00:00Welcome to the video from the CarMagazine Tuning Blog.
00:09Today, it's all about the BMW M2 G87 project vehicle, which is a homage to the E30's DTMA.
00:17Unfortunately, we don't have any video footage of this spectacular vehicle,
00:21but we do have a series of impressive photos that we have to present to you in a small video.
00:26The pictures are simply too cool not to show.
00:30The second BMW M2, the G87, has been on the market for two years now,
00:36giving the tuners plenty of time to unleash their creativity.
00:41This project comes from Eisenman, who have given the compact sports car a retro look
00:46that is reminiscent of the glory days of the M3 E30 in the DTM.
00:51The extensive modifications naturally begin with a new Eisenman exhaust system.
00:56This features flap control and a slip-on rear silencer that ends in four tailpipes,
01:03each with a diameter of 110mm.
01:07These are available in carbon, aluminum, or black anodized chrome.
01:12For fans of particularly aggressive sounds, there is also a race version that releases additional decibels.
01:18However, this version is not approved for use in Germany.
01:22The visual upgrade of the M2 includes an alpha and aerodynamic kit made of carbon fiber.
01:28Of course, this also includes new rims.
01:31The standard BMW rims have been replaced with forged wheels in a star design,
01:35measuring 20 inches at the front and 21 inches at the rear.
01:38To perfectly showcase them, they are fitted with Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires.
01:44The front ones are in the Dimension 28530R20.
01:48The rear ones are in 295A21.
01:52An adjustable coilover suspension ensures precise driving dynamics.
01:58Inside, Eisenman has equipped the vehicle with a roll bar that is painted in the same white color as the vehicle itself,
02:04which adds the finishing touch to the racetrack look.
02:07Under the hood, much remains unchanged, but a few details stand out.
02:13A carbon fiber intake system from Aventory emphasizes the car's performance aspirations.
02:19The output of the standard S58 engine has already been increased by BMW to 473hp,
02:27an increase of 20hp compared to the original version.
02:30The maximum torque is now 600Nm with the optional 8-speed automatic transmission.
02:35A jump of 50Nm compared to the base model.
02:40The outlook is exciting.
02:43An M2 CS with over 500hp is set to follow in 2025, but without a manual transmission.
02:49Rumors also suggest that BMW is planning an X-Drive version for 2026,
02:54which will equip the M2 with all-wheel drive for the first time.
02:57Whether you are impressed by the sound of the exhaust system or the design of this retro-inspired M2,
03:04this vehicle is a real eye-catcher.
