Jeep zeigt auf der Overland Expo West ein neues Konzept, das Offroad-Fans hellhörig machen dĂŒrfte: Der Jeep Wrangler 4xe Sunchaser wurde mit einem innovativen Dachzelt ausgestattet â dem ARTT-Konzept. Dieses Zelt aus Karbonfaser bringt Leichtigkeit, Aerodynamik und clevere Features wie einen Innenzugang ĂŒber die Freedom Panels mit sich.
Dazu gibtâs eine 270-Grad-Markise, Luftaufbau-Technologie und genug Platz fĂŒr eine Queen-Size-Matratze. 00:07a rooftop tent concept that builds on an existing concept vehicle, the Jeep Wrangler 4A Sunchaser concept.
00:16This extraordinary vehicle was unveiled at the Overland Expo West, where Jeep opened a new chapter in the off-road camping sector.
00:23The so-called Arte concept, short for Rooftop Tent, was developed together with the outdoor specialist Dometic and is intended to serve as a high-quality camping companion.
00:35As Jeep explains, rooftop tents are becoming increasingly popular, however, many of them are heavy and aerodynamically unfavorable.
00:43This is precisely where the new Arte Arte comes in.
00:46The tent construction consists of a lightweight carbon fiber shell that is specifically designed to minimize air turbulence.
00:55In addition, the direct attachment to the roof of the Wrangler 4E eliminates the need for a heavy roof rack.
01:02Once you arrive at your destination, GEP says that setting it up is particularly easy.
01:07This is made possible by Dometic's Airfame Inflation Technology and an integrated awning that can be folded out to an angle of 270 degrees.
01:20Inside the tent, there is a spacious sleeping area that can comfortably accommodate a queen-size mattress.
01:27Another clever detail is that the roof tent can be accessed from the inside of the vehicle itself.
01:31This is made possible by the Wrangler's removable freedom panels.
01:37A carbon step can be installed above the center console to make entry easier.
01:42The underlying vehicle, the Wrangler FIA SunChaser concept, was unveiled at the Easter Jeep Safari in Moab, Utah, earlier this year.
01:52It stands out with numerous custom elements.
01:55These include ventilated fender flares, side skirts and side-mounted storage compartments reminiscent of the Land Rover Defender.
02:06The whole thing is complemented by worn winch, a distinctive bumper bar and special leather upholstery with glossy black trim.
02:13The vehicle has been raised by 2 inches and rolls on 37-inch BF Goodrich KM3 off-road tires.
