00:05And here I'm going to introduce the all-new Mac Anthem.
00:08It sets the standard in regional trucking.
00:12Centered around the driver, it provides best-in-class comfort, safety, performance, and total cost of ownership.
00:18Our Mac Anthem comes in four different cab configurations.
00:21You have a low-roof day-cab, mid-roof sleeper available in 44 and 64 in lengths, as well as a day-cab rigid truck.
00:32Now, we're going to talk about the comforts inside the sleeper and cab environment.
00:36It starts with our Mac app.
00:39It'll give you information about important fluids like diesel, def, coolant, and other parts.
00:46In addition, you can preset the temperature inside the cab fob, too.
00:51It'll have features like a pre-trip light switch to activate those lights without having to go inside the cab to start.
00:59Also, there's a remote start activation.
01:02So on those cold winter days or hot summer days, you can start the engine and get the climate to where you want it.
01:08Let's check out inside.
01:12Welcome to the newly designed Mac Anthem.
01:15It sets the standard for driving comfort.
01:17We have fully lined doors, pockets, cup holders, and a puddle light so you can see when it's dark.
01:23Standard features include power door locks, power windows, power heated mirrors.
01:30We have these two extra grab handles for that third point of contact.
01:34Let's check out inside.
01:35All of the standard driver seats in the new Mac Anthem are air ride seats.
01:43For the passenger, the standard seats are mechanically bolted to the floor.
01:47Of course, you can opt to have that as an air seat, too.
01:52Our seats come in a variety of trim from vinyl to cloth to Mordor to leather.
01:57The visibility out the windshield is excellent to help you navigate those tight corridors.
02:01Here is our newly designed dash.
02:05It's got automotive styling with the function of a Mac truck.
02:08All the controls are at your fingertips so the driver can focus on the road ahead.
02:13There are three different trim levels available.
02:16This is the comfort trim which is the dark Air Force gray with black accents.
02:21The next level is preferred, so it has the dark Air Force gray color with gunmetal accents,
02:26including that inside the steering wheel.
02:28The Elite trim is a dark saddle color, wood green accents, premium materials,
02:35and that gunmetal trim on the steering wheel itself.
02:39Speaking of the steering wheel, here is our flat bottom steering wheel.
02:43It allows drivers of all sizes to get in and out comfortably.
02:47It has tilt and telescoping adjustments for the optimal driving position.
02:51And there's an option for a third adjustment, the steering wheel will tilt.
02:55On the steering wheel itself, it's got controls for sound, cruise, as well as phone controls.
03:02On the right, we've got our Salat display controls.
03:05It gives you information about fuel economy, service and maintenance, as well as your trip information.
03:11We have a 12-inch primary information display replacing our traditional dashboard.
03:18You have different views that you can accentuate through there and cycle through that to optimize your driving experience.
03:24We have a sun visor that you can pull down over the driver's seat.
03:30The stock to the left, well that's going to control our turn signals and wipers.
03:34Rain sensing wipers are now an option.
03:37The stock to the right that controls our power leash engine brake.
03:40You have low, medium, and high settings depending on your needs.
03:44This also controls our transmission.
03:46So the M-Drive transmission can be in drive, neutral, or reverse.
03:51And for the premium option, you have the ability to go from automatic to manual and you can push and pull to change gears.
03:59You also have a mode selector by default.
04:01It's in economy mode and you can select to have it in performance plus say you're loaded and are going through hill terrain.
04:06On top, we've got storage power outlets for convenient accessories.
04:15And here we've got our 9-inch secondary information display.
04:19Gives you information about radio, heating and air, as well as some other apps.
04:24The standard radio is AM, FM, Bluetooth, and satellite.
04:28The premium radio includes Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, backup camera, and navigation.
04:33Below that, we've got controls for heating and air, and this truck now has electronic air brakes.
04:41They deactivate when you switch to drive.
04:44It's awesome.
04:46Up top, we've got backlit laser etched toggle switches, and you can reconfigure those without having to visit a dealer.
04:53On the bottom, we've got cup holders and storage and a place to secure your salon.
04:58It's also an option to have induction charging as well.
05:01Off to the right, we've got a panel to mount your eld instead of having to drill into the dash.
05:08Moving on to the sleeper, we've got a lot of stretch-out room here.
05:12The height on our mid-roof is over 7 feet high and we have two different bunk configurations.
