00:00Welcome to the video from the Car Magazine Tuning Blog.
00:04Today it's all about the Romando Pegasus, a new lifestyle campervan from Slovenia,
00:10which was first presented at the CMT 2025 in Stuttgart.
00:15The manufacturer Robeta is behind the Romando Pegasus, which is still relatively unknown in
00:21Germany. With the new subsidiary brand Romando, the company aims to appeal primarily to a young,
00:27design-oriented audience. The Pegasus is the only model based on the Mercedes Sprinter.
00:34The other models, Siren, Swinx, and Lifestyle, are based on the Stellantis Van Citroen Jumper,
00:41Fiat Dacato, or Opel Movano. The Pegasus is based on the Mercedes Sprinter 315 CDI.
00:50As standard, it has a technically permissible total weight of 3.5 tons,
00:55a 150-horsepower turbodiesel engine, and a 6-speed manual transmission.
01:01Those who want more power can opt for the more powerful 190-horsepower diesel.
01:06For an additional charge of approximately 3,000 euros,
01:09the manual transmission can be replaced with a new stepped automatic transmission.
01:14If you opt for this combination of automatic transmission and a powerful engine,
01:18the Pegasus can even be ordered with all-wheel drive.
01:23For the perfect off-road feel, Romando offers a special off-road package for around 9,000 euros.
01:31This includes, among other things, a spare tire carrier at the rear, sandboards on the sides,
01:37a roof rack, a front bar, and additional headlights.
01:40A raised suspension and special off-road tires are also available.
01:47Those looking for extra comfort can also opt for the Mercedes air suspension.
01:54Semi-automatic air conditioning is standard equipment on all Sprinter camper vans.
01:58For more technology and comfort, you need the so-called pro equipment, which costs well over 15,000 euros.
02:08This includes, among other things, full LED headlights, a larger 93-liter diesel engine,
02:15a 360-degrees camera, a leather steering wheel, and assistance systems such as active cruise control,
02:21blind spot assist, and lane departure warning.
02:24The MBS infotainment system with a 10.25-inch touchscreen is also part of this package.
02:32The name Pegasus was not chosen at random.
02:36Like the Siren and Shinx models, Romando draws on mythological references.
02:44Pegasus, the winged horse from ancient Greece, symbolizes freedom and the urge to reach new heights.
02:49This is appropriately illustrated by a large winged decorative film on the sides of the vehicle.
02:56But freedom comes at a price.
02:59Entry into the Womando Pegasus starts at around 98,000 euros.
03:04For that, however, you get a vehicle handcrafted in northern Slovenia from Shenzhen Spravagradu,
03:09not far from the Austrian border.
03:11Inside, however, it quickly becomes apparent that the Pegasus is also subject to the strict
03:18specifications of the sprinter body.
03:22The floor plan is rather conventional.
03:25There are no ostentatious surprises.
03:28This corresponds to the standard for the class.
03:30However, anyone hoping for Greek kitsch or an ornate interior will be disappointed.
03:38The furniture and upholstery appear modern and understated.
03:42The seating area in the front consists of two swivel driver's seats and a two-seater bench
03:47in row two.
03:49Between them is a drop-in table with an extension.
03:53The entire setup is also available with an optional air furniture construction, which is said to
03:58be particularly lightweight and largely free of creaking noises.
04:02Furniture surfaces are available either in a wood look or in a simple white combined with
04:07gray upholstery.
04:10The LED lighting is partially housed in brushed aluminum and ensures a high-quality appearance.
04:18The kitchen is located along the sliding door and comes standard with a flyscreen.
04:23It includes a two-burner gas stove, a separately coverable sink, and a 70-liter refrigerator that
04:33opens from both sides.
04:36Despite the vehicle's compact length of just 5.9 meters, the kitchenette offers a surprisingly
04:42large work surface.
04:44The bathroom is space-saving but offers everything you need for everyday camping.
04:49A cassette toilet is standard.
04:54A trendy toilet is available at an additional cost.
04:57The fresh water tank holds an impressive 112 liters.
05:02The waste water tank is insulated as standard and is emptied via an electric valve.
05:08An outdoor shower can be added for around 250 euros.
05:11The rear houses a double bed, which is the maximum capacity given the vehicle's size.
05:21However, the narrow body of the Sprinter creates a cramped feeling.
05:26For an additional charge of around 4,000 euros, side extensions are available to create a little
05:32more room in the bed.
05:33This is a problem that almost all Sprinter-based campervans struggle with.
05:40Those traveling with more than two people can optionally order a pop-top roof with a sleeping
05:45area of 120 by 200 centimeters.
05:49An additional sleeping space can also be created from the seating area.
05:53This means that up to 5 people can sleep in the Womando Pegasus, although only 4 are allowed
06:00to travel.
06:02As always, you can find the link to read the article in our magazine in the video description.
06:08Was the information about the Womando Pegasus interesting?
06:11Then please subscribe.
06:23We'll see you next time.
06:24Bye.
