00:00Welcome to the video from the Auto Magazine Tuning Blog, where today we're going to be
00:10focusing on the new Mustang RT. You can find the link to read the article in our magazine
00:16in the video description. Two Mustangs were unveiled at the media preview of the 2025
00:23Detroit Auto Show. In addition to the Mustang GTD Spirit of America, which was showcased
00:29with striking drifts and donuts, the new Mustang RTR also attracted all eyes. And yes, it is this
00:37very RTR, but not an aftermarket model from Warner Giddon Jr.'s tuning company. This vehicle is
00:43manufactured directly by Ford in Michigan. The special thing under the hood of the Mustang RT
00:48is not a V8, but a modern EcoBoost engine. Warner Giddon Jr. describes it as the most advanced,
00:56accessible, and fun Mustang EcoBoost ever. However, it is still a prototype at the moment,
01:03so few details are known. What is certain, however, is that the RTR will adopt components from the
01:11Mustang Dark Horse, including impressive Brembo brakes, an anti-lax system for the turbocharger
01:16and RTR-specific design cues such as a distinctive grille design. Joe Bellino, Mustang brand manager,
01:24emphasized that when it comes to driving fast or pure driving fun, Ford gives Mustang fans the right
01:29tools. In addition to secondary functions such as Drift Brake, Lionel and Mustang Unleashed,
01:37the new RT will also be equipped with innovative features to maximize driving fun.
01:42RT has been working with Ford for years, but this model marks a new era.
01:46The Mustang RTR will be developed directly by Ford and will be available as a standalone trim level
01:53through Ford dealers. This is only the second time in Ford history that a high-performance vehicle
01:59has been developed and mass-produced in collaboration with an external partner.
02:05V. Giddon Jr., president and founder of RTR, is excited.
02:08I am incredibly proud to create the most exciting turbocharged Mustang model ever.
02:16The Mustang RT combines Mustang Dark Horse components, the near-perfect weight distribution
02:21of the Mustang EcoBoost and the unmistakable R-Time.
02:26It's perfect for drifting, drag racing, leisurely country road trips or hot laps on an autocross course.
02:33Ford hasn't revealed when the Mustang RTR final will be unveiled,
02:37but the prototype will be on display at the 2025 Detroit Auto Show,
02:41which runs from January 11 to 20.
