00:00Welcome to the video from the Auto Magazine Tuning Blog.
00:03Today we're talking about the 2024 Dettel's Globus Performance 4x4,
00:08the first all-wheel drive motorhome from Dettelift.
00:12The new semi-integrated vehicle focuses on off-road competence,
00:16an automatic key, and modern equipment,
00:18bringing a breath of fresh air to the off-road warrior segment.
00:21With the Globus Performance 4x4,
00:23the manufacturer from Isni is breaking new ground.
00:26Not only because it is the brand's first model with all-wheel drive,
00:31but also because the technical basis is unusual.
00:35Instead of relying on the Mercedes-Benz Star,
00:37as is often the case, Dettelift uses the VW Crafter as a platform.
00:43This not only results in the familiar comfort of the VW panel van,
00:47but also a fresh appearance with striking off-road elements
00:49such as a front bar and light bar.
00:51The vehicle offers 163 horsepower from a 2.0L turbo diesel engine
00:59combined with an 8-speed automatic transmission and a standard differential lock.
01:05The increased ground clearance,
01:08reinforced front axle with a load capacity of up to 2.1 tons,
01:12and air-sprung rear axle ensure that the camper is also adept off-road.
01:15Thanks to 18-inch off-road tires,
01:20it masters not only gravel roads but also winter conditions.
01:23With an exterior length of approximately 6.9 meters,
01:26the semi-integrated vehicle is compact enough for narrow paths,
01:29yet offers plenty of interior space for two travelers.
01:33In the living area, skylights, warm wooden furniture,
01:37anthracite accents, and modern felt paneling create a homely ambience.
01:41Technically, the Globus Performance 4x4 is state-of-the-art.
01:47A 5G Wi-Fi module from CamperNet enables mobile working and streaming
01:51at speeds of up to 20 gigabytes per second, even in remote regions.
01:56The Otter Key is particularly important for off-road campers.
02:01The Deadlift is equipped with a combination of AGM and lithium-ion batteries,
02:05providing a total power storage capacity of 263 ampere hours.
02:11This is sufficient for several days of independence from the power grid.
02:16A diesel heater and a compressor refrigerator reduce gas consumption to a minimum,
02:21so a small 2.8 kilograms gas bottle is sufficient for cooking.
02:26This saves space and creates more storage space, for example, in the rear garage.
02:32Electricity, water levels, and lighting can be controlled via an interior control panel.
02:38Inside, the layout follows a proven one.
02:41In the front area is a semi-dinette with swivel seats.
02:45This is followed by the kitchen with a two-burner gas stove and a 133L refrigerator.
02:52Opposite is the bathroom, equipped with a Klasana C1 dry toilet.
02:57Thanks to the swiveling bathroom, this area can be quickly converted into a shower.
03:01In the rear, there are two single beds with wardrobes underneath.
03:07Ideal for two people traveling.
03:11An electrically extendable step, combined with a 70cm wide body door and a particularly low coupe entry, ensures safe and comfortable entry.
03:19In addition to the awning, the standard equipment of the so-called first edition also includes roof rails and a rear ladder.
03:28Everything is finished in matte black.
03:30This also lends the camper a robust appearance.
03:33The infotainment system comes from the revised VW Crafter of the 2024 model year and features a 12.9-inch touchscreen display with Chad GPT integration.
03:44The traditional handbrake lever is omitted.
03:49Instead, an electronic parking brake is installed.
03:52Despite the extensive range of equipment, the curb weight remains just over 3 tons.
03:58However, the first edition package adds an additional 170 kg.
04:04To accommodate this weight, the vehicle has been increased to a technically permissible total mass of approximately 3.9 tons as standard.
04:11This means that it currently does not fall below the standard limit for Class B driving licenses.
04:19Anyone wishing to drive the vehicle therefore either needs a suitable driving license or must wait for the announced EU reform, which is expected to raise the limit to 4.20 tons.
04:29The price of the dead LFS Globibus Performance 4x4 starts at around 120,000 euros.
04:35For that, you get a motorhome consistently designed for road and off-road capability with numerous extras.
04:44Standard in the first edition.
04:47Anyone looking to get away from paved roads without sacrificing comfort will find an interesting offer here.
04:53As always, you'll find the link to read the article in our magazine in the video description.
