00:09Today, we're going to take a look back at the impressive Peugeot Legend concept,
00:14which was unveiled about 6 years ago.

00:24The Peugeot e-Legend was a real highlight at the time and caused quite a stir.
00:28Not only because of its chic retro luxury look,
00:32which was very reminiscent of the legendary Peugeot 504,
00:35but also because of its impressive technical specifications.
00:39With an electric motor that delivers a whopping 460 horsepower to all four wheels,
00:44the concept was supposed to accelerate from 0 to 200 kilometers in less than 4 seconds.
00:51In addition, there was the huge battery with a capacity of 100 kilowatts,
00:56which would have given the car a range of 600 kilometers.
01:01Values that would make many electric cars look old-fashioned even today.
01:06But the Peugeot e-Legend was actually just intended as a concept to transport Peugeot's brand image into the future.
01:12A series production model was never planned.
01:16Nevertheless, there were hopes that the car might become a reality.
01:19Even the then-POOT CEO Jean-Philippe Imperato was enthusiastic about the idea
01:26and tweeted shortly after the presentation that there was a chance of putting the e-Legend into series production.
01:32But only under one condition.
01:35A petition would have to be signed by 500,000 supporters in order to convince Peugeot.
01:39Whether this number was ever reached, to be honest, we don't know.
01:45But it doesn't look like we'll hear anything more about the e-Legend.
01:50Too bad, isn't it?
01:52The petition that was so much in demand back then can no longer be found.
01:57At least we didn't find it, although it attracted a lot of attention at the time.
02:01The idea of seeing the L in series production excited many fans.
02:08But in the meantime, the dream of this car seems to have faded.
02:12Which is a shame, really, because with its technology and design it would have had a lot to offer.

02:23While the e-Leg will likely never make it beyond the concept stage,
02:26it remains a symbol of Peugeot's vision for the future of electric mobility.
