an adopted child and wouldn't change it for the world.
