00:00I trusted a board-certified plastic surgeon who left me absolutely botched.
00:05I dreamed for the day I would finally have my skin removal surgery after losing almost 200 pounds.
00:10Never did I imagine that these would be my results. Recently, I have lost 113 pounds. I'm
00:18just over three months out from my gastric bypass surgery and I've worked my butt off.
00:22A lot of people have judged me for this. I have literally lost a whole adult person and I feel
00:29so good. Removing her excess skin was supposed to be a celebration of how far she'd come,
00:34but instead, it became her worst nightmare. Unfortunately, when I was in recovery,
00:39I immediately pointed out that I knew something was abnormal. Now, swelling is normal, but when
00:45you have what I was left with, I made sure to get it documented because it did not look normal at all.
00:51All skin was not removed. I was told this would be placed, this would be pulled in, and all this
00:57would be gone. This was only the beginning of a long, painful fight to get justice for what her
01:03surgeon had done to her. The way I've been left is not okay, and this is a botched job. I trusted a
01:09surgeon who told me that I would be flat. As you can see, I'm not. I was originally just going to do
01:14a paniculectomy, which is the apron of overhang, but they talked me into doing the vertical and
01:20horizontal incision. This is what I've been left with. What even is my belly button? It's awful.
01:26I was made to believe that I was having a fleur-de-lis tummy tuck, a paniculectomy,
01:31a belly button relocation, and a pubic lift. I was told if I did the cosmetic upgrade,
01:35I would be totally flat. Instead of helping her, her surgeon made things worse, and getting them to
01:41take responsibility would prove almost impossible. After being botched, I expected my initial surgeon
01:47to go above and beyond to correct the situation. I was told that if I wanted a revision, I would
01:52have to pay out of pocket because the job was, according to her, properly done, and that I am
01:59having body dysmorphia. It is an almost $20,000 procedure. There was no meeting in the middle
02:07with that practice. This needs to be fixed. But then, a miracle occurs. After seeing her story
02:12online, a surgeon reaches out and offers to correct Victoria's botched surgery for free.
02:18It's happening. He said that what his plan for me would be is a corset trunkplasty, and he's going
02:25to go ahead and do the surgery. I can't believe it. It's been over three weeks since my botched
02:32plastic surgery was corrected. I'm healing very well, thankfully. Super tired. Wearing my Faha
02:39compression garment 24-7 aside from showering. And I'm so excited for my next procedure in April.
02:45The finishing touches on this are going to be amazing. I am just over a week post-op,
02:50and he finished my botched surgery detailing. He went under the armpit area and got some skin there
02:59that we were going to get the first time, but he didn't want me on the table over five hours.
03:03I'm super swollen right now, but he has killed it once again.
