00:00Welcome to the video from the Car Magazine Tuning Blog.
00:03Today we're talking about the S25 Sunlight Ibex 4x4.
00:07A near-production concept car that shows how incompromising modern off-road camping can look.
00:13Anyone who still thinks of plush awnings and power outlets by the lake when they think of camping will be rudely taken out of their comfort zone by the new Ibex 4x4 based on the VW Crafter.
00:23With all-wheel drive, automatic transmission and 163 horsepower, the camper feels right at home where others have long since capitulated.
00:33It doesn't look like a show car to be admired, but rather like a real tool for adventure.
00:39The Crafter as a basis was deliberately chosen, as it provides the necessary robustness.
00:45In addition, there is an off-road package that not only gives the vehicle a new visual dimension,
00:50but also significantly shifts its technical capabilities towards off-road capability.
00:56A raised suspension, chunky tires, a snorkel and a bull bar make it immediately clear that this isn't about nice parking bays,
01:03but rather mud, rocks and occasionally even deeper water.
01:09A solid rear carrier with ladder and spare tire also makes it clear that the Ibex was not built for posing, but for real missions.
01:16A real highlight of the vehicle is the hand-crafted GRP roof.
01:23It not only withstands hail and small stone chips, but also offers an impressive standing height of 1.89 meters,
01:30which is a real plus point, especially for tall people.
01:34An integrated light bar provides enough light for nighttime expeditions to make headlamps superfluous.
01:40Anyone familiar with the Sunlight Clip 4x4 already knows that the brand has a thing for off-road vehicles.
01:48But the Ibex takes the concept even further.
01:52From the look to the technology, everything is coordinated so that you can take it off the beaten track.
01:57The outer skin is designed with topographical patterns in earthy tones.
02:03A kind of camouflage for the terrain and at the same time a homage to classic explorer times.
02:09The interior is more functional than luxurious, but that fits the character of the vehicle.
02:16Everything is robust, functional and reduced to the essentials.
02:19Made for people who are happier with mud on their boots than with Wi-Fi at the breakfast table.
02:27The Sunlight Ibex 4x4 is therefore not a fighter for the masses,
02:32but for those who prefer to plan their own routes, even if there is no road to get there.
