01:00Vice President of Operations for Shelby American here in Las Vegas and we're here to show you our latest toy the SSR.
01:06Yes, that stands for Super Snake but we've put an R on it.
01:13That means we've done a lot more to this car.
01:15We started with the dark horse.
01:17We gave you the transmission you've been asking for.
01:19We gave you all the track options you've been looking for.
01:22Everything from a wide body C, coilover suspension, lots of carbon fiber.
01:28We've actually given you some downforce on the car and we put it all into a package that is just stupendous and we can't wait for you to see this car.
01:39So, let's start under the hood.
01:41We're going to give you 850 plus horsepower.
01:44Starting with a 5.0, we do a 3.2 Whipple supercharger on it.
01:48To put that power to the ground, what do you got to do?
01:51You got to get some tires back there.
01:53335s in the back, 305s up front.
01:55These rims here are magnesium.
01:57They're lighter than the carbon rims that are on the market right now.
02:00This car handles like a dream.
02:02It's so much fun.
02:07So, if you do a coilover to your intercooler wells, it's going to be soft.
02:11We had to tighten that up.
02:12So when we did the harness bar on it, we did a special bar that went across the back, tied the whole thing into the chassis so it stiffens the whole back of the car up.
02:20We're very excited about that.
02:22Let's move to the front.
02:23Front COI lovers, cast camber plates.
02:26Not just normal caster camber plates, a race caster camber plate.
02:29You're able to put all the front end you want in this car.
02:32We start looking at all the different components in line.
02:37Aluminum drive shaft, 1000 horsepower axles.
02:41We've taken out all the bushings in the rear suspension and we put in all the ball joints in there.
02:45But you take it to the track and it outperforms everything that's out there.
02:49Same with the front suspension.
02:51We've changed all the bushings on the front suspension.
02:53Went to ball joints on everything up in the front.
02:55So, we've really tightened this car up.
02:58Everything has been set up for performance.
03:00We've added some carbon fiber on the intakes.
03:02You know, one thing that's unique on the Super Snake of many other Mustangs out there is we're actually open on both sides.
03:09We've relocated a few things underneath there.
03:11We've made it to where it's more track applicable.
03:14So, when we go to the back, we see a carbon fiber wing.
03:17It's the same wing that we ran on the Super Snake,
03:19but we've actually extended the pedals on it to where we get a little more downforce in the back of the car.
03:24When we did the bigger splitter in the front, we want to balance this car out.
03:28Try to bring it down exactly equal.
03:30When you look at the rear diffuser, you see how open the back of it is.
03:33We have a diff on this car.
03:35We want to make sure that air is pumped right through there.
03:37So, if you run down the side skirt of the car, you come to a nice fin.
03:42You look inside, there's actually aero bars on the inside right there that connect it.
03:46They actually match the front wings that come out for the front ducting for the front fenders.
03:51Now the back of the tire.
03:53We had a lot of talk before on some of our white body cars.
03:56We were getting some chips and stuff like that.
03:58We got so much tire hanging, so we came up with a nice stone guard that goes down the back.
04:03Not only that, it cleans up the Intraffendo beautifully and it blends in very nicely with the rear diffuser.
04:12This car here is dressed right now with one of our performance stripes.
04:16We also dress them with the regular standard Super Snake stripe.
04:19So the guy that's a traditionalist wants to have that nice Super Snake look.
04:24We offer that too.
04:26This is for the guy that wants something a little bit more.
04:33Every car is going to come with the rear seat delete.
04:36The front seats are dressed within Alcaterra.
04:38You move to the center.
04:39We got a new shift ball with Alcaterra on the ball.
04:42And you know what?
04:43The most important part of this car, you got your CSM number right there on the dashboard.
04:47Ties you into the Shelby registry.
04:49The cool thing about it is you're able to drive this car every day and have a lot of fun.
04:54But when you go to the track, the only thing you're going to see is the back of the SSR.