05:20You can have an upper bunk that swings up.
05:22It's got straps in a cargo bed as well.
05:25If you opt for a single bunk, that's there for storage.
05:29On the bottom, you can opt for a standard mattress or a premium mattress.
05:32And you can also opt for a second option, a 7030 split rear bed.
05:38That way you can lounge in style when you're relaxing off the road.
05:44Cabinetry.
05:44Behind the driver's side seat, we've got a cabinet for a wardrobe.
05:48Aircraft-style upper storage as well on both sides.
05:52We also have prep kits available for refrigerator, microwave, and TV.
05:56And if you want, Mac can provide that refrigerator for you.
06:01There's a control panel in the back to control heating, light, as well as stereo.
06:07And with that said, there's cab heating, engine heating, without having to run your diesel engine.
06:14Privacy is simple.
06:15You can have a blackout curtain between the sleeper and the cab, as well as curtains that go over each door.
06:21What separates the Mac Anthem as a regional haul truck is the fact that it's got a sloped hood.
06:27It allows for the bumper-to-back-of-cab measurement to shorten to 113 and, in roughly a foot shorter than Mac Pioneer.
06:36It also allows a 4 inches shorter bumper-to-front axle measurement allowing for better turning in those tight confounds at the city street.
06:44It also has a 50 degrees turning radius allowing for better agility when backing.
06:50Also with the Macanthem, we have the ability to change aerodynamics.
06:54You can opt to remove the chassis fairing as well as the air dam allowing for a greater ride height to navigate those city streets, potholes, curbs, and rugged terrain.
07:04In addition, we have aerodynamic efficiency when you do add those bits.
07:11New Macan is almost 10% more fuel-efficient than the Anthem it laces.
07:15Starting with the top, we have an aerodynamic roof cap delivering air up and over the trailer.
07:23That shape transfers down to the windshield.
07:26It's nicely sloped not only to cut through the air, but also increases the visibility, helping you navigate those tight confines.
07:32That shape continues to go down through our sloped hood.
07:36It's made of a composite material, no longer fiberglass.
07:40It's lighter, stronger, and has better paint adhesion.
07:44We have a large radiator opening which allows maximum cooling to cool the engine and its components without having to engage the radiator fan.
07:51And another neat design element, of course, we've got our MacWord DMK.
07:56It's supported by these bridge icons.
08:00Brooklyn Bridge
08:01If you didn't know, Mac was founded in 1900 in Brooklyn, New York.
08:08Our hood is made of a three-piece design to help you save money in case of an accident.
08:13You may only have to replace the damaged component, not the entire assembly.
08:17Between the hood and the bumper, we've got a close-out flange directing air along the side.
08:24And with our new Mac Anthem, the bumper is now metal.
08:27You can opt to have different trim color choices, too.
08:32The bumper, grille, as well as the door handles and the air inlets can be graphite or chrome.
08:39The Mac Anthem also sets the standard for safety with Mac Protect.
08:44It's our collision mitigation solution.
08:46It combines camera, radar, and braking to help keep drivers safe.
08:51First, it's got frontal collision and rollover assistance.
08:55It also has adaptive cruise control.
08:59It has automatic emergency braking, pedestrian detection, road sign detection, as well as front airbags.
09:05The second level of our Mac Protect is to the side of the truck.
09:12It's going to give you blind spot assistance, lane departure assistance, side pedestrian assistance, as well as a first in the industry, and optional side curtain airbags for the driver and the passenger.
09:22The third part of our Mac Connect, it's going to give you some adaptive features.
09:28It's going to auto lane center as well as give you oversteer guidance with our Command Steer.
09:33All of the lights on our Mac Anthem are LED lights, including our headlights.
09:40If you look at our daytime running lights, when you combine them together, it forms the letter M so, they're brighter than your standard halogen lights.
09:50They have Lexan covering to minimize the chance for cracks and chips, and they're heated for the colder climates.
09:55Additionally, we have LED fog lights and cornering lights to help you see through those corners.
10:03Moving back, we've got a high-strength welded steel cab.
10:07It's galvanized to prevent corrosion in steel because it's strong, it surpasses all say rollover tests.
10:14Here we have aerodynamic side mirrors.
10:17They're available in black, body color, or chrome.
10:20They have breakaway construction, so in case of an impact, it's less likely to damage the doors.
10:25There's also an option for a digital mirror system.
