02:51this 85cc powerhouse is ready to take the hearts of young riders by storm.
02:58For the 2025 model year,
03:00KTM has spared no effort in comprehensively redesigning the 85SX.
03:04An all-new frame made of high-strength chrome-molded steel
03:10forms the basis for improved handling and increased confidence on the track.
03:16With carefully calculated longitudinal and torsional rigidity,
03:20the frame offers unparalleled feedback and ensures excellent energy absorption and stability,
03:24especially when riding in a straight line.
03:26The one-piece boom made of polyamide glass fiber and steel reduces the overall weight
03:33and creates space for the integration of modern electronics.
03:37The new aluminum swingarm, manufactured using the gravity die casting process,
03:42is not only lighter thanks to a weight reduction of around 300 grams,
03:46but also stiffer and more stable than ever before.
03:50A 20mm rear axle complements the chassis
03:53and optimizes the cornering characteristics for an even better ride.
03:58The new frame angle of 63.5 degrees,
04:01which is half a degree flatter than the previous model
04:03and has been moved back by 6mm,
04:05contributes to improved cornering stability.
04:10Together with an extended steering angle of 35 degrees,
04:13which has been increased by 2 degrees,
04:15this enables more agile and confident handling, even at high speeds.
04:19The engine position has been rotated upwards by 3k
04:23to create a more direct connection point with the swingarm.

04:29but it has a big impact on weight distribution
04:31and ensures extremely effective balance, especially on jumps.

04:42The new fully adjustable WPX-ACT shock absorber
04:46is in line with the latest technology from the big motocross models.
04:52With a more compact design and shorter stroke,
04:55it offers improved feedback and more stability,
04:57especially on rough tracks and bigger jumps.
05:01The reduced travel of 289mm compared to 305mm
05:06on the previous model significantly improves control of rebound and compression,
05:10ensuring better traction and optimized handling.
05:15At the front, KTM continues to rely on the proven 43mm WPX-AI USD fork with air technology.
05:24The air pressure has been adjusted from 5.0 bars to 4.8 bars
05:28for a smoother ride and better suspension compliance.
05:33The engine itself has been revised to deliver more low-end and rev-range power.
05:37With a new cylinder head, a new spark plug,
05:42updated ignition and carburetor settings,
05:44as well as a new rear silencer and shift drum,
05:47the KTM 85SX 225 sets new standards in its class.
05:53The completely redesigned,
05:55sleeker bodywork takes its cues from the full-size SX series
05:58and offers not only visual appeal but also functional advantages.

06:07new foot pegs,
06:08a larger radiator and an improved triple clamp.