10:29The swing arms at the top will be able to capture video going down the sides of the truck as well as along the side too.
10:36It improves visibility and it has different hash marks on the screens positioned on the A-pillars to help you see that distance.
10:43Mac recommends three points of contact getting in and out of our trucks.
10:47The handles are now located inside the doors and we have these aluminum offset steps.
10:52These steps are positioned like the stairs in your house to make it easier to get in and come out without having a fall.
11:00All of our cabs ride on airbag suspensions.
11:03With Mac, you get dual airbags positioned wide to increase that comfort.
11:09Here we've got our chassis fairing.
11:11This is an optional component.
11:13On our own Mac Anthem.
11:14Without this chassis fairing, you increase your ride height, helping navigate those city streets, curbs, and rough terrain.
11:21With these chassis fairings, it's going to improve that aerodynamics as well.
11:26Behind this fairing, we've got our battery packs and air tanks.
11:29With the new Mac Anthem, we've got a 24-volt system as well as a super capacitor to help power the truck.
11:35As we move back, we'll talk about the sleeper area we have here.
11:40We've got a standard pop-out window with a privacy shield inside.
11:44We have a compartmental storage right there that can be accessed with a switch inside the door handle.
11:50Between the sleeper and the fairings, we've got a close-out flange directing air along the side.
11:55Behind this chassis fairing, we've got our D-shaped diesel tanks.
11:59They're D-shaped to maximize capacity in a smaller shape.
12:02Capacity is up to 150 gallons.
12:08You have optional air-ground effects, optional side fairing extensions, as well as a flow below system in the rear axles and wheel covers to maximize aerodynamics.
12:19That's all an option.
12:20As we continue to move back, we're going to talk about behind the cab.
12:25We have the aluminum offset steps to help you access that catwalk.
12:28Behind the tractor, we've got LED lights so you can see between the tractor and the trailer.
12:35The backbone of our new Mac Anthem is our chassis.
12:39It's our Advantage chassis and it's made of high-strength low-alloy steel.
12:44It's got a yield strength of 120,000 PSI and is application-specific.
12:49There are six different wheelbases available from 15 to 19 feet long.
12:55So depending on your needs, we can accommodate.
12:58On the other side, we talk about axles and suspension.
13:02Our Mac Anthem is configured as a 6x4.
13:05We have two other options, including a 6x2, making those a lift axle.
13:10When those are manufactured by Mac, you can include those lift axles in our warranty.
13:15The other configuration you can have is a 4x2.
13:19The drive shaft is nearly straight which means there's less parasitic loss, less stress on the U-joints, better bearing and seal life to extend the life of your Mac axles.
13:28All of our carriers have power dividers and that means that it can move up to 75% of the power from axle to axle and wheel to wheel, giving the power to the wheels that have the most grip.
13:41On to suspensions.
13:43The standard suspension for our Mac Anthem is an air suspension called Max Lite.
13:48It's a four-airbag system with the load capacity up to 46,000.
13:53We have an all-air ride suspension called Max Ride.
13:56It is now an eight-airbag system, less noise, vibration and harshness.
14:01We have other options from Hendrickson and other axles from Dana and Meritor.
14:07As we move forward, we have downcast mirrors to help you see eliminating those blind spots, improving that visibility.
14:15They also have a downcast digital mirror as well and it can signal with the right-hand signal to activate that camera.
14:22So let's talk about the MP13 engines.
14:26First of all, they're a 13L diesel engine and they're 3% more fuel efficient than the engine it replaces.
14:33The first is a variable geometry turbo.
14:37It's going to maximize power at the different rev ranges up to 515 horsepower and 1,900 pounds-feet of torque.
14:44What that means is it takes the heat from the exhaust, transfers that to torque for the engine.
14:57So you get more power with less effort.
15:01Power range is up to 505 horsepower, 1,950 pounds-feet of torque.
15:06There is an M-Drive HD version for those rigid models.
15:11Now, the engine and the transmission are going to be mounted below the frame rails as it widens.
15:17It's done so for stability and for safety.
15:19In the unlikely event of a frontal collision, the engine and transmission will drop, keeping your driver and crew safe.
15:27As you can see here, we've got a lot of space for pre-trip inspection and maintenance.
15:34We have splash shields here which is going to keep the engine bay and its components clean and free of salt, debris, and moisture.
15:42Moving down we have our axles.
